Man, I have not had this sense of accomplishment in a game since bloodborne and I can't even remember before that. That feeling when you give mechs to your party and as you roll across the plains and then transform as a team, dang. It just felt good.

Miiverse pic of the new mechs in the background in the barracks

WVW69isZMUsEcRQpeL

Mine is the one on the left, Elma's is the middle, and Lin is the last on the right

First things I did was go to primodia, noctilum and oblivia and try to go to the probe points I couldn't get to last time. I got a couple. I also had to back off a few as well since they were crawling with level 50+ enemies and tyrants that have high level enemy entourages lol. I'm surprised at the stuff that were easy to get to but I missed anyway. Its weird.

I also did Frye's mission to unlock him as a party member. First time to Syvalum. Even on an alien planet, it is seriously the MOST alien looking region. It just looks weird, in a good way of course lol. And the music for it is really good.

Props on the bunny mech

The terminal near the kitchen and on the way to the Network terminal in your barracks has a Skell hangar menu you can do general management in. This is where you refuel, repair, assign Skells and stuff. Just dick around a bit in it, it's fairly intuitive.

It was an issue for Light Type Skells for me but once I went heavy and got some arts that stagger to bind enemies it became a non-issue. Well, at least until I got the Ares 90 and kinda overused that one art that uses 2000 fuel, lol. But at that point you have so much Miranium it's not an issue either.

So the fuel costs get that high? The highest I've seen so far is 200 fuel.

How do you refuel them...? Do they reful themselves? They only use fuel when using Arts?

This freaking game explains shit lol. As always.

A skell will slowly refuel as long as you are outside of it.

If you want a quick boost, you can trade some miranium for fuel at the Barracks Console.

Oh yeah, what's the deal with Binding enemies in the Skell? That just happens randomly?

You keep them from moving/attacking and you inflict some damage on them it appears?

So what are tickets really good for? I capped 950 and scrolled down a seemingly endless list of materials and drops. Managed to complete a quest I had hanging but still had a bunch of tickets.

When the enemy is staggered you press ZL + ZR to bind it yourself. You keep it from making a move and you recover fuel at the same time.

You can use them to buy items dropped by monsters.

If you don't care for endgame ie getting the Ares Skell and other crafting, then you can feel free to use them to get quest items really.

I can't say anything about the really endgame Skells, but that one is a massive outlier among the Ares 90's Arts. The next highest is like 200 and the others around 50. There are still three Skell Frames that are labelled ??? in my AM terminal, maybe those get more insane but I'm not even close to them, I think.

Seidr Control Devices from Seidrs around FN505 in the air near the spires. Try breaking the head. Crude Neilnail Masks from Neilnails in their time attack mission. Better off using reward tickets for that one.

I've already forgotten it. Don't want to start her affinity mission, or it'll really all be over...

"Hey Mia, what do you use for your hair? It's always so shiny and stuff!" "Manon oil shampoo! All the girls in the city are hooked!"

thanks!

That's what they're for. They help a lot in postgame since you can farm the Global Nemesis by breaking its body parts and selling them for Reward Tickets, which you can then use to avoid horrendous drop rates for other materials.

Don't waste them on things that require like ~5 minutes to farm, though. Also, when you hit BLADE rank 10 your cap for them will be 9999, which helps.

If you got stuck on a quest that requires item drops from enemies or from mining, just buy them with the tickets.

Aside from that, you may need them for farming materials for developing new equipment and skells.

Okay go to the Upgrade Weapons tab and find a weapon you can upgrade. All the materials that you need for upgrading can be purchased with tickets.

So make a "shopping list" of materials that you need for upgrading weapons and go to town. Reward tickets are more valuable than gold and miranium!!!

Oh wow. I was blocking images on the internet leading up to the game's release. Didn't realize Jim Sterling put up a picture of
Divine Roost
in his review. That kinda stuff in an exploration game like this is as much a spoiler to me as story details.

I reached level 50 and the option of buying level 50 Skells is available to me.

Worth it or should I wait till post-game for the level 60 Skells?

Might as well get one for yourself. Basically anything to make later things easier. You'll reach a point where you're raking in so much money that you might as well buy everyone level 50 Skells. I have a level 60 Mastema and an Ares 90 so I could just deck out my key members in 60s while reserve members get 50s lol

Where do I find the next Mia's mission after the first one? I can't find her.

If it's after you get her some gear, then she should be in Noctilum at the Skybound Coil Tree. Keep going up and look out for the quest on the minimap. I think it's after Chapter 5.

Man you can get your teammates from low level to 40+ in no time. Kill a level 50+ monster with somebody in the teens and they're getting 9999 experience.

RNGesus hates me. I've been trying to farm Advanced Cores from Xedoms at Sylvalum near 401, and after several attempts, Skell explosions and near death experiences, it only gave me three Advanced Cores. Fuck this shit, looks like I'll have to get this using tickets now... *sigh*

IIRC you have to destroy their legs for a really high chance for it to drop.

Yes, I've been destroying but it just won't drop. I'm actually very careful when fighting this thing because if I miss a Bind, all my Skells will get destroyed. I don't know whats wrong with these things but if something goes wrong, I won't even be able to reduce it to half HP.

I dont think you can save her can you?

You can. Before you speak to her, after you find her Skell. On the left side is a red pickup which is her bracelet. Then nod and tell her you understand or something and appeal to her with the bracelet. She'll remember her promise and survive.

So...if one of your npcs has their mech blow up, it doesn't cost you your insurance or anything? Because Elma thought it'd be cool to have hers get taken to the cleaners >.<

As long as the Skell has insurance on it, it won't cost you if an AI blows it up. Just gotta go to BLADE barracks, the Barracks terminal you see when you arrive and go to Skell menu through it to immediately have the Skells with insurance returned.

Ahhh yes...I see my grandmaster plan to (sidequest spoiler)
spare the piglets so that they would grow up and lead the rebellion against NLA has gone off without a hitch.

This the one going to Cauldros? If so, yes.

Yes as in you can? Or yes as in you can't? I save-scummed that quest hard and I couldn't save her irregardless of choices.

Oh sneaky.

Oh well.

What does that loud, high pitched sound during battle signify? Can I turn it off? It's destroying my brain :(

If it's what I think it it, check the positional icon above the right side of the palette. It makes a sound if you go into melee range of a target. A test is to target a monster that won't target you, such as a monster about 10 levels below you. Now, get close enough to get the positional icon red. Then go far enough to get rid of the red. Then get close again. Is it that sound?

Oh man thanks, I was a bit worried of where hers went.

I bought this, for some reason. Just got to New LA, digging it so far.
Just wait until you get a mech and and can give the middle finger laser to some of those high level monsters that harassed you before.

I'm doing the "No Ma'non Need Apply" mission and I can't find the person who's supposed to be at the tennis court. I found the other two, but I go right to where the dot is and there's no one there.

Anyone know what to do? I've also had a problem with Elma and others refusing to load, so maybe it's something to do with that?

Alright. I do have quite a bit of cash on hand so getting one of the cheaper 50 Skells won't break me at the moment.

I've completely neglected my ground game. I've basically forgotten all about it, I've gone 99% Skell for the last 50 hours.

For quest markers covering a yellow area, the blue dot just signifies its centre. The speech bubble you're looking for is on the outside edge of the district, near some containers.

So is there anyway to have audio play through headphones without completely having the display set to the gamepad? I'd like to still be able to see the map while using headphones.

That scene looks familiar. Is that from the mission where they showed you how they
reproduced with that water?

They seriously look straight out of Metroid Prime 2 though lol

I did that for a while when I got Skells.

Now I'm balancing the two because making a good ground build pays off and feels good when it works well.

There are nuances to both that make each feel different enough imo.

Yes... I thought that the
water was going to dissolve him and they were going to absorb him
, and even that was not as crazy as the thing that actually happened.

How do I make skell fighting not suck so much? I can legit outdamage my skell by 500% on the ground. Outside of G-Buster it does fuck all. My dude can outdamage G-Buster and do it again 10s later.
