That last pic, the hell is happening there?!Need some light.

Could someone answer why they're afraid of vocals? I think the music has even insanely underrated so far and so it's quite frustrating to see so many people jumping on the 'music can't be good with vocals' bandwagon.
Watched the video a few more times, debuff arts really looks like a wild card during OC Gears.
Anyway, This fan made doll video is pretty good.
Using my (nonexistent) photoshop skills, I have made an attempt to enhance some of the hidden backgrounds.

This is the music that played during the Overclock Gear part in the battle overview video.

Just like in the first game, you can play as other party members. It was like that for a while, not exactly sure when it was confirmed, but I'm confident that it was like that always, but they didn't show it in the first two trailers at least.I admittedly having been following this game as closely as I should but I thought you could only control your player character, but this video shows you playing as Lynn and Elma, did they change it or I am just mis-remembering things?
From what I've seen.Alright so correct me if I'm wrong.
YesChaining the same color arts successively like melee art to melee art grants an increase in the "combo counter"
depending on how many hits that art hits.depending on how many hits that art has.
We've seen multiple times that purple arts after melee arts still increase count.Chaining different arts on the other hand grant buffs within the O.C gear but does not increase the count.
I think so.Ex: Green to yellow grants a buff, purple to green grants buff but doesn't raise the counter number.
So finding a balance between these two is important.
I don't know if they made it clear from the start, but in the first game you always play as the party's lead character. It'll be the same here.I admittedly having been following this game as closely as I should but I thought you could only control your player character, but this video shows you playing as Lynn and Elma, did they change it or I am just mis-remembering things?
Damn, I'm going to have to get a Wii-U aren't I?

Wow that was fast. Thanks!
Edit: Nice translation. Finished reading Part 3. So technically, NLA is not Los Angeles, but only used LA as a reference model for the residential district. Pretty much changed my perception about the new city.
Damn, didn't realize this game came out next month in Japan.
I thought it was still a long way off.
Elma mentioned it near the end of the Treehouse demos, after arriving at the city. I think she used almost the exact same words as the overview/exploration video, it being "named for the city it was modeled after."...I'm not sure if they mentioned it earlier than that though.
Really? They mentioned that in the overview/exploration video 2 months ago for sure, I'm not sure if they mentioned it earlier than that though.
They were talking about how it's modeled after Los Angeles, and it's deliberately built to be like home so that we can relax in space. I still have to read this story, but they've all been great so far with the background. I'm pretty hyped for the story of this game, along with everything else.
Finished part 3 of the short story.

Nagi’s thoughts drifted to the hero who disappeared after fighting off the bio-weapons, and the subordinate who mobilized with him. Colonel Elma was like his right-hand man, and Irina and Guin trusted her immensely. If she were around to guide the Residential Sector, they wouldn’t have had anything to worry about.
So I just got done reading part 3 and one thing I noticed is that even by the end of this story Elma is missing, I might have to go reread but I dont remember if they said the pilot that disappeared was a he or she, and if no gender connotations were used, its most likely Elma which begs the question of where in the world did Elma go, even at the end of part 3 we didnt have a clue where she might be, but she is clearly aware of neo los angelos and is familiar with the place by the time the game timeline starts.

Über hype. We should be getting the dolls video next week as far as I remember...
She was Nagi's right-hand, though it's not really clear if the story was specifically referring to her as the hero's subordinate. I switched a (pro)noun around to make the hand thing a bit more clear now.Elma and hands

I'm in love
I'm jumping off that first chance I get.
Hopefully that will get you experience points like it did the first time in Xenoblade.
I think that's been confirmed already hasn't it?
Next week or the week after. One of those.
Ahh ok cool, thanks. Must've gotten it mixed up with FF15. Good to know.

I'd be so cool if you can ride your mech after jumping off
Yes! Will read it later.Finished part 3 of the short story.

Can someone translate what Takahashi said here?Seems that he accidentally revealed that XenobladeX having 16 chapters? Though he also said Xenoblade having 12 chapters, which I recall to be 17.
