I wonder if Cartoon Network had full advance warning that Disney was going to can Clone Wars season six.

'Cause with that show suddenly gone, it makes canning YJ and GL look even dumber. You can't say they're just going to ride on the ratings of the "popular" show.

Yea, add to that the fact that many people have moved on to other gigs. On top of that smgo.tv sounds like it may be a internet TV site that wants to broadcast the show, not produce new episodes. someone tweeted a quote in Giancarlo Volpe's twitter conversation about the site. he quoted the site saying. ""crowdfund the broadcasting rights for this show." That sounds to me as if they want to be able to stream it, not crowdfund new episodes.

I don't know about RS, but Adventure Time sells a shit load of merch (toys, dolls, DVD's, etc). AT is very popular, but RS does pretty well in its own right. I think RS is starting to get merchandise as well. They released some dolls and the dvd's last year.

It's not just CN, WB rely too much on Batman and Superman. They also abandon anything they deem a failure. It's why we will never see a show with a single/multiple female leads, because they deemed the Wonder Woman DTV a failure.

Thats kinda understandable though(WW is tied with UTRH as my favorite) it is a hard sell for animated superhero's target audience(but many companies are avoiding it for all mediums). though I do think they are missing out on a full SBFF series.
They really need to do better with females in team-ups to get young boys into those characters.
for example even as a 13-16 year old at the time Raven & Starfire were my #2&3 characters on Teen Titans
on the other hand from Young Justice Miss Martian I hated and I didn't like Artemis much till later in the season.
Cheshire was the only great female on the show.

Im a little disappointed in Bruce Timm for not attempting more DTV with female characters under the guise of the typical Batman, Superman, JL movies.
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse for example Kara, Wonder Woman and even Barda played important roles.

I'd love to see a Batman movie that was about Batgirl

Okay, some weird developments recently.

There has been a crownfunding campaign with smgo.tv to bring both shows back. Aparently, it has really attention caught attention.

On their official Tumblr, they posted this today:

Hi All,

Apologies for the delayed posting here on Tumblr and Facebook – as you might have heard via our tweet last night, there is a meeting on the books with WB to discuss bringing back GLTAS and YJ. The meeting is set for April 11.

We are extremely excited to be meeting with them and we will do everything we possibly can to get your shows’ formal approval. They are listening; your support pushed this to the top, so thank them and continue to tell them you want the chance to bring these shows back. It’s working.

We will continue to keep you informed as we progress with these shows. Hope to have more info soon.

#Motorcity, #DTTBIA23, #666PA fans, we haven’t stopped working for your shows either, so please keep fighting the good fight. We will continue to reach out to the appropriate people this week to try to set up a meeting.
