Yeah. If anti-vaxxers are "dying by the hundreds of thousands" then it's a self-solving problem.
If most unvaccinated people are right-wing and apparently black people too, after they have died out earth will become a paradise where only science-loving left-wing white liberals will have survived.

As regards to China and the whole notion of vaccine passports as being the first step to a social credit scheme, it may seem fanciful and exaggerated but the reality is any such system would effectively require the mobilization of state resources to administrate and validate. That's a real and concrete example of the creation of an apparatus for a controlled, not a free. society.
What needs to be understood is that as things stand Covid is not going away. Even Israel which led by having a very aggressive and successful vaccination program has been hit by a third wave of Delta-variant infections. To the degree that now they are forging ahead with a third dosage in order to curtail its spread.
Its important that we don't see this as a one-and-done, or even two-and-done type of deal. It isn't going to end quickly so we better be prepared to live with Covid.
So, what we're looking at a 6 monthly booster jabs, which is hardly a normal pattern of innoculation for any disease, plus a state apparatus calling for "paper's please" if you want access to basic social amenities! Does that sound good to you?
Does it not at least seem like a thing that should be being talked about?

Sounds good. Will probably take 50 more years to really make an impact though, if you look at tobacco.

I don't disagree with you. I don't believe the way things are right now is ideal. There should be more recourse for people in the type of situation you have outlined.
But a flat Earth story is different from a defamation story. People can discuss what they choose to, I don't think someone should step in and provide conclusions. Speaking about any work of fiction would be considered misinformation if we apply the broad standards we are seeing today.

Vaccines perform a biological function. They can be clinically proven to be safe and effective.
While that means there's no place for allowing false or misleading information, I don't trust Youtube in large part due to how prevalent right wing content is on the site.

The problem is that words have been twisted and redefined. Everything is political. The sheer divisiveness and the immediate political draw is quite evident in this thread. Real shame to see though it is so commonplace these days.
How is youtube to even be trusted with accuracy? Was it only not till recent that the lab leak theory was taboo and ban worthy? The point is to think about everything and not knee jerk react to everything.

I got my second shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine yesterday. Everyone in my immediate family has been vaccinated. I think it's the better option even if I don't fully trust these vaccines. Regarding both efficacy and side effects.
But I find it very worrisome watching countries going full fascistic about it and I certainly don't trust Google to be the arbiter of truth.

For those who can't see the slippery slope that arises from banning thought/discussion of any kind, no matter how ill-informed or misguided, I hope you enjoy your future. Youtube is such a large platform, and a primary source of information for for many people, for better or worse. Corporate owned or not, something that is such a significant hub for the dissemination of information/discussion, shouldn't have the ability to censor in this manner imho.

You underestimate brainwashing. A small yet devoted portion of YouTube users have been led to dangerous beliefs, along the lines of deeming most other websites on the Internet outside YouTube to be "communist propaganda".

The information is out there. Until corporations and ISPs start shutting down individuals IPs and access to certain sites this will have 0 impact on so called disinformation.

Censorship is good in some cases. You don't want child porn, terrorism and so on Youtube either. But those things are illegal. I think that is the worrisome part of corporations becoming so powerful. Laws get made by government, chosen by the people. But big tech make their 'laws' based on short term gain for share holders.

Even the Pfizer CEO is talking about 'possibly' yearly jabs. Chances are that won't happen. And yeah most inniculatiom doesn't follow this because nearly everyone is vaccinated from childhood and so your chance of encountering measles is very low. So your maybe 80% effective at preventing symptomatic disease at age 50 vaccine is good enough - you get your initial shot and one booster in childhood and you are basically good.
Right now we are in a pandemic with 100,000 new cases per day of COVID, which means that your chances of encountering the virus is orders of magnitude higher than measles and so your 80% effective vaccine in a 50 year old with one booster might not be good enough.
Plus the state apparatus known as public schools has been calling for 'papers please' for a long time and we should all be glad it has.

"The right thing" is about perspective. Without any basis of this sentiment then it is just vague and easily manipulatable. Good luck trying to take away power from Google now that they have it. Especially consider your words and history.
