Is this because of the PS4 fiasco? I thought Amazon usually handle LE decently.
Someone that has their LE already, can you all tell me if "Prelude to Omen" from Ys Origin is on the music CDs? *Crossing Fingers*
The JP version does not work out of the box. Had you said that that was why you reasoned the way you did, I could have old you that before.I never claimed it would, I said I suspected it would because (supposedly) the Japanese version of the game works with Vita TV out of the box, even without the patch.
That doesn't appear to be the case with the NA release, though, unfortunately.
So, totally confirmed now... that there is nothing extra for PS Plus members after all. 50% off is as low as you get! No soup for you!

Is anyone else having trouble downloading this on their Vita? I bought it, then it goes to download and the little icon moves to the top right of the Vita, but it looks like a ripped in half page and says something like missing page or missing data
Then I check my list of things downloading and it says its downloading but it's stuck at 12 MB/785 MB and not moving
Do I need to know anything about previous games before starting this one? Thinking about buying but don't want to be completely lost from the beginning.
Anyone know if the LE will come to Europe as well, i really wanna get that
I don't really know anything about this series but it has my interest. What sort of games are there that I might have played that are similar to this game? Is it anything like Star Ocean?
The only time this matters is Ys II and maybe the original version of Ys IV. This is remade in a way that kills that kind of dependence, and good luck finding II in English without the first game.Do I need to know anything about previous games before starting this one? Love it when game item upgrades are actaully visible on the character. New sword!
Eat it, sucker
These enemies are quite cute :3
I wonder if something is going to happen here...
I wonder if these are important here hmmmmm
y cant Adol swim. Assuming you need a different party member here.
Holy crap at this overworld. It's huge, I'm not used to being lost in an Ys game. It does really give a great feeling of exploration though, I also like having a choice of where to go first. Not sure if I like Duren's transformation into NotDogi though.
The LE contents are really cool too. The book smells nice.
Good, that'd have been massively disappointing for this series had it not been more or less fully interconnected world. That's been a staple outside of Ys III and that has the excuse of being a sorta weird experiment. So far (2-3 hours in), no that's not the case. The forest is segmented into zones which all connect into each other, and you open shortcuts along the way to open up more possible pathways. So it's not seamless, you load from zone to zone but some of the zones are quite large. Only time you select something on the map is when you are using a warp point.

Did anyone else have trouble opening the limited edition or am I just a moron?
Few hours put into it. Around ~30% of the forest, found two campsites leading, presumably, leading to Duren's two markers. Was gonna play until another party member but I guess that's further down than I though,
From today's adventure.
Have to go on a roadtrip tomorrow where I'll be passenger half the time so I'll be able to sink some time into it.
It's Ys, it's more about the gameplay and music than anything, but Celceta stands next to Origin among my favorites because it has stronger character development than your average Ys title. I like the first half of the story a lot up to a certain point, but wasn't fond of a particular twist. This could vary between people, though, so I still say give it a shot if you're the type who likes a likable of characters and solid gameplay.
