I love that thing in the background. I really can't wait to play this game.

your right the Wind Waker art was nice but the game just didnt look like did it :\

I thought it was perfectly done in game other than Link and in some cases I thought his in-game model looked better than the art. Of course, other times the art looked much better.

Blues eyes again.

What was the reasoning behind changing Wind Waker's Link's eyes from the original, and persistant, blue to the black again?

I know it was originally blue..... it was blue in early screen shots...... but they changed it to black.

I forgot why.

2 things:

definitely check out the E3 rountable footage on IGN. the complaints about the grass on the overworld seem unjustified (not to imply anyone in this particular thread assumed the defect...)

Lush visuals.

and.

check the n-sider preview. it kicks tail. :)

IIRC, in Wind Waker, they had Link's eyes changing color to reflect circumstance... I think kinda like Navi's glow depending on what she locked on. Red for enemy, green for neutral point of interest, etc. But they decided it looked to "creepy" and went with one solid color instead. Good choice, IMHO.

Nah, they should add voice acting to the series soon, as long as it's good. It'll be fine if they don't do it in TP, but on Revolution, it should have voice acting. Just one of those things that needs to eventually change, especially for a game that should be telling an epic story.

But yeah, this game looks amazing. The haters are funny.

I love your avatar.

It's not about TP Link being Angsty. He just looks really dirty and grungy. And he seems to have a lot more jagged edges.

Really? Where'd you hear this? :o

Nintendo rep that visits our store.

-Zelda movie in kiosks this month
-Zelda demos in kiosks next month
-Zelda TP Collector's Edition ONLY available to preorders.

And for once... I'm not screwing around here.

You can make this your own thread if you want. Didnt think it was too big a deal. :P

Nah, lol, you can do that.

Any word on what will be in the Collector's Edition?

Did he tell you if Nintendo was planning on making the demo available through pre-orders, or if they'll be distributing the demo at all?

If I already pre-ordered, can I upgrade to the CE?

FIGHT THE MACHINE MDM.

Damn right Zeo. A responsible government would step in and call Miyamoto out for child abuse.

Edit: Perhaps maybe reckless abandonment. I'm not sure how involved he is with Twilight Princess.

The last thing I heard was that it'll automatically carry over, and you can cancel the CE for the normal game if you want. I'm reserving a CE anyway.

No, there were no details regarding that, though Nintendo may opt to do an OL thing like they tried with MP2E last year to get more exposure. Just a hunch on my part though.

I don't think that Nintendo will be doing the demo giveaway like they did for MP2:E.

I mean, really, how much more exposure does the new Zelda need? MP, I can understand as it was going up against Halo 2 and GTA:SA, but Zelda is Zelda, and it'll sell regardless.

True, but there is the X360 launching around the same time and maybe a tad earlier.

You have a point. But, let's be honest, the most likely scenario is that almost every Cube owner is probably going to pick up Zelda. Total install base of a last-gen system will be far greater than a newly launched system.

That's why I don't think Nintendo really cares about the demo.

I hope your right, dude. Majora's Mask suffered because of the PS2's launch.

I think it suffered partly because of the PS2 launch hype, but really the game wasn't as popular as OoT or even TWW were.

If they do voice-acting, it better be Japanese with subtitles. I wouldn't be able to stand stereotypical American accents. On top of that, there's something elegant about Japanese.

:lol are you shitting me?

True. But remember, the Zelda fanbase has broken apart since the days of the N64.

The reqirement of the RAM expansion pack to play also limited sales.

Zelda fans who werent interested in WW who havent bought gamecubes might be tempted by TP.

We'll see about that with TP. Zelda's one of the few Nintendo franchises this gen that's been about par for course.

That's a very good point. I completely forgot about that.

I just saw a quick clip of the G-phoria thing, and these two girls were talking about how awesome TP is looking. One of the chicks said something stupid, though. They talked about how Link can turn into a wolf, and one girl is like 'Finally, we can play as someone else!".

......

And I hope WW didn't scare away too many people long enough to convert to the other consoles.

That's crazy. No game outside of a launch window has ever, in the history of gaming, come close to selling to "almost every owner".

The best Zelda:TP can hope to do is probably 5-6 million worldwide (out of ~20 million Cube owners), and that's only if Nintendo puts some serious marketing behind it (unlikely) and the game gets some over-the-top word of mouth and hype. If there are midnight launch parties and mainstream news stories about Twilight Princess (a la Halo 2), it'll be on the right track.

I'd love to see TP become a huge seller and put the series on fire to give the Rev some momentum, but I really think it's too little, too late, no matter how great the game is. The "last hurrah" comment in every review of the game will ensure that people think twice about buying a Cube for it, that's for sure.

Zelda:TP will do good, though it's probable that many cube owners has sold their console this late in the generation. Zelda:TP will be playable on revolution also.

Here is my very own trailer as well

Zelda trailer

I hope the above link still works.

There was at one point when you could download the ENTIRE E3 demo video, something like 740 megs. I actually have it, its pretty cool, but spoils alot of the game.

Yeah, I bet SSBM, MKDD, and TP will be the biggest sellers for the GC heading into Revolution, and probably be consistently decent sellers in 2007 too, depending if Nintendo has a big enough audience to carry a small GC PC lineup. Hell, Perfect Dark sold 30,000 copies in November 2002. Anything's possible.

Okay, I should have said "almost every owner who still cares about their Cube". That better? :D

And that brings down the number from 20 mil to 1.5 mil. XD
