Same here. I look and search on these platforms sometimes, but it's something that should be avoided as much as possible.
You know what really worries me? The direction all this is going. We now have a entire generation of young people, who never got the love and attention they deserved, while spending most of their time on social media. It's absolutely frightening. Human qualities like empathy, introspection, kindness, social cues, trust, skills in communication are already in unprecedented decline since social media became widespread. Everybody is on the edge, and few are able recognize a joke these days. It's turning mankind into a quasi-autistic state of isolation, unhappiness, and coldness.
People don't even want to establish real friendships anymore because you're non-existent on these platforms.
Millennials are the loneliest generation. My former best friend (RIP) wanted to meet up with a woman, but that woman didn't want to because he didn't make use of social media, and claimed that he probably had "other intentions". My mom lost a friendship because she doesn't use social media...etc.
In the end, we all would be better off without social media.
