The Order: 1886 leaks - new gifs, screenshots!

So why dont you think is Sony's Ryse?
It clearly is, what is being hyped up other than
Teh visuals omg looks like CG cinematics, ooh film resolution bars or whatever it was.

This is RAD delivering the first ever blow your mind with visuals game, this is one of those
Real games showing what PS4 can handle.
No more cross gen crap, THIS is what this console can deliver exclusively.

I love how people automatically assume it is a cover-based shooter based on two seconds of gif. You can literally do the same with TLOU if you had 2 seconds of Joel shooting behind cover. Jesus, why are the assumptions being so obnoxious like they're being set in stone?

I am holding judgment till I see more gameplay but if all gameplay really looks as good as that gif then hot damn that will be one impressive looking game. This is one of the games that makes me very glad I went with PS4 for my first console this gen over the XBO. The more I see the more I like but I think tomorrows gameplay trailer will be the deciding factor if I go into full blown hype mode or think meh it is only just nice graphics.

If Capcom can bring back Mikami for an RE that looks like this, with Deep Down's monsters, holy shit it would scare my pants off.

I am totally blown away with what i am hearing about this game.

2014 looks to be the best year for me in term of games. Resident Evil 4 was my all time favorite from previous generation and the only game that managed to come close to its level was The Last of Us. I am hearing about how The Order: 1886 is going to be and honestly, it all sounds pretty amazing to me. The amazing graphics are just icing on the cake. This year, we will hopefully get The Order: 1886 and Evil Within, both of whom are my most anticipated games and ironically both use 2:40:1 aspect ratio for cinematic quality.

P.S I also like Gears of War but as a co-op shooter. I played all three games with my bro in co-op and liked it. But the same old formula for GEOW got old pretty fast by the third game and Judgement just killed any love for the series, that i had. 2 still remains my fav in the series.

Dammmmmmmn. Dat the art direction, man, is just delicious. Wish they'd show some city parts but looks like it's going to be a combat heavy trailer. (Unless the gifs are taken from the broll gameplay footage and not the trailer?)

But.. those bricks in the fourth screenshot are a little bit.. too flat.

This can't come soon enough. Bring it to me!

This is PS4s Ryse...

What a DISGUSTING insult!

Ok, so, ok. So, ok. So, you're saying you like it, right? You like Sony's Ryse, yes?

Because unlike Crytek, RAD is known for actually making good games.

Yes, I am just saying this is the game that will showcase a taste of PS4s power in 2014, MS busted that out with Ryse enlisting the graphics maniacs at Crytek.

Funny thing is RAD would of done a better Ryse gameplay.

Game being set in this version of London is SO refreshing. I havent been hyped for a game in London since...Nightmare Creatures :D

Sony did that with Killzone:SF. Which looked better than Ryse

nah I take BF4 Campaign visuals ahead of KZSF Campaign, I was more impressed with KZ3 snow level visuals, I play that demo all the time still. KZSF felt rushed, Gorilla deserve 3 years to make games right.

Well they managed to make half a good game in Far Cry and half a good game in Crysis

I guess that adds up to one full good game
What? Crysis at its time was one of the best game on PC and certainly is one of the best shooters this gen. If only they wouldn't have rushed for console crowd...

Wait let me get this right,

we have two gifs and five screenshots and people are already commenting on how the gameplay is lacking and this is Sony's Ryse?

thisisneogaf.gif indeed.

On the flipside, we have a ton of people proclaiming it absolutely amazing.

Both sides are being silly right now.

im not going to say anything negative about the game since all we have is a few screenshots and gifs to go by so its not fair to judge yet....

but let me premptively say that i REALLY hope this game doesnt suffer from the same ridiculous level design issues that have plagued the uncharted series and in some ways TLOU for me, as well as the entire gears of war series

im talking about the all too convenient placement of waist level cover that would never exist or make sense in any real world environment but exists exclusively to make the pop up and shoot gameplay work well

and maybe there is no solution to that, and i simply need to "remember its a game and just go with it" but in that case i think its clear that this style of game is just not for me. i cant do it. Beat Gears 1 but never was able to finish 2 or 3, only managed to finish 1 of the uncharted games, didnt make it all the way through TLOU

but im willing to give this game a chance thanks to the setting, and because its been compared in some circles to left 4 dead in terms of fighting off hordes of enemies? so im being cautiously optimistic

i will say anyone who doesnt find the game beautiful to look at is all kinds of crazy.. i love the cinematic look
