The Order: 1886 leaks - new gifs, screenshots!

They seem to have nailed the cinematic feel. But like I said in the other thread, hopefully there's more to it than a cover shooter.

Will other outlets be showing different footage? Or will they all be showing the same stuff?
Oh and that was mind blowingly gorgeous.

Interviews/previews will probably have the same b-roll footage, but the trailer we are getting later today is new footage I think, because they are keeping that very tight.

Looks ballin' /Chad

Its a good case of having great graphics AND a good art style. Just like Last of Us, though this is way beyond any of that

This game looks nuts! Absolutely staggering.

However, not to knit pick, but this shot:

Just makes me hope that they'll implement a screen-space reflection solution similar to what GG did in KZ:SF.

(Even if edges like that are barely visible while in motion)

Looks absolutely fantastic, in art direction, setting, atmosphere and tech. I love cover based 3rd person shooters so very excited about this one. I'll watch the trailer and footage today and then it's media blackout time until release.

That's true, but then you get something like GTA V's horrible deathmatch "Maps" (which are just parts of the overworld that have been sectioned off). Sure the deathmatch also sucks because GTA V is close to the furthest you can get from stellar gunplay (which is a little mind boggling considering that RS Vancouver put out Max Payne 3 just a year before, but I guess they weren't keen on sharing tips) and just the fact that it's completely lacking design.

I do believe, however, that there are more creative ways to go about making cover.

Ok sure but its not like there werent 3rd person shooters before gears of war. Thats my issue. Its like ever since Epic ripped off Kill.Switch and GOW became super popular everyone realized that instead of having to have a clever or well designed cover system, or heaven forbid just make a good action game where cover isnt the main focus, we shall just throw hip high walls and debris all over in convenient places to make this work

and you know, maybe im expecting the wrong thing from this game. The original leak specifically said L4D in victorian setting (atleast it did in game informer magazine)

And if this is going to be similar to uncharted/gears then thats ok too, i just need to know so i can move on and find something else to hype up, because thats just not my style of game. I guess thats the real issue is i dont know yet exactly what the core gameplay loop is gonna be like.

Either way, i can totally respect what RAD is going for, wether its for me or not. I feel confident that by fall of this year anyways the PS4 library will be good enough where i wont be desperate for any new IP that doesnt interest me

Not impressed by the environmental details, the brick walls for example look flat(literally). The gameplay on the other hand is just a GEOW clone, very disappointed but i will give it the benefit of doubt.

I'm pretty underwhelmed based on the reactions here. The textures look low res and nothing too fancy seems to be going on there that would make me go wow. Need a native video asap.

I love how excited we get for Sony First party games. They truly make amazing games with incredible presentation.

Agreed. Now it would be nice if they made more with co-op or multiplayer so we can enjoy them with our friends.

Second Son and 1886 are must plays for me but if they're single player only games then the experience will be the same whether I play them at release or years from now. I wish we'd see some AAA exclusives with addictive multiplayer and really boost the PSN community which seems to be one of the complaints you see the most about PSN.

KZSF was a great looking game. Probably the best we've seen so far of next-gen. But this is the first game that has made me think that we've seen a legitimate generation jump. I am just disappointed that they chose to introduce the world to the gameplay of The Order in such a boring way (about ten seconds of gameplay through small corridors).

It's going to be linear, and yes it's going to have third person cover shooting, but apparently destruction plays a huge role in the gameplay. I hope they are planning on discussing that tomorrow.

There's nothing in here showing the supposed destructible environments, is there? I must have missed it, or it wasn't obvious enough for me to notice.

That could potentially help a game like this out a lot, at least for my tastes.
