I'm going to feel so bad for those people if a Vita version of Type-0 is announced on Monday. :-\

There's missable Al Bhed books? Good to know...

There are a few, a bunch in one place and one in one other place. I think it's actually the only missable trophy in the game, which is a huge pain if you do miss it and only have one save file, as that isn't exactly a part near the beginning. The two locations for the missing primers are
Al Bhed Home
and
Bevelle Temple
, isn't really much of a spoiler to know that you actually visit those two places at some point but better safe than sorry. Good idea when you reach those two places to pull up a guide and make sure you get em, nothing more frustrating than missing one trophy at the end.

Thanks :) I changed that part of the post, and yeah I think I won't use it again on boards.

Though I don't know if I got what the n word is, the one that is... written similarly to Niger?

That's the one!

I think I'll pick up the fan translation AND the Square version. We'll be able to play the fan translation either today or tomorrow; we'll have to wait for an official release.

I'm pretty sure if there were to actually be an announcement (lol) it would be at gamescom. #jrpgvita #basedshahid

Actually, the fact that it might be a PSP game gives me hope it might show up at E3. Only SCEA would consider a PSP game (even though it is a huge game) a major announcement for Vita.

Type-0 on Vita would be a bigger announcement than everything Sony announced for the platform at last year's E3.

So the PSP section has been removed entirely from EU PSN? Or just Germany (PS3 storefront)? Wtf. Games are still up via search at least.

Thanks for the information. An RPG of it's length would be a pain to miss a trophy if going for the platinum. I don't remember how long it takes to beat it wouldn't going for the completion route, but I would like to platinum the game whenever I get it. It's a good way to experience all the things I missed before.

I'm not sure about FFX-2 yet though. I was never a fan of that game.

Likelihood of Demon Gaze going on sale in EU next week?
Is it currently on sale in the US? Apparently not.

I'm still fighting this fucking flu or whatever. Not tired enough to sleep, only shit on the tube, can't have people over, completely incapable of playing anything involving action. I need something with zero demands of my reflexes. I need Turn. Based. Awesome.

39.99€ sounds good?

Yeah, sure. Didn't Type 0 even lose that #jrpgvita thing?

The impression people got from #jrpgvita was to suggest localizations for JRPGs already on Vita. Final Fantasy Type-0 is not on Vita. Tales of Hearts R is a Vita game.

As for that opinion about GoW 1+2 being a bigger thing than a major Final Fantasy title, nah. I suspect that Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster sold better in EU/NA on Vita than GoW did/will, and that's with SE's western branches almost sabotaging the Vita version.

If you wanted to talk me out of buying Demon Gaze, you've just failed.

You've made a decision you won't regret. It is literally the perfect game for the scenario you described, too sick to deal with twitch based stuff but want some nice turn based. Game is super easy to pick up too, no drawn out tutorials thrown at you at once, no super long story sequences blocking you from the action. Number one recommendation, pick a paladin as your first extra character, incredibly useful early on.

I guess we could go on forever with guesses and suspicions and different opinions but that would be fruitless. At the end of the day Square Enix doesn't seem to think that highly of the game in terms of market reach.

Yeah, I read the OT, and I still remember how useful those types of chars can be from Etrian Odyssey. Certainly will do, thanks.

:lol That's the primer from
Home
. Did you have an earlier save file or did you have to replay the game to get that? That's one of the few missables.

Replay the game. I speedrun so I reached home with 10 hours. Totally forgot to check guide before playing, lol.

Played Borderlands 2 for literally 6 hours today and had my first crash. Reloaded the thing and no more problems.

I shut my eyes and saw a reticule behind my eyelids... That's when you know you've played too much!

My PS4 doesn't even get hot. Are they putting it through hours and hours of use at a time or something?

I don't know, he didn't tell me the exact specifics of their problems, just what happened.

But even with that I'm gonna buy mine this week I think.

Edit: VitaGaf, help me with this: Demon Gaze or Danganronpa? I plan on getting both but right now I only have money for one. I love VN but also like games like Etrian Odyssey. Any suggestions? I heard that Demon Gaze is about 50h long and Danganronpa is about 20-30h, is that correct?

Crash Warped is one of my favorite games of all time. Takes the formula of 1 and 2 and perfects it so much that it is hard for me to go back to 1/2 afterwards. One of the only games I've ever played where I beat the final boss and still went back and got 100% (well, 102% in warped) even though there were no trophies or extra reasons to do so. I have a save file right now with every platinum relic that took me over 3 years to complete off and on. Fantastic game.

That said, I am glad they don't make more Crash games, and I don't think the game even needs an HD remake. The PS1 classic looks perfectly good on my vita and HDTV as is, and the nature of the game means it doesn't really need any modern conveniences added.
I agree, I'm playing them on PSP(I'm from europe so I could play it on Vita, but since I have a tiny 8gb I want to use it just for Vita games) and it's incredible how they're still good looking

I never really took notice of it until recently, but it feels like within the growing fragmentation of fanbases to most people Tales fan seem to exist within their own insular bubble. Surely though there must be some overlap with other JRPG fanbases, it's just that I never seem to hear much Tales talk except by those dismissing it.

This is also just a roundabout way of me asking what are the characteristics of a Tales game (like chocobos, crystals, summons, Uematsu etc is to Final Fantasy) and should I get into them at all?

I had never really played a tales game until Xillia was on sale for $10, and I grabbed it because why not. Ended up really liking it, one of my favorite PS3 games. I can't really compare it to the FF series, because the "thing" with Tales games is the active action combat. You can chain skills and combos in fancy ways, and the combat clicked with me in Xillia, and I've heard it isn't even the best in the series. Some say the story/characters are weak, but I thought they were fine
except Alvin, stop god damn betraying everyone every two seconds
and I enjoyed the story throughout. All in all, solid series to check out if you want active combat as opposed to turn based, but different from something like Ys in that battles are self contained as opposed to field battles.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?

Any PS Store that isn't the US version is absolute shit.

Ok, just got Danganronpa and Demon's Gaze, managed to squeeze a few bucks from future plans like going to movies and dining out. Almost got Borderlands 2 instead of Demon's Gaze, but I think I would not be able to manage the low fps.

Hmm, I need some input. I'm thinking of selling my PlayStation Vita.

I have had it since launch but I'm not really playing anything on it other than Persona 4: Golden. And I'm thinking maybe I can just play the original Persona 4 on my PS2, now that P4:G is the only game I play on the Vita anyway.

And the indies I always get on my PC to play on either the monitor or tv, and I never bring out my Vita. It's only used at home.

So I'm thinking of getting rid of it, especially as it seems there's no exclusive AAA games coming for it.

I don't know what kind of input you're looking for since you seem to have already made up your mind.
