Funny how it wasn't in any other world cup.

CONCACAF teams are growing strong in the last few years, it's no coincidence they are doing this good in this WC.

the local leagues are getting stronger, and there are more and more concacaf players playing in european leagues each year.

Hadnt noticed the blatant penalty hug on the bottom right

@FRANCESCalciO Chiellini: "Suarez is allowed to do whatever he wants and FIFA allows it because they want the superstars to play."

It's just a bummer really. Im glad that Suarez is in our side, and he's world class, but ffs.

I don't much care for what people focus after matches cause drama is the first thing that goes wide, but it is a shame to have such idiotic behaviour taint stuff like this.

again; in terms of what it does to affect the match, it's the same as the penalty that wasnt called, or any other play like that. Furthermore tho it's just embarrasing on a big picture level. No need, we have this clean. Suarez gonna suarez.

Well the negative aspect of that, as an Italian, is that it hinders self critique.
It lets people dwell on the "if only" too much.

Rooting for Colombia to destroy this scummy Uruguayan team. Hope they get reamed 5-0 with Suarez on the pitch. Then soon after he's told he can't play club or international football for 2 years.

Why does Europe have 13 slots in the World Cup again? A lot of joke teams there. SA has 4 and a half, and they have 6 teams this WC, al 6 qualifying at the moment, Ecuador is the only team not sure to pass.

Europe should have 9 or 10 slots tops.

Nope.

European teams haven't performed well (at least several of them). But the 13 slots are deserved.

I always hope other parts of the world become better at football. In South Korea we saw both Korea (even though their knockout results were a hack, they did play well) and Japan doing really well, and a lot of fans predicted a good future for them but they've been stalled since. Korea is basically back down the shitter.

Is it possible to completely ban somebody out of football forever? I mean, if you keep on biting people, keep getting punished but never learn? Than you are just a disgrace and a danger to the other players that shouldn't be on a football field ever again.

Goddamn, I still pissed off at Suárez for this shit. He's such a talented player - when he's on fire he tears defenses apart, he scores brilliant goals, he works his socks off for his team and doesn't give up. By all accounts, he's a good friend and a good father.

Then he does stupid shit like biting another player. He really doesn't do himself any favors. Something's wrong with his head, and it fuels him and condemns him at the same time. It's a flawed genius, a pantomime villain to the rest of the world.

What penalty? The one where Cavani was offside but the ref let the play flow cause Buffon had the ball?

I'm happy underdogs are doing well. Just commenting on the bandwagoning confederation crap that I had never seen in my life before.

James I forget who you root for but I wanna guess it may be Germany? Because you have a lot of that Italian-spite salt in you only a German would have.

This is the best news ever for German fans. Even though I feel this year Germany would have trounced Italy if they did meet. I like Germany. They deserve better than the results they've had in recent years. Always so close and just missing that last extra step. I wouldn't mind them taking it. I honestly don't care who wins I don't hate many or any teams really. Except maybe Uruguay (sorry salsa) but not the team, only one player.

Italy wasn't going to get too far in this tournament, i'm just angry that Fifa does nothing to a guy that forces players to get tetanus shots for the fourth time. Nobody can control this animal.
