Yes PS3 was censored also. Multiplayer only.
It's a blanket censorship in the entire PAL region (Including Australia) due to the gore not passing USK in Germany. So instead of releasing 3 versions (NTSC/PAL censored/PAL uncensored) they just censored the entire region.
Bit shit on everyone. I'm now really looking forward to playing the game how the developers intended it to be played.
I tried to play Destiny on Vita. With all the love to my little black buddy, but using its sticks for fast paced FPS is just impossible. Playing games like Ni No Kuni or Tearaway would be ok, but FPS - no way.

Easier to submit one pre-censored version for all of eu rather than be rejected by germanys review board, or create a version for germany and a version for the rest of europe. Germany sony and nd are all at fault. This is why so many of us eu people are getting the us version digitally for the multiplayer gore.
I plan to attatch my vita to my ds4 with elastic bands (almost like an nvidia sheild) and do remote play with fhe ds4.
They don't share it even tho they are the same.

If you have the game bluray you can do this after it does the short setup and install. I was able to do this playing Knack and some other games. Digital tho, you have to have the whole game DL.

No. I remember it as a feature in the inFamous Second Son download. You had to download an initial part of the game (4GB or something I believe), and then it allowed you to play while it continued to download. Some other games may have used it, but I only really looked out for it with ISS.
Makes me wonder how(if) they could get all 3 Uncharteds on disc?

Not true, I could start playing Dynasty Warriors 8 on my PS4 even after only a few gigs downloaded. It was only the first couple levels but still.
So maybe its on a case by case basis then. Most games i have purchased i can't play until its done downloading it, and i have purchased most of my library Digital .
Killzone too, watchdogs too. Most games in fact.
It's called playgo and TLOU on PS3 was the first game to support this functionnality.

Thanks for the update! I was really hoping they'd push the boundaries and reach 240p but I guess I will have to live with it.

EDIT: By the looks of it, the lighting has actually gotten worse. Check it out, they actually had to turn that light off on the ps4 version just to maintain the framerate.
