And it ends up the guy was being sarcastic

.
You don't really go into why you think it's unbalanced. And I don't really agree with you and I'm terrible at the Crucible.
I played the alpha and feel it is a step back in weapon balancing than before.
1. Pulse rifles feel useless, the area effect seems reduced and hit reaction seems glitched. I used a pulse rifle exclusively in the alpha and had no issues, and now I couldn't get 1 kill with one in the first few minutes. Almost everyone who's mobile is using an auto/shotgun combo. Unless you're sniping far away, that is the only good combination. Scout rifles aren't bad, but they also seem to have been nerfed like pulse rifles.
2. If you're not using vehicles on the First Light map, you're pretty much screwed, that map can be easily dominated by a couple people good enough with the vehicles to keep control of all 3 points, vehicles can easily be pushed into inside control point locations, making it near impossible to overtake an in progress point takeover.
3. Super charge powers are simply overpowered, when a Titan can come in and clear a control point that is being taken over with one super charge, that seems so ridiculously overpowered. Compare that to the Hunter's super charged gun where you can get a couple shots off, even the supers are unbalanced between classes.
4. Spawn points can be awful, getting spawned onto a point that is being contested and then being shot up within seconds.
Its a step back from the alpha and definitely wayyy back from the Halo series.
Unimpressed.
Edit: One of my biggest issues is that the gear and weapons you use and like in the shared world that you are upgrading and enjoying, are then rendered useless in PvP. I used Pulse Rifles and Scout Rifles a lot and upgraded them because of their use, but then going into PvP they no longer feel like the reliable weapons you attached yourself to and the time.
