Am I the only one dissapointed with the weapon variety? Do you guys know if the full game has a better variety of auto-rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles and maybe even SMGs. The weapon variety has been the most dissapointing aspect so far and I feel a game like this can really benefit from it.

I'm guessing the variety will become more pronounced as we start getting items from higher rarities with more interesting upgrades. Some of the stuff on the Exotic weapons is pretty wild.

In the Alpha I played Titan to 8.

When the Beta started I played Warlock to 6 before losing interest.

Now I've played Hunter to 8.

Warlock is out of the running so I have to decide between Titan and Hunter for the real deal. I'll have to look at their skill trees to see where each are heading. I saw in here earlier that Hunter gets invisibility. Cool.

Leaning toward Hunter, but I like Titan armor better. The Titan special is also easier to use. Hunter wastes time waving the gun in the air and then I usually only get one or two shots off before time runs out.

But dat knife.

Dat knife indeed.

Only until you unlock the 6th? ability on the second line. A few others will have been partially unlocked, but come to a standstill, sadly =/

i guess so, I didn't get that far but each ability was progressing at the same rate so I just assumed it was a steady exp climb instead of how much you used the grenade/special/melee

Wrong, wrong, and wrong.

Hunter's Theme Song.

You guys are all wrong. THIS is the hunter's theme (especially on venus).
I also approve of this.

What are everyone's thoughts on the radar always showing player locations?

It certainly has changed how I play, and maneuvers that work in some other games where there isn't an enemy UAV or something similar active don't work so well in this game.

Hey guys,

like most people, I'm having a blast. New to multiplayer and shooters (only played Borderlands), I have a few questions:

1. How do you bow? I've seen a few people doing this but all I can do is wave, point, sit down or boogie. How do yo do it and are there other gestures?

2. I'm crap at PVP. My reactions are slow and sometimes I can't even tell where the enemy is before I'm dead. I can't tell how many times I've died and I feel I've contributed little to the team. My highest kill score was 12 as a Titan, lowest so far is 1 as a Hunter. Any advice?

3. I'm using the Galahad-B in PVP but it seems to do little damage. I've messed with some other weapons but I can't seem to kill people quickly, whereas I've found I'm dying in a couple of shots or less. Is it the weapon or is it me?

4. When I'm exploring I see other players fighting and I come over to help them out. At first I thought I was helping but now I think I might be doing the opposite by taking their xp kills. Am I a douche?

5. I've tried the strike several times with randoms and we all end up dying to the horde while the ghost is uploading. I'll keep trying but I'm fairly ineffectual against yellow enemies and the other guys just end up quitting after 4 - 5 tries. Again, any advice?

Thanks for any help. I think I like Titan class the best, it suits my style of stomping things and taking the hits. Hunter's cool but it's Super requires skill which I lack. I was going to try Warlock next but that'll have to wait after the maintenance.

At first I hated the knife. I would activate that shit on accident and it would get me killed in close quarters. After more hours of playing this beauty I can't imagine being without it...

Getting a few shots off on a jumping enemy and then throwing the knife whilst they're still mid-air is the best shit, mane. Or when they try to quickly flee after taking damage and they get a knife to the back of the dome. <3

1: Depends on the class. Bowing is a Warlock thing, Saluting is a Titan thing, and I don't play a Hunter so idk what their wave is.

2: Pay attention to your motion tracker. Be sure to crouch, it won't eliminate your 'signature' on enemy MTs, but it helps. Also, practice, practice, practice. Try a Level 8 Strike for some good practice.

3: Experiment with different rifles. Personally I prefer Scout Rifles to Pulse/Auto Rifles. Oh, and are you playing Iron Banner or regular Crucible? Iron Banner mode allows for level advantages so you might not be geared up to take on the Iron Banner just yet.

4: You're not a douche.

5: If you're wiping out on the mesh relay wave portion of the Strike you may want to consider leveling your dude through Explore mode or Story missions. Your skills will continue to rank up past level 8 too.

Anyone here going to be playing on 360 when the beta returns? Add me if so: GT: Homeboyd903

Going to be running level 8 strikes etc... Want that legendary gear! Oh and some crucible.

(Will have an xbone for launch so back off)

Love it. Changed everything for me. I was a very poor player at first, but after noticing that radar gives peoples locations away I became serviceable thereafter.

Yeah, I'm shocked at how much I'm thirsting for another run in the crucible. I've always liked this game from the jump, but I didn't anticipate I would be addicted like this.

And it's only a faint portion of the overall package. God help me when this thing finally drops... *waves goodbye to social life*

I'm positive emotes are tied to race or gender, not class. The bow, wave and salute are variations of the greeting emote (up on the d-pad). My Awoken Huntress bows, while my human one from the Alpha waved. Exos salute, Humans wave and the Awoken bow.

So then it's not that Titans have the best dance moves....
It's that humans do

Yea none of the emotes are tied to class IME, but race and gender instead. The female Exo does a series of robotic movements with her arms and torso, while the male Exo uses shoulder pops, slides, and will lean forward.

Some of them look better on other classes though. I think the Awoken female dance is is more pronounced on the Hunter than the Warlock.

If somebody hasn't already, I'll make a video of the different dances on Wednesday.
