For those Halo veterans who played the beta, which Halo game the MP feels more close to?

It really doesn't feel like Halo at all. Really not sure why people are saying that. Sure hip fire is a little more reliable compared to other ADS shooters but that's where the similarities end, IMO.

It would be nice not to have people running around and dancing in front of me when I'm trying to get into the mood of the story.

It's fine if you don't like it, but you'll either have to accept it for what it is or move along because it isn't going to change. The random world events can still happen in story missions outside of the phased area, allowing you to participate if you choose to do so. It's very likely that things like that example are the reason it's designed that way. It's so you do not miss out on those kinds of opportunities. Doing it your way would pretty much break that.

Mobs can still kill you in PvE even when you're playing solo and go to the menu.

XB1 version looks, and runs, great. Huge difference from the PS3 version, even at 900p.

Must say that if you're interested in this game, you really should play it on next gen if possible.

PS4 obviously holds the advantage because of Sony marketing, but if all of your friends are on X1 already, you might as well buy get the X1 version since multiplayer is such a big aspect of the game (provided it satisfies all your gaming needs)

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that using USB 3.0 and an external drive with Xbox One is a faster transfer rate than the SATA III the Xbox One and PS4 are using for their internal drives.

So sticking with the external drive you mentioned would probably be better than replacing the internal drive (assuming Microsoft allowed it I mean).

Evident by now Ps4 will hold the edge in all things since it's a more powerful console. So if you have people to play with on Ps4 and like the dualshock4, get the Ps4 version. You'll get all the exclusive content as well. For me, most of my friends and people I know will be playing on Xbox One, solely because of the Master Chief Collection coming in November and because of the controller, so I'll play the beta on 360 now, maybe buy an Xbox One in September.

I don't know what you mean. How would it break anything? In the Story missions, each player could play separate from the shared Explore world. It would be nice not to see anyone at any point during the story missions.

its because its a mission. Its not free roam/explore so it needs an "end", like any level. They just give you 30 secs to collect your self and quickly check the area for loot box I guess.

Do the level 5 story, if your level 8, just do it on Hard for fun (maybe better loot?)
Once you start the array part of the story mission (last part), there will be 3 waves

First wave mini bosses are the 2 wizards
Second wave is 2 Huge Axe Wielding Knights
Last wave is the Boss, a Hive Major/Ultra (He has a yellow health bar)
Save a few of the Acolyte grunts, kill boss, run outside towards the array and commit suicide
You will die, respawn at the cutscene of the Hive ship dropping down, now repeat until you have gotten 10 kills
I needed 7, so it took me 45 minutes roughly to get them

Fallen:

I think just doing the Devil's Lair strike nets you 3 kills for the 10 required
First section is the Captain that comes at 3rd wave while the ghost is unlocking the barrier
Second section is that Devil Walker that blocks your path
Third is Sepkis Prime

So do 3 full Devil's Lair then 1 till 1st boss and you should be golden

I have 3/10 for Fallen so yeah, need 7 more, finished the Hive bounty

The PS4 is limited by SATA II, and not the RPMs.

No you're not, beta cap is 8.

There are areas with level 20 enemies which will show up as ??? because nothing you have can damage them. There are at least 5 such areas.

Warlock's glide is in a class of its own.
In regards to vertical mobility, Warlock > Hunter > Titans.

You can get 3 if you get into a defend the warsat public event as well.

They respawn, fastest I've noticed is 6 minutes in the mothyards.
