for Uncommon, I expect only about 5-10 variations max, but I am expecting much more with Rare and up.

I ragularly get 150-167 headshots with my Cydonia-AR3, and it murders in PVP as well as PVE.

I've been using the AR3 since I got one the first night of the beta...now I'm just trying to find as many of them as I can to see which variation I like the best...I just bought "gets more accurate the longer it's fired" so we will see how I like that next time I play

Has anyone beaten the level ?? enemies? They oneshot me!

No one Level 8 is able to cause more than 3 damage, and that's with a rocket launcher.
The enemies with question marks above their head mean they are out of your ability, and to turn tail.
At level 5, if you run into a level 11 monster, he will have question marks over his level.
At any level, anything 4+ levels or more over you will display ??.

It's 4+ of your level.
You can still fight level 11 enemies at level 8.

I'm so sick today, can't work....

I am totally leaving early from work today. I need my fix man....

Any major changes since the update/ re-release?

wow I didn't know they sell CYDONIA-AR3 at the shop.

Is the one selling at the shop (lvl 8) different from the ones you get in loot?

I watched a walkthrough on youtube of the Beta and I loved how the game starts with a classic single player story mission and ease you in the online aspect. From what I've seen Destiny is Halo story missions with seamless optional online random encounters/missions (That fit perfectly the 30s Halo gameplay loop). This walkthrough made me curious :

- Can you have your personal speeder bike at any time? Can someone steal it?
- Do you carry only 2 weapons at any time? Does ennemies drop weapons you can use without losing your favorite weapon?
- How the deathmatch PvP or capture the flag modes are integrated/explained within the story?
- Is there going to have flying vehicules or tanks?

The sound and the handling of the weapons seem spot on, the world is colorful and intriging, it is the next evolution of Halo. It has GAF GOTY written all over it.

- Yes, but certain parts may be blocked off if there isn't enough space. No one can steal it.

- One main, one secondary and on heavy weapon at a time, but you can switch them out from whatever is in your inventory at any time (there's a limit of 9 or 10 I believe).

- Not sure about this one.

- There is a tank (sort of) called the Interceptor.

Cydonia AR for sale right now.

Thanks for the heads up, got the attack 57 one.

Anyway, am i the only one who's finding the lack of teamwork in PVE and PVP rather frustrating (on PS3). I had to finish devil's lair on my own because my teammates refused to play as a team and then quit when they died a couple of times.

Just noticed that the Xbox One version is the top-selling videogame at amazon. 360 is 4th and PS4 is 6th.

That'll be just this week though? I would imagine a lot of the PS4 orders are done now for the moment as the beta last week people needed codes then, so it's not unusual to see a spike in XB1 and 360 now the beta is out for them

Not different, but you know what you're getting. Uncommon weapons have a few different potential abilities. You could find one exactly the same out in the wild/from the Cryptarch, but the odds are probably low as you'd need to roll the same scopes and ability. There are better and worse abilities out there, though.

possibly. though the gun is the same, the attributes vary. for example mine makes the bottom half of my magazines cause more damage.

1 A) Yes

1 B) Don't think so since it disappears quickly once you get off.

2) Three weapons at a time. Primary/Special/Heavy

2 B) You can't pick up enemy weapons but they might drop some loot which you can change to w/o losing your main/ favorite weapon

3) Not really explained at all. Just your standard PvP mode

4) There's some vehicles in PvP. Not sure about PvE

I have 3 of em...and that's the one I'm looking for next...seems like it might be the best of the bunch...unless there is one I have not seen yet

^

PVE has the Pike the Fallen zoom around in

If you kill them riding it without killing the Pike, you can steal it and abuse the Infinite ammo, I killed like 200+ dudes using the free unlimited ammo from the Pike speeder

There's are always a group of 3 by the ship yard area

The game notifies you that some fallen are riding around on Pikes

I finally got some time to play the game and so far it has me interested. The gun-play feels great and it reminds me of a mix of Borderlands 1 (not 2), which isn't a bad thing because I love that series, Halo and Call of Duty. Less Halo though imo. The controls are great and I love how easy it is to slide into cover.

I think this is a perfect example of why voice chat is vital to this kind of game.
It also explains why the xbox360 is getting a lot of pre-orders.

The in-game voice chat mixer is horrid.
Bungie made a ambiant room muffler filter for Destiny.
Thats not what its called, but it is what it does. If you happen to not be looking in the persons direction on screen, or are in another room, your voice will be muffled or modulated some, and clear up as you get closer to the other party member.

Test it out, it is neat for the novelty, but quickly do you learn to just make a PS4 party chat when the novelty runs its course 5 seconds later.

would be awesome if bungie raised the level cap for the last part of the beta and all our xp passed 8 was automatically applied to our level.

how else am i supposed to use all this level 9-10 stuff they keep giving me?

Thanks for the answers guys. About the ennemy weapons, so you can't really improvise like in Halo and pick whatever weapon is available on the ground?
Also in 2 instances, I saw player allies disappear when entering a no respawn zone? Is that normal?

Nice. DGAF representing!

It's amazing how much better the MP is when playing with a good team. I played 4 games last night with the same group of guys and we won by 10,000 each and every time.

I'm not great at the MP at all but I'm improving slowly so my contribution is always a bit lacking. Saying that I always make sure I'm top or near enough in captures.

I think the trick is to play as a fireteam. Chances are you'll run into the opposition in ones and twos and if there's 3 or more of you together then the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

Though if you switch weapon mid-mission you lose all accumulated ammo of the weapon's type, except for the primary :(

I wake up, go to the Destiny beta thread to read what Xbox gamers are thinking of Destiny:

1) Download/install corruption at X%.
2) Xbox One controller vs PS4 controller.
3) Don't read the OP or Bungie's FAQ.
4) Rise of the consoles war.
5) No cookies and Hunters are getting bad-mouthed.

Ok GAF, i'll come back later, i'm just gonna play some Destiny.

Yeah, I'm done for the evening/morning. Game is good, but something still feels... off. Only just hit level 6, so I'll keep going, but it's not really clicking for me. Maybe the story for the beta version isn't all there yet. Hoping the Grimoire gets better fleshed out (not just having the redacted cards unredacted, the ones that have text aren't that hot either) and is ported to the actual game for the final version. Maybe more context and lore would help.
