This is something google wishes they accomplished with google wallet. Touch id is going to be wonderful for this.

I don't see how this changes anything, the vendors still have to install the same machines as what they use for Google Wallet, or whatever it's called. Though with Apple jumping into things, adaption will probably pick up a great deal.
