Screw chip and pin. Fingerprint authenticated NFC future. Chip and pin is so damned slow for transactions.

The slowest part of chip and pin is the varying auth speed of the network/connection - not entering 4 digits. That isn't going away with NFC.

The good thing with apple pay is that now there's more adoption for NFC acceptance from stores.

I know CVS and 7-11 has had it for a while now

Apple Pay is surprisingly cool, but with the current state of the iPhone's battery it's still not really a viable alternative to other means of payment.

I'd imagine people wouldn't simply replace their wallets with their phones. No one is that dumb. Just makes it easier MOST of the time to pay for things.
