you guys don't find it unfair to have one route of gear progression cut off from you because RNG didn't roll in your favor but does for someone else?
pcp is popular but i'm switching to bounties, patrols and strike to level up faction and crucible, then vanguard. work on those marks and rep. hit vanguard 3 (iirc) and you get exotic bounties. seems more straight forward (and fun).
Normal raid is just training for the Heroic raid.

Game only gives top scorer on our team a loot drop.
Right now i got 5 or 6 legendaries stored in my vault waiting for that inevitable patch that increase your roll chances. Double roll mechanic is dumb. Wait.. triple roll mechanic, chance for legendary to drop, chance for said legendary to be a legendary, and finally the chance for the legendary to be actually for your class.

Reading this makes me wonder on how people would react it they actually got all those items they want.... You'd probably be complaining that you get it that fast.
Can't believe it... The game is barely available for a week now and people complain that they don't get the best gear possible...

I wouldn't base the whole raid on first boss. I've been watching streams and loot, glimmer, rewards, all that has been dropping.

It's not just people complaining about not getting loot. It's the fact that when you do actually get a purple engram, more often than not it's still just a blue. That is shitty.
Well the point is when you get 5 of the same legendary engram in one day for a piece you need, it's a bit frustrating. I've put a lot of time in this game already and worked for the gear I have right now.

People are complaining because there seems to never drop entry level raid gear. They're complaining they can't even experience the raid content because of rng.
Level 24 Titan (if you see me lower it's because i switched out gear for Crucible) with 100 vanguard and 100 crucible marks. I used to raid WoW and want to raid this, but do I really?

Actually it would be easy enough to still allow match making and work communications into it. There is totally no reason for the lack of matchmaking. They could do many things to make it work for randoms.

i don't need the best gear in a week; just enough to get into the raid which happens to not be a full set of blues
it's not feelings but recognizing that gear progression and distribution in this game is whack.
Becuase I have done all of the content, multiple times over, and am trapped at level 24 until I get legendaries or exotics. They made getting legendary drops unfun, somehow, due to the multitude of options that net you nothing. I'm fine with some variance, like if it could be for other classes or materials but had no chance of degrading quality, but all of the outcomes together make it frustrating as hell.
Also doesn't help that the vendor who sells armor that gives me enough of a boost to make the raid, who I now have enough coins to buy from, is arbitrarily here two days of the week.
Bungie really needs to add matchmaking to daily, weekly, nightfall, and raids. By the time I come home, there is limited time to get people together and what not. And it really PISSES me off that I am missing on playing content because of time constraints to find people via 3rd party social tools.
They wanted a social game - ok good. Give us the tools to be social, dammit. At work I have all the time in the world to chit chat with everyone, in the evening I just want to play. I don't want to search for comrades.

Yeah, you start to earn rep for that faction so you can buy stuff from them.
Their stuff has different attributes, like intellect, strength, etc. than other vendors.
I've asked this before but the thread is moving so fast it's skipped.
Since I really don't enjoy the strikes, PVP or farming, if I do the story missions again with the difficulty set up to my current level 20-22 will I still get the same chance at good loot?
They also need to add vanguard marks and rep to the story missions on higher difficulties, as it is now there is no reason to do them.

Pretty much just to get their shit. They seem to have stuff of similar stats. Speaking fo which. Where is the third faction? I've only found New Monarchy and Future War Cult.

You can easily earn crucible reps/marks to buy legendary items. They game has only been out a week.
You may have had bad luck for getting the stuff the "easy" way, but this raid will be around for a very long time. You have time to upgrade your character buy earning the purple stuff.

Okay, so on Strikes, do you guys try to kill everything, or focus on the boss? I primarily focus on the boss since once he's done, the minions are done as well. If I'm getting low on ammo, I'll focus on the minions briefly before targeting the boss again.
Seems like whoever gets the most kills is the one that gets the best loot in Strikes, and that just seems odd. I guess there's no better way to do it though.

It's in the same area where Future War Cult is. You know the first set of the stairs you take to go up to see Future War Cult well Dead Orbit is opposite the stairs.

Personally, I never buy weapons in RPGS when better ones can be found. Also, earning crucible marks takes forever and there are caps. Don't want to play 40 some matches of crucible just to blow it all on one day.
You don't get it. It's about purple engrams making players feel like shit, rather than the low loot drop rate. Something that should feel like a special moment just feels like a bummer because you know you're most likely gonna get crappy blues from it. I'd rather they make purple engrams way more rare but make them a guaranteed legendary drop.
They're either full or have it set to invite only.
You have to click R3 over someone to get the option to inspect them for that menu.
Edit: I completely misread that, lol. It might not be set to open on their end.

Hours are pretty misleading as there is probably 15 hours there that is just standing in the tower with the game on. One night fell asleep and had the game at a vendor so it didnt auto kick., Prob 12 hours there lol
