How viable is a nightfall strike at level 27? I just did the 28 daily story mission, it wasn't bad, but getting booted to orbit scares me. Also, I would need to find someone else in this world who has a ps3...
You can definitely do it at 27. Grab a high impact arc sniper rifle to make your life easy.
Also, the Psions(small cabal guys) will one shot you with the blue wave move, so stay away from them.

Lets try this again, anyone down to run the raid tonight shoot me a message. PSN:Rsin. I have a save at the final part I think but would be down to run it all. Would just like to finally beat the raid lol. 28 Hunter.

Cross posting:

And a little something special for the unlucky praetorian who decides to fuck with me:

By opened up, I thought the person asking the question was asking why PvE players can't buy anything from the factions with Vanguard marks even though factions take vanguard rep.

I've wondered this since launch.

Rather then simply let us spend Vanguard marks on them, I'd rather they just had a unified mark pool. One mark to rule them.. both. 200 weekly cap. Earn them the way you want, and spend them where you want. The current system is needlessly segregated and makes people who just want to play one or the other feel the need to grind both to gear up faster then way too slow.

I really wish I could never touch Crucible again, but I still want some faction gear so I'm stuck participating in that rage feast.

If you ever read my posts you know I have been in a relationship with Gjallarhorn for a while.

I hope you don't feel too bad, but Gjallarhorn and I have decided to separate for a while.

He caught me in bed with MIDA Multi Tool. MIDA and I are going to give it a go and see if we can last until 300 damage.

Hope that's OK. Remember we will always love you, DGAF.

I finally got to do the raid from start to finish today. It's pretty short and easy, honestly. Bungie really oversold the difficulty. You just have to know a few details that can easily be explained over the mic for noobs. It feels more like having the right gear is necessary than strategizing beyond simply what must be done.

Playing with experienced players makes things easier. Shocking.

Also don't agree on the point of not needing a strategy.
If you don't, for example, block the Templar from teleporting, you'll probably won't kill it before the enrage timer. At the same time you still need to manage how many times you block it since he spawns minotaurs when you do.

It's easy if you know the strategies and are appropriately leveled. The first week or so of everyone scrambling to figure out what exactly those strategies were, the fact that virtually no one was over level 26, it was legitimately hard.

That and the heroic raid is just ridiculous.

Just ran into the Vex Mythoclast or whatever. What the EFF was Bungie thinking allowing that crap in the crucible? That might be the most broken weapon I have ever seen in any game ever.

Yeah one of my friends has it too. He already amazing at the PVP, so giving him that is just making it even worse. Most of the time when we play, the other players just quit before the match is over haha.

Whhaaatt how far are you? I've put like 20 hours into that game already...
I'm gonna still play it cause I'm still early into the game. But I'm not enjoying the combat all that much. The game lags a lot. While Mordor is an ugly place this game's scenery is just a bore. Missions are repetitive. I hate the fucking mobs just die already.
Plus side the acting and story is looking good so far.

Not what I said at all. I've beaten Atheon when I did my first thing in the raid and only part I did and only 2 of the people had done it previously. It's only hard because the game does not instruct you what to do. You don't need to be experienced. You just need to be told what to do or look it up. Having the right gear is what is key, not strategizing beyond what is necessary to survive/hurt bosses.

I need that Titan helm so tonight I'm gonna first buy the engram, see if gives me a titan helm (33.3%) and if it doesn't then i'm just gonna pay coins.

Just did this and by strange coincidence, got a helm of saint-14 from the engram. Saved 13 strange coins. Winning.

We beat that boss with us all sitting on a tower. We literally stayed in a single spot and it was just a shooting gallery until he was dead.

I mean, yea. If you're looking up a step by step guide on how to do something chances are its going to be easier than going in blind and actually communicating with your team and developing a strategy on the fly and actually learning the mechanics on your own.

I'm assuming you didn't try the Heroic raid.

You really think the encounter was meant to be dealt with like that?

Why is it so hard to find anyone on here who plays on PS3?? If you are one of those rare unicorns, please add me blue_phazon1337
I will add you, lone unicorn! It is kind of lonely on ps3 and I'm not really raid-ready but I wouldn't mind trying some of the weekly strikes. (PSN: lunkermesh)

I'm talking about the normal raid. Bungie acts as if communication and strategy is so vital. Communication is important, but it's incredibly easy once it is a known quantity. It should have matchmaking.

Yep. In fact one of my greatest gaming experiences comes from doing the raid right when it released. It was all new. No one knew anything. There where no strategies or even an idea of what to expect. Every step was a discovery. Even failure was a success, we learned what does and doesn't work. Each time we got a little farther or lived a little longer, it invigorated us to keep on going.

When we finally did kill Atheon, it wasn't "What did he drop" but "Holy shit we killed Atheon!" it was an amazing gaming moment.

Alright, 500 void points in the crucible down, one Xyor kill to go, anybody need xyor or want to help with the strike?

I noticed there might be a slight reduction in rewarded gear after every pvp game or it's just how it looked to me over the last few days, personally anything legendary and above should be kept away from crucible rewards, or at least just a few legendary engrams at the most.

I feel no attachment to any gear I have found in any game mode in Destiny, I don't feel special owning a thorn or wearing a cool helmet, in fact I get more enjoyment finding a legendary weapon which might have some cool random perks in it's upgrade tree then finding any exotic at all.

Totally agree with this.
