I really want faction gain to be spread across alts. Or at least allow me to purchase alt faction gear on my main.

Another lesson learned from WoW that I hope bungie takes into consideration. Nobody likes grinding faction on alts.

Of course I do? Well not your fault we never played together. But I am Light 28 on my Titan.
But this is equipment we earn in Crucible. surely they know no one uses pulse rifles in Crucible.

But you guys are correct. Maybe one day they will finally balance some guns for Crucible

None of that info can really be confirmed. After all there were items and shaders available for the Factions in Beta that weren't there for Launch. So it could be similar for Iron Banner as well.

And I'm still stunned there is a cover system in-game that's not taught to the player. Blows my mind in a way. Not that it matters as much for PvE, everything seems to have splash damage that matters.

WTF....I hadn't heard this and just googled to find out what you were talking about. I had no idea. I'll have to try it out tonight. It was over this past weekend where I was sprinting and meant to jump but accidentally hit B instead of A....and did a power slide instead. Didn't know that was there either.

This. I didn't realize until like 2 days ago that the Vanguard mentors for other classes just outright don't even list their legendary gear if you're not that class. My plan to use all of my marks on my main to gear alts ruined . Rare Sparrows for everyone it is!

It's so weird that we can get a Sparrow out of the first 5 gold chests on Earth, but aside from the strange coin on Mars, the rest of the gold chests suck.

Also this. I do okay in the PvP, but I don't really like it that much. It extra bums me out that now ARs and Shotguns that I use in PvE are getting nerfed because of PvP balance issues. Just separate the goddamn things Bungie.

Shotguns need nerfed so bad in PvP. The range is downright silly sometimes. Maybe due to lag, I dunno. I'm surprised anyone has the guts to round a corner at this point when their radar lights up.

...items of any quality can drop randomly from any enemy. Destiny has elite enemies in the form of “Majors” and “Ultras” and bosses, but they are no more likely than trash mobs to drop loot. You can get purple loot from a lowly Vex Goblin and nothing from downing “Xyor the Unwed,” a unique (and far more powerful) Fallen Wizard. This means that the “see an elite” cue in the feedback loop is essentially missing from Destiny. It’s just “kill stuff” and “maybe reward but probably not.”

Out of all the missteps of the handling of loot, I think this is the biggest one. It's basically loot system 101. Stronger enemies yield better loot.

Bungie so clueless sometimes. Notice how that armor improves the reload speed of Pul;se rifles.

Surely they can look at their stats and tell no one ever uses Pulse rifles in Crucible?

Personally, I do better with pulse rifles than anything else. Maybe it's because I don't have a decent auto rifle yet though (even though I do have a Shingen-E). But for me personally, auto rifles don't have enough stability, scout rifles don't do enough damage for their rate of fire, and hand cannons have too much recoil (again for my playstyle). That said, a decent auto rifle is still probably the best gun in PvP at the moment objectively.

Yeah, the gold chest disparity is weird. It really feels like the most care went into Earth in general, but maybe that's just me.

Also 100% agree that Shotguns need to be nerfed in Crucible...but as someone who only plays that mode sometimes for easy bounties it sucks that it nerfs them in PvE for me as well.

it's purely vex so yes, void damage is the best to take with you.

No, the only enemies that should give you problems are the Minotaurs, you can go all void and you should come out on top.

Why not add a "second" friends list that is your clan?

They haven't even discussed it as a possibility in the updates as far as I'm aware. At this point it isn't happening. Which is a shame. I wanted to my part but it is tedious work for no point so I left the clan open for anyone to join.

The suros regime is so buggy for me. I have the upgrade for the slower fighter rate with ADS. Sometimes it still fires slow but does the same damage, other times it will fire fast and do low damage, and rarely it will fire fast still but do the increased damage.

Maybe you're starting your trigger pull BEFORE you ADS?

I remember BF4 was designed (or bugged) like that. If you hold the trigger and THEN go to ADS, your accuracy used hipfire stats. Sucks when you quickly try to ADS and fire, sometimes the way you pressed the buttons caused it.

I think it is so ass backwards Bungie allows you to get legendaries for a class other than what your using...but then doesn't let your faction rank be universal. They obviously want you to try all 3 but fail to incentivize you. Instead people make 3 of the same class. I would like to have 3 classes and each level up a different faction that's available to the rest. So I can buy gear from xur for a different class but no where else?...hm ok

The color of the mail item doesn't indicate a gauranteed engram of that color. It says on the tooltip in can give rares.

I bitched about this in a prior OT as well. It's dumb. The counter-argument that was made to me, however, and which made sense was....

Think of how useless the planets would be then? Only in a few rare places are any mobs even level 20 and we crush those. They couldn't make it so only level equivalent creatures drop loot with their current setup, there'd be nowhere to go except for missions and strikes where we can adjust the level. Patrols / roaming would be ended.

No, I haven't done the weekly nightfall strike yet this week. I've done the weekly heroic strike already if that makes any difference. Also, during the game I got a pop up saying the game was having trouble communicating with Destiny's servers, but I didn't get disconnected from the game and I was able to finish like everything was normal, except for not getting a reward.
