Sometimes I get caught up sharding the green engrams after a match and forgot to leave matchmaking before the next one starts. I never bail through, just stick it out and make sure I hold triangle as soon as it ends

getting loaded up on info and some of this will probably be in a tips and tricks post but here are some quick PSAs:
- The Queen's Wrath event ends today. If you have an alt anywhere near 21, get there and see about getting carried through a few queen's kill missions. The Helm and chest, along with blue gauntlets and boots, upgraded will get you to 26.
- The guaranteed engrams from the Tiger strike playlist are useful in some unexpected ways. If you turn them in in bulk (no need to worry about your inventory as everything goes to the postmaster), you're likely to get a few strange coins and motes of light. In addition, you can put them in the bank to give to an alt to decrypt. It appears the lowest level Rare gear is 10. I decrypted a handful of engrams on my Warlock at 8, and when I turned 10 I had a full set of excellent blue gear waiting. I will be using this method to get some blue slots filled post-20 as well. You can also just give these to alts to dismantle for their upgrade parts.
- This one's old news, but remember when you create an alt, you can immediately switch to the second subclass if you want to level it from the very beginning. I spent 5 levels of XP on Voidwalker even though I want to level Sunsinger first because I forgot to swap.
- If you send me a Destiny fireteam invite blind, it's more likely than not I won't respond to it.
Joining a Fireteam in Destiny interrupts your current activity immediately and puts you into a loading screen. Without any idea of what you're looking for a team to do, I can't just join and then check and easily return if needed. I also have no way to know, even from looking at you on the roster, if you're at the beginning or end of a strike, want help with what you're doing or want to start something new after, etc. The best thing to do is always to send a PS message. Joining or inviting me to a PSN party is also good because we can just talk without it pulling me out of an activity, but sometimes I am AFK or on remote play and can't respond to these. I will always respond to messages as soon as I see them though!
Regarding the last thing in point 2, I thought you could just put upgrade parts in the vault? That way it doesn't matter which alt destroys stuff for upgrade parts. At least I put a lot of hadronic essence into the vault. And I have seen pictures of other upgrade parts in the vault for other people.

He just means any good blue level gauntlets or boots that are fully upgraded for max light level. The helm and chest are legendary.
I don't think Titans or Hunters can use hadronic essence is the point.
I'd rather get that then the nexus boss... I can't stand that strike

Last weekend Xur sold Red Death again. Does this mean he might go through all the weapons he has previously sold thus far again? Like Suros Regime and Gjallahorn?
I would l;ove it if he did. I missed out on those and I have plenty of Strange Coins now.

The void blue I use is a Dammerung. Haven't seen a fusion rifle that could beat it yet on charge rate and range combined. Shame it's only a 209 attack
. I keep it especially for PvPI did see a guy who found a 77 wizard in the wild however which bet my stats. It was beautiful.

I mean those two paired with blue lvl 20 boots and gauntlets from anywhere- or hell, even better, Exotic gauntlets from Xur- will put you into the late game. Don't go running Queen's missions in the hopes of blue items!

For anyone looking for Heavy MG recommendations, The Swarm from the Vanguard Quartermaster may be the best purchase I've made so far. It's a MG with Perfect Balance so you can max out the stability I think, but I've yet to unlock it all.

Each class uses different upgrade parts- I believe the ability to do this is useless unless you have multiple titans, multiple warlocks, etc.

Fortunately/unfortunately, my group originally formed on Thursday night will hopefully be doing just that tonight as well. Atheon gave us hell so far, but we got him to under 25% once. Tonight's the night!

Rahool blessed me with it pre-patch. Its Solar though. Seems to have slow charge and only 4 shots, but its rather strong. I like my buffs better though, Grenadier instead of Cascade (I am hunter so not much melee in PVP, lol).
If you cheese him yes. Sometimes it is drawn out with the shield. I just don't like it....

I feel like we had everything in place to finish it last night but it just didn't happen, for whatever reason. I said it earlier but the difficulty of the individual tasks is no longer overwelming-- it's just executing it without making our own mistakes that doom our efforts.

And yeah, I have like 400 sapphire wire on my hunter and about 7 hadronic essence at the moment Well, I cut my teeth on Pocket Infinity, so no fusion rifles feel like they have overlong charge times to me. But 77 Wizard has awesome range, impact, and accuracy- and the Crucible one is void, which I really needed (perfect for Psions and Minotaurs).

Its not just about finding easier strikes though.
Sometimes its because people have specific bounties for different strikes.

As an addition I would say The Divide in Old Russia is great for Spinmetal drops as well. You've got more rooms to check in and potentially farm in the Rocketyard, definitely, but I've found chests (which will nab you spinmetal as well) spawning more frequently in The Divide. Either way, it's a good fallback if you get bored in the Rocketyard.

It was a relief to get First Light.
I have a love / hate with TG and Firebase Delphi. Sometimes they're good, sometimes....

Ya, I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with their algorithm for map selection. There is no possible way the amount of times I get the same map 3-4 times in a row.

Oh lol, gotcha! Just need the chest piece then! I got a 2nd helm last night, which was kind of a bummer. I'm only lvl 23, so taking on the earth order was a bit hairy.

Then those people should be queuing up those strikes specifically and not leaving it to chance, and then bailing when they don't get what they want. If you're going for a bounty, all you need to do is bump it one level above Easy in order to get the Heroic modifier and then just burn through it. If it's a Queen's bounty it's even easier since there is no modifier requirement.

bungie's idea of future fashion is so incredibly tacky. titans look fine because they're used to designing random shapes and calling it armor. warlock robes are fine until you look at the hideous boots and cargo pants underneath. and then you have the hunters: velcro, nylon, military camoflauge, leopard print pants, wal-mart kneepads and lace-up boots that may as well be a medical cast topped off with a "pre golden age" gasmask. what a mess.
the best part is you can't even control how your guardian looks because you have to buy the same thing everyone else is wearing to level up.

Instead of leveling to 29 I went ahead and invested my ass mats in making a dedicated Defender build centered around the Helm of Saint. This took me back to 27, but was best decision ever. I feel like I got stronger despite losing a level. The ability to cast blindness on fools like Final Fantasy, faster melee making disintegrate/force barrier easier and more efficient, nearly double the amount of supers which means double the amount of time with weapons & armor buffs....having hit the shard wall, I still equip my old gear for raids and level 28 stuff, and boy do I feel limited. As someone who rolled Defender almost exclusively anyway, it's been a total game changer.

Quick question: for the trophy of beating the raid with same clan members, do we have to beat it from the beginning or will just doing the final boss count for the trophy?
