I just got an exotic Bounty for "Pocket Infinity". My problem now is i already found the Ghost on Venus a week ago playing the story... Am i still able to get the pocket infinity?

other bounties are bad juju and super good advice. If pocket infinity is out of the picture i would go for "super good advice", i guess.
 
Just had my first Legendary engram drop....

Bad Seed Down, Legendary Pulse Rifle.

Tying level to equipment may not inherently be a bad idea, but tying the HIGHEST levels to SPECIFIC gearsets (some of which are randomly awarded) is so inane.

Oh no way!

This will be my first victory (and it WILL be victory) over the Normal raid.

In general I'm really taking things relatively slowly with this considering the outrageous number of hours that I've played it. Rather enjoying myself too ;) Hard mode raid is a more distant goal to me for now, I expect to run the normal one enough to be able to lead newbies through it before my first successful Hard completion.

Oh lol, gotcha! Just need the chest piece then! I got a 2nd helm last night, which was kind of a bummer. I'm only lvl 23, so taking on the earth order was a bit hairy.

Yeah, you've got a decent chance of the helm/chest each time, and a smaller chance of the sniper or ship. I hope you can get yours :D

I have my exotic gauntlets leveled up in order for my Titan to hit 28, but once I spare enough shards so that my 2 alts can also hit 28, I'll then go back and level up that helm since I think it'll be a lot more helpful in solo play and when shit hits the fan.

Surrounded from all sides? Pop a bubble and everything that gets close for 30-45 seconds (w/ Bastion) is blinded. Plus the amount of Intellect it gives me puts my Intellect at 97%, so perfect.

  1. The Queen's Wrath event ends today. If you have an alt anywhere near 21, get there and see about getting carried through a few queen's kill missions. The Helm and chest, along with blue gauntlets and boots, upgraded will get you to 26.
  2. The guaranteed engrams from the Tiger strike playlist are useful in some unexpected ways. If you turn them in in bulk (no need to worry about your inventory as everything goes to the postmaster), you're likely to get a few strange coins and motes of light. In addition, you can put them in the bank to give to an alt to decrypt. It appears the lowest level Rare gear is 10.   3. This one's old news, but remember when you create an alt, you can immediately switch to the second subclass if you want to level it from the very beginning. I spent 5 levels of XP on Voidwalker even though I want to level Sunsinger first because I forgot to swap.
  4. If you send me a Destiny fireteam invite blind, it's more likely than not I won't respond to it. :( Joining a Fireteam in Destiny interrupts your current activity immediately and puts you into a loading screen. Without any idea of what you're looking for a team to do, I can't just join and then check and easily return if needed. I also have no way to know, even from looking at you on the roster, if you're at the beginning or end of a strike, want help with what you're doing or want to start something new after, etc. The best thing to do is always to send a PS message. Joining or inviting me to a PSN party is also good because we can just talk without it pulling me out of an activity, but sometimes I am AFK or on remote play and can't respond to these. I will always respond to messages as soon as I see them though!

My first Legendary -> Exotic Engram! Mask of the Third Man. Probably not the best mask for a Hunter but I'm happy to finally get something other than those constant Legendary items.

Would have liked a other helmet with the Radar perk though, I use that Radar so often, it would help me alot.

Since my luck in this game has been absolute ASS. I will be using these ASS Shards to rank up to 29 on regular Legendary gear.

Currently have 107 light so one more upgrade should do it. I'll worry about Raid gear when (if) I ever land it.
 
My friends and I are looking to start raiding this weekend on PS4. We have 2 hunters and 1 titan. We have no raid experience on Destiny.

Looking for 3 more people who are interested. We plan on playing Friday or Saturday night around 9pm PST.

Seriously though, hide under the platform that always has snipers on it when going up against the boss. It's on the right of the capsule that holds the priest.

Nice. I fully endorse this sort of decision, which represents 1 of the 3 approaches to endgame I am writing about in my final leveling guide. What exotic weapons do you roll with/want if you don't have them yet?

I've really come around on that strike, I kinda like it. Depends a lot on the burn... but in both directions. Solar would make it hell in general, but then again Pocket Infinity...

I imagine Shank Management 101 is going to be the course most required in getting this one done without cheese. I hear that cheese is available though, something to do with crouching under a platform?
 
I am wondering what I should pick for my next weapon bounty. I've had two thus far.

I was going to try for Pocket Infinity or Super Good Advice.

Which one would you guys recommend between those two?

Imo, go for for PI. SGA is a good gun, but it's not anything really special exotic wise. Hearing much better things for PI and thunderlord anyway
 
Next nightfall should be easy if void damage (which it should) Athens epilogue, predayths revenge, and the cure :)

Edit: you can cheese hime easily too

Congrats! I use that helmet in Crucible all the time. Getting a couple extra Arc Blade swipes is super helpful.

Pocket Infinity for sure. I don't think SGA is game changing enough to warrant the exotic spot in your load-out. Pocket Infinity pretty much dishes out more damage in the shortest amount of time than any other weapon in the game.

The only reason I was thinking SGA is because I don't have an exotic Heavy Weapon yet.

However, it might be better ti wait and see about Gjallahorn.

Another problem with Pocket Infinity is that the bounty fot it is a REAL pain in the ass.

SGA has a lot of recoil and is pretty hard to control. Honestly, my solar Zombie Apocalypse outperforms it, and that gun is a Legendary. The bounty for SGA is very easy to do, though. It only takes maybe half an hour, but one part does involve you buying an item from Xur for one Strange Coin.

Super Good Advice is a hilarious machine gun you might equip to laugh at its recoil or use during Solar burns on bosses with huge hitboxes
if you don't have Pocket Infinity for the same purpose
I haven't fully upgraded it, but it's just not that viable IMO.

Pocket Infinity is a game changer once you unlock its title upgrade. I feel a genuine sense of relief when I am doing anything without an Arc or Void burn so I can reequip it for general PvE, and when a Solar burn comes around there are warrants posted around the solar system for my arrest.
 
They really need to move the exotic bounties to the mission section of the inventory... Permanently loosing 2 regular bounty slots for my exotics sucks.

Yes, absolutely. You need to follow this method. Even if you can't recruit two people also looking to grind rep, the timeframe you've suggested is viable. The key is to abandon missions that will slow you down (far away scout/scans). ALWAYS go after assassinations.

Well, I cut my teeth on Pocket Infinity, so no fusion rifles feel like they have overlong charge times to me. But 77 Wizard has awesome range, impact, and accuracy- and the Crucible one is void, which I really needed (perfect for Psions and Minotaurs).

Yeah I would've prefered Void, although I'm stacked with Void weapons. I feel very comfortable with fusion rifles. But on the other hand, Solar 77 is a true Wizard killer, it annihilates them.

I think its slightly better than L/B although that one does charge faster and has more shots (its better for PvP I reckon). My LB is Arc and I think Arc Fusion rifles aren't being sold? It beasted through nightfall.

I don't really feel that Bungie has balanced this properly.

Why would I wanna do the tiger playlist for a measly 25 Rep a time and no chance of gear that I actually want.

I mean it's a rep grind purely to get rep to get gear I want with no chance of getting what I need in the process of doing so.

That's one thing that is handled in wow much better. I always feel like im gaining something by running a heroic for the 100th time for THAT piece of gear that I need. I've always got a chance of getting it.

Where as in Destiny it's not very rewarding at all when stuck between not being geared enough to run the raid and the tiger playlist has nothing I need bar rep for running it :I

I cleaned up with 77 Wizard to get the Void kills bounty step for thorn, so it's definitely viable for PvP. Light/Beware is definitely all over though, and a great choice, though i can't remember what element the vendor one is.
