Civil War before Avengers 3 (and 4) is interesting. Definitely gotta think they're going to tone it down into a more self-contained political thrillerish Captain movie like TWS than a full-out multi-character event, especially with RDJ's contract being as stretched as it is. Understandable, in that Infinity Wars is the real end game here and it wouldn't do them any good to delay or preempt it with a separate major event.

How many more movies does Evans have left? I know he's looking for the door out, and they'll most likely have (TWS spoilers)
Bucky take over the role, considering they signed the actor to nine movies. Maybe Evans dies in Civil War?

Everything sounds awesome though. For the first time ever really, it might literally be too much awesome. I don't know how many superhero movies I can take. This looks like every major studio's slate combined, and it's just Marvel. I do have faith in them for good stuff regardless, though. They've earned the hype at this point.

Carol can be a man's name too!

It's crazy to think how hyped Infinity War will be.

I mean, how many films have been building towards it? It has to be considered one of the greatest accomplishments in film history if it gets pulled off well.

It's much easier for DC to do a Wonder Woman than it is for Marvel to do a female led movie because Wonder Woman is part of the DC Trinity (and pretty damn high on the DC totem pole).

Who's the highest ranked woman on importance for Marvel Comics? (now take away any Spider-Man/Fantastic Four/X-Men female characters) They don't have someone the calibre of Wonder Woman.

Man, Marvel just keeps on hitting the right buttons. By the time we get to DC's response to all of this, Marvel would have reached phase 4 probably.

Here's the GOTG 2 logo, LOL

Any chance that the use of a number (which Marvel seems to be avoiding since the Iron Man movies) and the obviously not final title screen are because the real title could be spoilery for AoU?

Like, if it contained the word 'Hulk'?

EDIT: Oh shit, the post above me beat me to it.

Man, all this news makes me wish they put out a cheaper phase one box set.

I don't need the briefcase, just the movies!

If there is something that can be considered a concern, it's Marvel's heavy direction towards the cosmic stuff. That's never been a huge focus in Marvel comics, but what else can they do? That's what they've got the rights to so they don't have a lot of choice. Without the X-Men and Spider-Man which can arguably be considered their two biggest franchises, they still have enough to dish out a fairly impressive lineup of MCU movies.

No Iron Man 4 then? Interesting considering its a cash cow. Pretty excited... but wow I'll be 30 by the time phase 3 ends haha.

No Hulk movie makes me sad though =(

Civil War before the last Avengers films. Should be interesting...

You are kidding yourself if you think Avengers 3 will be the last. They are making way, way too much money to stop now. Barring an unforeseen crash of the superhero movie market, there will surely be more Avengers movies. Hell, Feige himself said they have a plan through 2028 at the least.

Haha, guess I'm not so original for thinking of that!

You know, Avengers 2 is titled Age of Ultron, and has nothing to do with the Age of Ultron comic arc.

Could be something similar going on with Cap 3/Civil War. The comic version doesn't really translate over to the MCU, so I expect a lot of changes to be made.

Marvel probably really wanted to, but with RDJ's demands, Marvel wants to use that momentum to build up new characters so Marvel's brand is bigger than just Iron Man.
