the good thing is, whatever they do, they can justify it. the position of a clear market leader is a comfortable one.
if they do nothing and win the holiday season - well, microsoft will be completely clueless what else to do.
if they do nothing and lose the holiday season - the kept the price and stayed profitable. if the gap is narrowing a little because of that, they can easyly live with that as they have the rest of the world in the bag. after all, they have the better lineup for the months after and still can lower the price if necessary.
if they make a worthy counter (GTA bundle, price drop, whatever) - they will not lose anyway. or?
