I like one woman that doesn't seem to like me. Her coworker seems to like me. Ribbit.

I think there's a massive difference between enjoying pretty entertainers's looks, during their line of work and actively stalking and creeping on random women. Please don't equate the two. It's like pretty K-pop stars promo pics are inherently wrong and shouldn't be looked at or something.

whatever you do, don't visit kpop irc

Dokish thread backfiring on him?... who would've thought?...
..and they haven't even found his racist posts.

It's not a problem of liking them, it's a problem of focusing on their sexual desirability over their music in a music thread.

If I posted about Lady Gaga's latest with 50 ass shots, I'm not a music fan.

It's a community thread where people show their favourite artists and share songs that they were a part of. The "K-pop" in the thread title is just a general term meaning all things encompassing the idea so that would mean the performers, music, variety shows and even goes off to Korean dramas or K-music as a whole. It's more of a Korean pop culture thread.

But as Yam1r said, they're performers. How they perform and how they're photographed (official or unofficial) would eventually go to that thread because of their affiliation to the music the posters are interested in.

Yes, I do go to the k-pop thread sometimes. I enjoy some Korean music and I like sharing it with the members that go there. Are the majority of the posters that go there are creepy? Not really from what I see. They think the women are attractive or like a particular performer so they post their pictures. Are some of the posters creepy? Yeah, of course and actually, the biggest problem I have with a poster there is actually with dokish (the OP).

This post is entirely true:
Excuse the lack of links since I'm dealing with a headache and it's about to be 4am here.

Yes you have the creepiness factor correct. He's been in Korea for a bit and it's not just because he wants to study there. He's got an obsession with Korean women.

He'd link to pictures he'd be taking at a coffee shop, and it was random women just hanging around there. More specifically their legs. He also posted a picture while he was walking down the street. The camera was literally around his thigh taking pictures of random women and aimed at their legs. The excuse was "It was an accident."

He's pretty much the reason I stopped visiting the K Pop thread here on Gaf.

His whole reasoning for finding it fine to take picture of random women was because the K Pop thread is filled with pictures of the members from groups. Which is ridiculous because the girls in groups are used to that kind of stuff. Random women not so much. I'm sure he's got a collection stashed somewhere with more pictures of women who don't agree with being privately photographed.

And this post as well of the other k-pop gaf posters criticizing him of being creepy:
Man, it just gets creepier but at least the other members of KpopGAF make him out to be an outlier.

Now, don't generalize the entirety of that thread of being creepy. Some like the music, some like the performers, some like both or some just like Korean stuff in general.

And I don't know why you guys are going after giri for his posts. From my visits to the k-pop thread is that he's the biggest critic for dokish and is pretty vocal about it. This was a few OTs back too.

EDIT: But having read the thread, please don't call women A, B or C. And hopefully you grow out of being a creep.

More of a curiosity, but how would you label different people in a hypothetical post where you do not wish to disclose the identity of those people? The capital letters make it easy to read and can't be considered as offensive by any stretch of the imagination.

I highly doubt OP refers to them as A, B, and C outside of GAF. I could be missing something though as I didn't read the entire thread (just the mandrake summary a page back).

The preferred format is Female Specimen #[Age][Height][Weight]HairSmell]

Please no. I dont know how law enforcement works in Korea, but hopefully someone at the pizza place alerts the authorities eventually and they take him and his creep shot camera away. The girls privacy and safety are realistically in jeopardy at this point.

Did you not read the rest of what I said? Basically asking them out is what a normal person would do, but since he's a really creepy guy, he awkwardly asks them out, gets rejected but he keeps on acting like nothing happened and that they are somehow attracted to him (they aren't b/c they already rejected his advances) which is really creepy behavior. And he does this at their work so they can't tell him to fuck off and they have to be nice making it even more creepier.

He has some troubles expressing things sometimes and can sound weird. Example: saying females.

Also, he is not white, those pics are not from him, but what does his skin colour matter in this topic?
Because it's very common for white men to fetishize asian women?

Also referring to women as females is not always an English problem but a shitty sexist one that seems to be getting excused as "he has trouble communicating" which seems like bull.

The back seat modding, trying to get an entire Community forum locked, and attempt to attach OP's personal life to his creepy ass posts has honestly become more alarming than the thread itself. This post in particular which no one talked about

lol damn. sent some of your photos to my friends in korea. just be careful is what i'm saying.

seems like a threat. Unless the "be careful" is for him to continue his voyeuristic camera shots and collection in which case, that's gross.

This thread indeed took an interesting turn. I'm laughing with (almost) all of the responses. I deeply apologize to K Pop community for the attention. We all know how the internet can pick something and spin out of control.

Regarding all "you're a creep" comments, well, what you guys expect me to say? To go on my knees, start giving explanations and etc? I'm not an attention whore.

I can confirm that the K Pop community called me out for a lot of my posts. However, 80% of them are made out of jokes and to tease. Some people defend violent and abusive cops, some people get all worked up because I said "guilty as charged" regarding some celebrity being stalked (which was a joke), and they say how serious that joke was - Send me to the electric chair!

This thread make me realize that we can never really know someone. I'm glad so much stories are shared on GAF in the form of threads so we can take this chance to learn about the human experience.

Some people met me in Korea and I have a huge network of friends here. The women getting their hair sniffed, don't worry, it was fully consensual and most of them became my friends and we hang out.

Were people actually concerned by the fact that I called them A, B and C? It's for obvious reasons.

Again, sorry to the K Pop GAF :P

EDIT: I though it was natural to say female?

Isn't how cops usually make descriptions? "Black male. Middle twenties. Wearing a red hoodie". Stuff like that.

EDIT2: And I urge K POP GAF to stop posting since community defense force members always get banned, and I love you guys too much :D

Because he's not defending K-pop thread, he's defending dokish regardless of how he feels about him and trying to turn it around and make people out to be creepy that posted choice quotes from him.

He's cutting off his nose to spite his face.

Regarding all "you're a creep" comments, well, what you guys expect me to say?

"I learned something about myself and I'll try to stop being so creepy."

Too much to ask, I know.

There is a really seedy underbelly within GAF. As a parent I see alot of behavior on here that makes me really uncomfortable.

Agreed. I can only hope that as a parent, I can instill the presence of mind in my kids to avoid creepy and potentially dangerous people.

Genuinely curious. Do you feel like anything you've said in this thread or the K-POP thread was inappropriate or offensive? Do you understand why anyone would be offended by it?

yeah, thanks for allowing me to vicariously experience being a creep. fucking weirdo. any rationalization or justification for taking pictures of women's legs, you sick fuck?

This is not a very good way to respond. No matter how gross he appears to be, there is no call for threatening another person.

We need a rating system for threads, almost missed out on this one.

Dokish if you don't understand why its creepy to be into 14 year olds then you are too far gone.

Also, guess what? The people that defend cops being killers get banned. Your behavior isn't just left-field or merely different, it's outright disgusting and you should be ashamed.

You think it's okay to threaten another person for some creepy ass posts they've anonymously made on a gaming forum and have no record of harming another person?

thanks dokish for making me/us look bad
nah. i know others like to bunch an individual with the community, but dokish seems to be the outlier in terms of creepy behavior. maybe there are others who're like him; they just do a better job of concealing it. so no, i don't look at the kpop community with contempt or disgust; just this dude.

right. cause having your pictures taken unknowingly is not harmful to that person.

Under my coat is a weary heart, but a kind one - one that would do nobody any harm.

I started dating my wife because she was into me initially. I didn't make the first move. I'd suggest you move in similar fashion.

Your post was worded in a way where OP could potentially get jumped. Now if you meant you alerted law enforcement then sure go ahead that makes sense I don't know any Korean laws but if what he did was illegal then he should be punished how the law enforcement sees fit, but if he's in danger of being harmed because of his posts (pictures included) then that's where you're crossing the line.

how you parse what i wrote is on you. i don't want my friends in korea to get creeped on. the outcome ultimately depends on dokish's behavior. what line did i cross that dokish didn't trample?

Are you Korean-American or full Korean?

My original post was under the assumption your post was a threat, I'm sorry for misunderstanding. You have every right to inform your friends. You didn't cross any line.

this thread... another denko in the making...

Sniffing a girl's hair, please... dude... get a new party trick.

I don't think the K-pop thread is creepy, the kpop girls are genuinely hot and nothing wrong posting photos of kpop stars. Not sure about posting real girls on the street though, I mean that's got nothing to do with K-pop.

Every weekend. I roll in just to chat and high five them sometimes. These women work like dogs, so sometimes I buy them coffee and food. Today they thanked me for the coffee and good of last time. Today I got them some Kebab. They literally work from 5pm to 6am.

Edit: they are always bored out of their minds. They love chatting with me.
so where is this sweat shop located?
