I'm reading Outcast. Im really enjoying it and one of the few horror comics to actually creep me out.

No, it has turned into a gigantic thing about recent Batman stories (ZY, Batman & Two-Face, Icarus), though will mostly still be a critique on ZY. just need to finish Icarus and then I'll get it wrapped up. Glad someone took note and is keeping an eye out for that!

At present I am trying to drag myself through the end of The Iron Nail/The Bitter March and it's kind of a slog, you guys weren't kidding.

It isn't very large but it is larger than normal TPBs. Here's a comparison with the Fear Agent Library edition (which is the same size as DC's Absolute editions).

Well, Vertigo is going to get an overhaul. I'd like to assume that bigger incentives for creators to work with them (to match or beat Image) is going to be a part of that overhaul, or else there really isn't much point to any changes.

The small minor benefit of being paid before and while you do the work as opposed to after.

Well, I know IDW's big thing is their licenses. I have no idea about other publishers though. I was thinking about that too when I found out that Morrison's Annihilator was published by Legendary. I have no idea why he went with them. I can't imagine a different publisher wouldn't be all over it if they were given the opportunity.
I'd love to hear from a writer who's had things published by a few non-Big-Two publishers about that situation.

my friends wanted interstellar first. I wanted to wait and get a ticket for 70mm imax but we're going to a crummy AMC theatre instead.

Big Hero 6 is probably going to be first, easier to take the kid to an animated movie than a three-hour epic that I've seen compared to Solaris...she's a trooper but that seems a stretch. As soon as we can arrange a date night we will see Interstellar at the Alamo Drafthouse. I'm excited for both.

Been a little absent for the past few days My mom went to Italy for a few weeks, so I've been trying to go over to my parent's house more often to help my dad and brothers. However, I was still able to read my Wednesday comics

Tooth & Claw was indeed amazing. Love the world they're building, and I'm already a sucker for anthromorphic animals. Bull Terrier looking protagonist? SURE! Excellent writing and artwork, couldn't have been more pleased with a first issue. Even got a giggle out of the little snippet about Busiek and co. talking about collaborating on this project.

Velvet continues to impress. Just can't get over how much of a badass she is, and how drawn in I am her story.
