I just actually opened my first Hellboy Library Edition. I actually hadn't felt the cover before thanks to the plastic shrink-wrap, so I'm currently enjoying the nice cloth feel for the first time. It's obviously way nicer, but it's making me nostalgic for those cloth book covers I used to get for my school books...

So.

I just finished Overlord II, and I'm about to break the shrinkwrap on this copy of Arkham City GOTY.
Enjoy. I liked AA better overall but it's still a blast to play. The catwoman sections were a nice addition. I'm sitting with COD:AW, Bayonetta 2 and Sunset Overdrive and I'm not sure which one to play first. And Master Chief collection & wow expansion coming next week

But I've been sick this week. So I've played nothing so far and reading comics in bed instead

Be prepare to lint roll that baby if you have pets in the house.

Had a hard time getting into Tooth and Claw. Might give it a reread to see if I'm going to stick with it.

Chew was nice and vicious.
WTF how do I get denied Poyo vs. the Collector

My goodness at the art in Amazing Spider-man #9. It is just glorious and is really adding to the feeling of the event. Spider-Verse has hit all the right notes for me this far. Peter legitimately made me laugh for the first time in a while
him being unable to comprehend all the spiders being in one place and calling himself the worst Spider-Man.

Why can't Coipel stay forever :(. I can't go back to Ramos after this.

Doesn't seem like a lot of people are reading Birthright, which is a shame...it's a great book, even if it's a little too easy to see where this is all going...

Our protagonist has fled his heroic destiny on this other world as some sort of pact with the Big Bad. Pretty soon one or more of his training buddies are gonna show up to hunt him, probably to try and drag him back.

Still, I'm really enjoying it. And this is a great page:

A telling remark! Has it really, hero? Has it really?

Damn, doesn't that pop though? Gorgeous art in this book.

Just two tiny non-shedding dogs, so I should be fine.

Also, just finished reading the Seed of Destruction part. That's actually the one part of Hellboy I've read in the past, though it's been long enough and I only remembered a few select bits and pieces, so it was pretty fresh. Definitely a nice read to start things off, and it definitely also starts off big! I'll see if I can also fit in Wake the Devil tonight.

Just haven't read #2 yet but I loved the first one. Think Rafa also liked it.

Nice! I reread it recently too when I bought the Library Edition a couple months ago. So great. Even though it was a reread, it was one of my most enjoyed comics reading experiences in recent memory.
I actually just got the second Library Edition in the mail in my IST order today, so I'm really excited for that.
The box is still sitting unopened on my floor...

The first issue just went on discount so I bought it based on your positive feedback last month. Just like I picked up annihilator from Korups praise. See! I'm always watching from the shadows

*swoops cape dramatically*

That seems pretty cool. Boom! has been doing some great stuff lately.
Has anyone heard of Ryan Ferrier, Devaki Neogi, or Neil Lalonde? Have they done anything good?

literally none of them, but i really dug the preview images and concept a lot so i gotta give it a shot

Grayson #4 keeping up the awesome. Read it right after Velvet #8 for continued Spyjinks.

Hey comic GAF, I got Blacksad on your recommendation and I gotta think you guys. Beautiful.

Tooth & Claw #1 came out today too if you're turning furry. :D

Not as awesomer as than Blacksad, but it's a pretty cool book. Art is gorgeous, too.

This upcoming Boom! miniseries about a girl gang looks p. rad

I'm down. I love books like this. Also looking forward to Bitch Planet next month.

Read the rest of my DC books.

Superman Unchained concluded maybe Scott Snyders weakest work for me. I fucking adore his Batman, if you have not noticed, but his Superman is just kinda dull. Jim Lee was the star of the show with this book and delivered a feast for the eyes. His art alone kept my buying it. As far as the ending, it was pretty standard Superhero fare. There was a few moments of characterization in there that clicked.

Detective 36, the ending of the 2 part Terminal arc was very satisfying. If cape books went the Image route of taking breaks in between arcs, new creative teams like this as fill-ins would be welcomed.

Fight, run away, bicker amongst yourselves, fight again. Repeat until new status quo is achieved.

Havok immediately turned into every issue of Bendis' Uncanny X-Men as soon as the Red Skull fight was over.

Oh, it's just a single book?
Guess I can get it from Amazon then.

For now. It's not a monthly series. Sejic posts new strips to his deviantArt page when they're finished. He's into chapter four right now, so I don't know how much of it is going to be included in this volume.

Anyone read Amazing Spider-Man 9?

Spider-Verse is looking to be legit. I am very impressed with what I have seen thus far.

I am surprised that Black Widow is not included though.

Ultimate Black Widow is. 616 Black Widow isn't actually a Spider, she's just a Russian spy.

Bleh, the AR flight missions are reminding me of Superman64. Who in the heck thought that was a good idea? :(

Think I'm done playing for tonight. Time to put the game backlog aside and work on the comic backlog.

Just read it and it was once again fantastic.
Did Mikey explain why he aged so quickly in the first issue? I thought he did and don't feel like getting the issue out of the box.

Holy fucking fuck. Tooth & Claw #1 was great. Thanks to whoever mentioned it Tuesday, I totally would have passed it by otherwise.

One chapter per volume

I figured it would be something like that. Hopefully they come out faster than volumes of Ravine. Shit, that reminds me that I still need to read Vol. 2 of Ravine. And my Alias omnibus. And Tribes. And Vol. 23-25 of Claymore. Etc. Etc.

Yes,
about what you'd expect: time moves faster on Terrenos.
Glad you liked it...it's a slow burn but I'm a fan of stories that take their time.

I have this beast sitting in front of me waiting to be devoured and now I'm hyped!
