Now the only question is, do I get this on PS4 or Xbox.
Go for 900p.....I see you like inferior things!

However, each of those zones is gigantic in and of itself. In the 80 hours I spent playing Inquisition, I only fully completed two zones, and each of them took me around 20 hours of exploration, questing and monster-bashing.

From the Polygon review:
Wow.
I can live with 900p, only thing holding me back from going PS4 is carrying over the EA access save file and more importantly, finding out what the DLC exclusivity entails.
I also wonder if the EA access save file can carry over to the physical version of the game.
Any of the reviews talked about if you need to play DA1 & 2 first to get full enjoyment from this one? After all the fall AAA disappointments, kind of want to play a good AAA game like they're making this sound like, but still haven't gotten around to playing the first two.
You know the DLC is coming to PS4....who cares about the wait? Seeing how good the PS4 sells and how much EA love money the DLC will come sooner than you think

What a noob. In the 80 hours I played, I 100%'d most of the zonesPP

Skipped DA2 and it has been so long since I played DA:O (never played Awakening)...should I go back and do that stuff first?

You can sort of see the wonkiness of the Tactical View in some of the streams anytime they're trying to move the camera around trees or any sort of elevation. The camera at it's most zoomed out just does not seem zoomed out enough, which I think one of the reviews mentions.
The tactics menu downgrade is annoying since that was so robust and great in Origins if you wanted to engage with it and now its sounds really bare bones.
From the PC Gamer review:
Control over the partys tactics has been simplified. In previous games, orders resembled absurd algebra puzzles. If Morrigan drops below 25% health, should she turn into a swarm of insects? Sure, but only if she stops being insects at lesser than or equal to 50% mana. In Inquisition, you have some agency over when healing items are consumed, but skills can only be enabled, disabled or marked as preferentialgiving them priority over other skills.
I miss the fine-tuning the old system enabled. Controlling Inquisitions party requires either accepting the inefficiencies of the AI, or spending a lot of time micro-managing. Choose the latter, and youll find the tactics battle screenused to assign orders to the party members youre not currently controllinghas its own issues, all of which are with the camera. It gives you a top-down view of the battlefield, but is awkward to move and doesnt zoom out quite far enough. There are times when it shines, such as during battles with dragons where theres a large space and a single target. Against multiple enemies, things can get confusing.
Woah! In the dark season of underwhelming review scores, this was the game I wasn't expecting to pull out 9s. Nice surprise!

Is it easy to track progress for secrets and sidequests in zones? (Are there any screenshots to show this?)
Usually buy Creed games every year ...never bought a DA game.
However, this year its bye bye Creed, hello Dragons...on ps4.
Looks good.
I'm going Xbox One for that 6 hour head start, as well as the 10% discount on EA digital titles.
I always treat one console as my main and one for exclusives. Get through my games faster that way at least for me and all my trophies and stuff under one profile. I really don't care about trophies/achievements, but friends have told me it's nice to see what games i really enjoyed enough to compete thoroughly and what I've only played for a day or two.True, and PS4 will look better. I'll really have to think this one out.. beside, on the 18th I'm picking up Farcry 4 for the PS4, and probably GTAV, so maybe I should pick up DAI on X1 to even it out.
Who knows, hard decision.
Might be personal preference.
I just think the camera works better with the joysticks from the gamepad. It's kinda difficult to explain. I'll just wait and see what you guys think of it once the game is out.

They're not overly long games if you skip fetch quests and the inconsequential secondary stuff. You could even just play the main games and read the most important stuff from the dlcs...not many have essential story information. Maybe just play DA 2 Legacy because it's the best part of the game and it seems it will be important in Inquisition to some degreeAny of the reviews talked about if you need to play DA1 & 2 first to get full enjoyment from this one? I saw a couple of people wondering where the GameTrailers review is. I (Ben Moore) will be doing the review and it will likely go up Thursday or Friday this week. Sorry for the delay, but so far I've absolutely loved it. It's the Dragon Age game I've been waiting for.
