So, there's something odd about H2A campaign. There's been several instances where I could sneak up on enemies in the original, but now they know I'm there even before I've started moving. Most recent thing I can think of is the big grav lift on Gravemind. I usually go down and smack the Brute on guard in the back of the head, but now the guy just turns around and attacks the moment I touch down.
Maybe it's just coincidence, but I thought it was weird.
Another thing is dialogue. Stuff characters used to say on the radio, e.g. Miranda, Johnson and Guilty Spark during the fight with Tartarus, now aren't. You can vaguely hear them talking in the distance while fighting. This happens a lot during the game, was kind of a downer.
Last thing that bugged me was the final cutscene. "Sir, finishing this fight". Cut to black, wait a few seconds to load, and then they let the music play. :lol So weird.

What's annoying to me is behind all the glitches, bugs and shitty matchmaking, there is an amazing game there with years of replay value

True, but I never planned on buying an Xbone before I got caught up in the MCC hype. I'm not going to buy the platform if the MCC doesn't work at all.

It'll work, just give it time. Might as well buy one and get Sunset Overdrive to pass the time, that game is amazing.
The state of the game is a shame, but in the other hand going there an insult, get angry, or just make cruel remarks about the developers.. What is that going to achieve? Don't you think those engineers are under a lot of pressure right now? I bet a lot of people in 343 is getting little to no sleep right now...
I'm not being an apologist, the fact the game shipped like this is unforgettable, but then people should just be congruent, Don't like it? trade it, refund it, trash it, give it away to charity, never ever buy a Halo game again, stop pre ordering games, don't buy multiplayer games that haven't been tested properly, get out of the "hype train", wait for reviews and digital foundry...
Being "outraged" trowing drama in the internet is easy, but I think there are far better ways to send a message, actions speak louder than words.

But yeah, those are the kinds of people I hate the most. I'm guessing it's people like that, that were the cause for the term "sheeple" to be made.

Well, I just got to the tractor beam section of Truth & Reconciliation. How silly of me to forget the six packs of enemies that come down, Elites, Jackals, and Grunts. I've about 4 rounds left in my sniper and am trying to save them for the Hunters. And I keep getting wrecked by one of the eventual packs.
I've cleared this part about 3 times now on Legendary, and all I remember is I eventually got past it and this section has forever caused me PTSD.
GAF, any tips for this part?
what other weapons do you have?

Basically whatever is on the playing field. Plasma pistol (which I have been using to some effect), Needler, and the occasional plasma rifle.

Good luck.
Just started my LASO run for CE, but damn does the foreign skull make it hard. Not being able to use plasma nades or the plasma pistol makes it hard as hell.
What the hell is up with the multiplayer? I cannot get into a game with decent performance. The lag is just awful with my character jittering all over the player and targets warping around the map. It's impossible to play.
Finally able to get into games now but every game I've joined has been unplayable.

Oh no that skull is active in the LASO playlist? Whelp, LASO on CE is going to be the last thing I do.
Someone pointed out that the way the Xbone controllers are may potentially cause CE to not register each trigger pull as separate. I have yet to verify, but it could be what causes some people to see the spread.

I was playing single player last night.
Halo:ce I was on the 3rd level as it were (you have to go to the covenant shop to rescue keys)
The level leading up to it... Wtf 343 It is meant to be a desert platueu (spelling is wrong apologies), yet there is more green than sand! I had to change it to classical original graphics to be able to see what was shooting at me....

Interesting. Playing Halo:CE campaign, I am habing a hard time landing my headshots with the Pistol. And I shouldn't be, as I know where to get headshots. It's ingrained in me after so any years of playing the game over and over again. I've had to adjust slightly and I was wondering where the culprit was. I was asking myself, is it the sensitivity of the Xbox One controller? Is it the 1080p resolution? If it's what you've said, then that is very interesting and makes me wonder if 343 is aware or even cares enough to address it any point in this game's life.

Sadly it is. Just passed the section where you get the overshields and I'm stuck. Hope that 343i changes some of the skulls for the LASO playlists.
Edit: And I'm done with the CE LASO playlist. Not being able to use covenant weapons makes it impossible for me

Am I the only one who thinks Halo CE's campaign does not hold up after all these years? It felt like such a slog, maze after maze. The Library is still the worst level in videogames if you ask me.

So is the content update planned for today only to fix campaign issues? Leaving the matchmaking to be fixed by "daily server side" changes and a content update within a week?
The server side changes they have been making haven't made it any more stable for me, seems like they just tried to fluff up an announcement that the matchmaking won't be fixed by the weekend as originally stated...

Some parts hold up better than others, that's for sure.
I tend to find the Halo 2 campaign far less enjoyable--I'd take 343GS/The Library/Two Betrayals together over Sacred Icon/Oracle any day.

Ive just tried to find a match, and said the game was full (???).
Now when I search for matches it doesnt show up the waiting list!! WTF! Ive even tried closing the app and enter in it again... Same thing!

No, from what I've read they have isolated the cause and are busy fixing it. The server updates are being done to help in the meantime. I'm guessing content updates take time to pass through QA and therefore we are seeing the stuff that they have initially corrected coming through but more updates must be in the pipeline.

The impression I got, was a content update in the morning to fix non mp shit. Then another content update sometime in the next week to fix the mp issues.

Just lost a 3v3 where I had 26 kills 4 deaths, guy on my team had 4 kills and 32 deaths, and his tool of destruction was the SMG, on team fucking BR's. I'm steamed, straight steamed. These people have no clue how to play halo, I keep seeing bizarre tactics from people.
Any difficulty, really. Halo 1 Flood aren't as much of a chore to me because once you have a pistol and shotgun you're set. You outrange most enemies in the game with a scope, and at least with the tricks I've done, I found speeding through the levels much easier (that said I'm going to have to spend more time looking at speedruns when I go for the 3hr Legendary achievements, so maybe I'll change my tune.)
Sacred Icon and Oracle (and to a lesser extent, Quarantine Zone) have always felt like a slog to me in a way no other campaign levels of Halo have.

I miss the days when random people would join Halo 1 games at a LAN party and charge into battle with the Assault Rifle without a care in the world. Really fun stuff.

I was already worried about people not being able to connect with these games because of the slower pace and outdated graphics. Add in a month of unplayable matchmaking and I can easily see this game being forgotten and never getting the player base it deserves.
What a shame, too.
