@Everyone correcting me: Got it!

Now just to get people back to earth, TLG even if shown, will not be a megaton!! Its known to be still alive. When it comes back, it will be cool. But I have a feeling its not gonna be shown at this PSX thing.

It being known to exist doesn't make it not a megaton. The game is at legend status.

True. I only know of one announcement, I'd class it as a big deal. I was told it's not the biggest reveal planned, but even so this seems a bigger event than E3/Gamescom based on the little I do know.

There's always someone who cries at the party.

Right. And FFVII and Shenmue would classify as that.

Does TLG really matter compared to FFVII? Not really.

Would Shenmue though? That's a Sega thing forever and always, no matter what Sony says/does/pays.

I'm reading the calls for that game from PS fans as the manifestation of a desperation for a AAA JP game to prop up.

Another guy that knows stuff. GET HIM!!!
All I know is that I've gotten a billion e-mails from indie devs who are gonna be there and I'm considering writing up a form response explaining that I can't see their games because I'll be busy playing craps.

Shhhhh. Logic is not welcome here. Only chaos and hype train tickets.

Right I'm bailing out of this crazy thread until the morn of the big day. Super excited. But I don't want to end up banned if my posts come off as teases.

For what it's worth I think it's going to satisfy.

See you all in a few days!

Why do people not understand that this is a matter of opinion? FFVII would cause people's balls to explode, yes. But, I'd still rather have TLG AND fully intact balls and there are probably a few people that agree with me. Mostly those of us that can't stand turn-based combat and the character design of FF games. So there, suck on that!
Not my balls

Shenmue would matter more than TLG. Heck, the game might actually sell more than TLG if it were announced since it would get major backing and it would be open world.

FFVII is in a class of its own and even that's impossible in one week.

I'm talking about fans as a whole.

Everyone knows that FFVII is a bigger deal than TLG. You admitted as much yourself.

It's simply due to the fact that TLG still exists. We know nothing about FFVII.

Indie games at a Playstation event? Surely you jest sir! Get on that JRPG hunt!

I just wanted to see everyone's baseline for what would constitute a good show, it's genuinely innocuous questions. One thing that always happens when a show comes along is that people have such insane expectations that no matter what is revealed they aren't happy. I loved Sony's Gamescom 2013 show, for example, but the common complaint was there were too many indies. But I loved that shit.

So I would like to see what people's "ideal show" would look like, if they were making it

To be reasonable here, I think Sony is a very different company than when PS first started. They were like Apple back then, but now with so much expansion, the company is so very bloated, and cutting off that fat is resulting in losses every year. But even, a new nimble, profitable Sony is likely not trying to invest a whole lot going forward. An ideal show from a fan's perspective would be stupid IMO. As much as PS division is all about creativity and pushing boundaries, I think Kaz is mostly about profit for the next couple years. What would fans request? Stuff like Jet Moto, or twisted Metal? And forums would light up, Sony would get good media coverage and then what? Games debut to 9/10's and sell 300k a piece. That's not what Sony wants anymore. So the question we should be considering is what is both financially feasible, a sound investment, and will get great media coverage from fans.

The Crash thing I'm just not sure it will sell well unless they have a break-through in gameplay and market it to death. So I'm very 50/50 on that.

Final Fantasy attached to anything will get attention, so as long as Sony develops a good JRPG, they can remake, remaster, or sell it with great success I believe. A basic continuation of the story or a re-imaginng of the game would work IMO. I'm not sure it'll be here, but I do believe it's coming.

Shenmue doesn't make any sense to me unless Sony invest a ton of money into it to become like GTA, and if they are going to do that, might as well use The Getaway IP or Infamous or just make a new one. No need to even involve Sega here if they want a big open-world franchise.

The last Guardian, if ready, would be a perfect fit for celebrating PS.

A new Gran Torismo would also fit here.

The rest will be updates to stuff announced, but that won't be bad at all..Stuff announced is amazing varied.

See you guys later, too much hype for a Monday.

What is even going on in this thread

All the inmates from the insane asylum are posting in the same thread :P

When only ~10% of all the predictions in the thread come through and folks figure out that 90% was hype manufactured out of thin air, there will be lot's of sad faces come next Monday.

I'm not sure it is entirely a matter of opinion. One can have zero interest in either TLG or FF7r and should still be able to understand the magnitude of the tonnage.

If Sony are watching this thread they must be getting pretty damn worried.
"They're expecting Crash and FF7R.. all we've got is Knack 2 and exclusive Street Fighter V skins! :("

Did they get worried before the E3 or Gamescom ?? People expected far more for this E3 Show than seein Powers and multiplat Third Party Games

Rime is being published by Sony so it's not an indie game, but that doesn't mean it's getting a retail release either.

DD =/= indie
Ok thanks. Hope for retail retail release tough

The thing about FFVII Remake is:

1) Would it even be announced before XV is released?

2) Is it going to take another decade to develop like XV?

I don't want to wait years and years for a game. Just announce it when it's absolutely ready to be marketed and unleashed upon the world.

This is why a FF VII remake is the last thing I'll believe.

Thinking (too much!) about all this madness.

The EAMGON video is really annoying me and think maybe its to throw us internet detectives off. Look over here....

Or maybe the "secret" is PS4 hardware related? Secret sauce for real! It would be easier to keep secret.

If it is a game that insiders here know about, I'm amazed it hasn't leaked.

I need sleep.........

Sony Santa Monica tweeted 2 hours ago about celebrating the Holidays with a cake.

And what was on the cake, you ask?

Kratos!!!!!

God of War 4 confirmed for PSX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious how long we can go without leaks... seems like people are getting bits and pieces of more and more info as time goes on... someone is bound to break :(
