Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi : "Unexpected" game announcement "soon"

I know, right?

At least you got two Dino Crisis games. I only got one Dragon Quarter and it killed off the entire franchise despite being a high note.

Never got the chance to play DQ but i've wanted to.
Really liked what I heard about the timer mechanic.
True at least I got two games. Always have to look for the good things.

If you liked Dino Crisis, there's a good chance you'll like DQ. It's almost a survival horror JRPG.

Yes, you get the overpowered dragon form common to BoF games... But guess what? That shit ain't near enough for the stuff you fight.

It's a pretty tight story, and not all that long.

Plus, it's like $20 on eBay, so it's not expensive to pick up.

monster hunter tie-in is my guess because capcom

alternatively, to quote myself from the last thread:

Capcom is killing it with the teases. Something for PSX, something that aligns with Jump and then something in Jan…

I might end up doing so in january which is my old school month for games.

Im hyper ventilating here. A new DMC or DD by Hedeaki Itsuno for current gen is exactly what i want. please be true.

If this is announced at Sony's event be very mindful of the phrasing.

'Coming to PS4' - likely multiplatform.
'Sony exclusive' - PS3/PS/Vita
'Console exclusive' - PC/PS4
'PS4 exclusive' - exactly as it sounds

Kobayashi did work on both DMC, RE, Dino Crisis and Dragon's Dogma. Even in shitty games like PN03 or Killer 7. So who knows, it can be everything.

But for sure Capcom will announce a big PS4 game, and sounds that it's going to be exclusive if it's Ono's next game.

Dragon's Dogma 2, resurrected by Nintendo. It's not going to happen, but it would certainly be unexpected. And regardless of how the game turned out it would be worth it just for the mayhem in the announcement thread.

Just an FYI... You're going to get your ass kicked the first couple times you play. You'll make it an hour or two in before getting killed messily.

It's a semi-Roguelike, in that you're supposed to grind out the first couple hours of the game to get better skills, equipment, and party XP (which can be carried over to the next playthrough) before you start tackling the later stages of the game.

Three tips:

1) Don't use D-Dive or D-Dash unless you absolutely, positively have to once the game starts tracking the percentage. (you get a brief window where the powers are "free") Try boss fights a few times before using it for even a 1% or 2% gain, because later boss fights pretty much require a Ryu who can tank a 10% hit to his percentage.
2) The game is very much a SRPG in combat. Ryu is the tank, Nina lays traps and does AOE, and Lin is ranged DPS. Picking your positions and sticking to them will really, really help you maximize your combat potential.
3) At a certain mid-point of the game, during the Scrapyard, you'll get the opportunity to cheat the system a little bit and grind some Party XP without having to replay the opening segments of the game a million times. If you recognize this area yourself, great! Use it! If not, I'll happily give you the details for it.

Xbox exclusive space 3PS with space dinos, the fuck were they thinking? Someone at Capcom in 2002-04 was on some seriously bad shit when they greenlit, developed and released DMC2, DC3 and Capcom Fighting Jam.

No it didn't, the series stopped at 2.

Hey bish, whose idea was it to have the Giganotosaurus in Turok? I'm assuming you're a DC 2 fan, and I'm wondering if anyone else on the Turok dev team was as well.
