Uncharted 4 to kick off PlayStation Experience keyknote

bullet sponge enemy

Any enemy in the entire trilogy with the exception of bosses and djinns/brutes in Uncharted 3 (max difficulty) can be killed with one-two bullets to the head after getting their helmets off (another 1-2 bullets depending on the weapon), engaged on melee or instakilled from the back.

You and everybody who complains about the games being "bullet spongy" are either doing it wrong or plain bad at videogames. Clearly overly armored chest? Better keep shooting at it and blame developers for forcing me to aim fo the head or find the weapon that can kill them in two hits. How dare they add variety and complexity to the gameplay?! What a trash game.

The shit-easy platforming complains are legit though; it's embarrassingly oversimplified. As a TPS it's a fantastic game both single and multiplayer.

Not sure where I said it was anything other than my opinion, but okay guy.

Well maybe my reading comprehension is not what it was but the below quote certainly reads more like a factual ascertain than a subjective one:

When a game is as heavy on the shooting like the Uncharted series is, it's always nice to, you know, have interesting shooting mechanics and encounters.

Insane For Sony

Sorry, just had to, hahaha
Seriously though, I honestly feel that no other game series combines terrain traversal and shooting in such a satisfying and organic way. Other people look for different thrills, and are bother by different things, and that's fine.

I am so hyped for this, I can't wait to see what sorcery naughty dog has been able to pull off on the PS4. So anyone think this might be a late 2015 release?

This is the first time I heard anyone complaining UC's enemies being bullet sponges, regular enemys dies to several shots and one headshot, armored guys dies to a magazine tops, three if you use shotgun. Are we playing the same game?

same here.

also, I think I like UC3 a hair more than UC2.

So we only count UC fans opinions. Okay.

PS I'm a fan of the series.

Then go out and post a thread asking if the enemies are bullet sponges. You are gonna be shredded to pieces. How many shots to kill a target has nothing to do with being a fan or not, it's iron fact that isn't even debatable.

I think for example people who want "better" platforming out of these games tend to forget that a lot of the time platforming in the series is a means to quickly reposition yourself somewhere where you have a better aim on enemies, or to escape gunfire; and that the platforming happens in the middle of gunfights, so that you wouldn't have time to slowly aim your jumps.

My question is... When is Naughty Dog gonna announce an HD remaster collection of the first three for ps4? Sony must have this planned, it would be incredibly stupid of them not to. They'd alienate a huge number of ps4 owners who never had a ps3 and have no idea what Uncharted is. They'd severely limit their potential sales numbers by not doing this.

I would love an Uncharted Remastered Collection specifically for the Living Daylights set piece in Uncharted 3, which I found to be better than anything in Uncharted 2.

I would buy this so fast I'd make a sonic boom.

Run to the car and run when you get out of it to get to your pc/ipad whatever, but drive carefully.

Don't hype and drive!

Be safe on the road.

Huh? you're a fan of the series yet you find the series boring garbage and uninteresting?

Sorry if it isn't true but that's the message I got and interpreted

The graphics will undoubtedly be amazing.

I'm just hoping to god they actually have interesting gameplay to show, and not the boring garbage from UC 1-3. The series would be god-tier if NaughtyDog made the games remotely interesting to play.

Oh fuck oh fuck fuck... I thought I'd make it home in time from work but I'll be about 15 minutes late. I hope that Sony starts it off late as they seem to always do. With my luck, the trailer will kick on the second the clock rolls over to one

Edit: Twitch is almost always stuttering or buffering endlessly when I watch these types of things, but YouTube runs 'em perfectly, even on mobile 4g. Maybe I'll try that while driving home!

I really love the set pieces and the story/characters. And obviously the production values are top notch. But the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired to me. It's what prevents it from going from an 8/10 series to a 10/10 series.

Guess that means I can turn the "experience" off after the trailer.

Thanks, Sony!

People need to play UC1 on Crushing where you have to go for the headshot or go home. That stuff makes you a goddamn sexual tyrannoaurus.

Many also complained about brutal combos being too hard to pull off, though, so nothing surprises me. ND even changed the combos for UC2 D:

Ah, Ok now I understand, everything's A-Ok except the gameplay. Welp, let's see if that changes now that this is going to be the first UC game on this new gen.

So much for this beating AC:Unity in the graphics department. Still, the gameplay looks much improved than the previous UC games.. and I love the foliage look. Game suffers from a lot of framerate hitches.. I seriously doubt this will be 60fps locked.

Get out of here with that. Seriously...how can people complain about graphics from a 30fps shitty twitch stream? Of course there are frame rate hitches....

I can see the comments now.

"Best looking game ever!"

"Next-gen starts NOW!!"

"AC:Unity has been dethroned!!"

Are you vowed to defend AC: Unity?

Not everything is about it, you know.

EDIT:

Are you insane?! What we just saw of Uncharted 4 looks A LOT better than Unity, no contest.

I allready know you'll be in every thread trying to put the game down.
