I'm really hoping this is just a case of them underestimating demand and getting more produced as we speak, and not them leaving money on the table because ?????? arbitrary exclusivity or something????
I've been able to get the wave 1 characters I wanted no problem, and hopefully my wave 2 preorders from Amazon should be shipping soon, but this Rosalina business is just totally stressing me out, lol. One of the few I really want suddenly has all this commotion behind it!
I pinned the URL to my phone's start screen. Been checking all damn day. I have every other announced figure pre-ordered somewhere.
Awesome idea. I need to do that with the Lucario TRU page as well.

Then there's the Page Monitor chrome addon. Use the Advanced -> Custom Mode to search for updates only on the actual ordering part of the page. Addon checks for updates on a given interval, and can play noises when there's something new.
Wave 3 / Februray.
We're all just eyeing the pre-order page as the other store exclusives have been pre-selling out.

ToysrUs website just showed Diddy Kong as in stock. Placed my order. . . Got an email that it was cancelled 3 minutes later. Now I can't even add him to my cart. That hurt. That hurt REAL bad.

To be clear, the staff at my local store brought out the Diddy, Zelda, and Mac figures for me to buy. They also told me that their understanding was that Luigi was not arriving at the store until Monday.

I gave up on the jakks pacific crap after the supply issues. Nintendo has the scalper thing down great.

It's probably that every other store's exclusive has already been posted (and in some cases sold out), combined with an assumption that all retailers work similarly.

Half the point of amiibos is to service retailers who are probably very unhappy with the Wii U.
Her page just recently went up. And we're hoping she goes up soon so we can get our preorders in. Better to lock that shit up now than pray everything's good in-store.

Soo....I have had Pit, Captain Falcon and Luigi Amiibo on pre-order at Amazon since October 9th and they just sent me an email today saying that they would not be able to fulfill the order due to limited quantities......

Glad to know im not the only 1. Snagged Zelda yesterday. Searched all over town today and found Diddy and lil Mac at best buy. Went to purchase and they wouldn't sell em cuz the bb website has street dates of 12/17 and 12/19 respectively. Guy was nice enough to let me preorder in store tho. Made sure they put em in the back for me.

I don't mind this too much since it means the entire allotment of Rosalinas will be available in stores on day 1 without any reserved. It shouldn't be too hard to get one if you go on launch day... unless they break street date.

I just pre-ordered Mega Man through Amazon. All these figures quickly selling out from just pre-orders scared me and I had to secure mine. I'm probably gonna check and see if theirs a Little Mac but I'm not expecting much from what I'm hearing.

Also just got notification of the delay of my Falcon and Pit Amazon orders. I assume this is in regards to the late shipments and not lower than expected quantities received for them to fulfill preorders, right?

I'm guessing a mixture of the two. They sent out a small amount thinking that it would be adequate but then being shocked to see the rush to get them all.
It seems really hit or miss. No idea if pre-ordering earlier helps, but I doubt that.

It's to the point where preordering is just a backup plan more than anything.
Preorder wise, it's probably first come first serve. Lets also remember some retailers do a certain number of preorders before they cut off the orders. This must have been something like that.
