Wait didn't you guys already play this on ps3? Why are people so excited for this stream?

Some of us never played it and are interested in the Steam version, some wanted to see what extra thing were in the Steam version, others were hoping for more info about MGO and TPP ;)

Played it on PS3 and loved it. I don't have a PS4 or a XB1 and I want to play it in 60FPS. Really hope that this is a good port, because I really want to play these games on PC. Just think about the mod possibilities!

Yeah I already have the game on PS3 (didn't have a PS4 at the time), but I just wanted to see how different the PC version is going to be because that's where I'll be playing TPP.

I wonder why they didn't mention the new system requirements, they are hilarious.

I only own a PS3, no PS4. I could have rented the game on PS3 but I prefer to wait for the PC version because I prefer to play anything I can on my PC for a long list of reasons.
Even if I had a PS4 I'd still have waited for the PC version. I think overall most people are interested in seeing how it looks and what scalability the graphics have.

Hilariously overblown same as requirements for most current games?

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten that was the trend now. I don't expect to have any issues running it at max settings unless the engine is horrobily optimised.

They really aren't that bad actually, I fully expect I'll be able to max out this game at a steady 60FPS simply for the fact my Core i5 2500k and my GTX580 smoke the PS4's processor and GPU. Usually System Requirements these days are bullshit or the game is just terribly optimized which honestly I don't think it is.

We'll see what happens on Launch day, if I have any money to buy it that is.

Well yeah that's why I called them hilarious. I mean I had no trouble with anything at 2560x1440 aside from Unity which is a horrible mess, even The Evil Within is fixed now and runs great.

Bear in mind the PC version maxed out has noticeably better graphics than the PS4's preset. I'm sure those specs will be fine though.

it's still pretty weird they're just dropping the game on release day with no price announced.

not that it's really that much of a problem. we know it's going to be discounted, and pre-ordering digital goods never made much sense.

my sympathies to those with bad internet connections who wanted a preload, though.

Wait...just 4GB of disk space?

And here I though it was going to be a whooping 25GB or something ridiculous.

As I understand, GZ's main mission is ~1.5 hours long at most in a relatively small area. The extra missions are in the same area, with (mostly) the same assets. 4 GB makes sense to me.

Why do they do this? I can't wrap my head around cutting off a part of your public when they could play the game just fine.

I think they just tried the game on what's available to them, and don't want to risk being shouted at if for some reason the game doesn't run on weaker specs. That's my silly guess.

I hope some user reviews will reflect the actual specs.

Don't forget those are updated specs as of now.

Note that it is impossible to buy a GTX650 with 4gb vram - it doesn't exist

Specs situation is embarrassing given that this game came out on almost 10 year old hardware. I don't care how many times we have to go through it, until publishers start listening and getting it right they can deal with it.

Those are some Japanese ass Japanese system specs, I don't think most of those parts even exist. Maybe a few numbers or GB's of VRAM were lost or added in translation. Hope my old dirt i5-2500k and 7850 2GB will be alright.

Can someone invite me in the NeoGAF private group on Steam?
My Steam name is StratosGK.

They really want us to check for a price update every few hours....

I'm willing to bet my magnificent beard that the game will run on way more modest systems than the official minimum.

Also, like many people say elsewhere, sytem requirements don't mean much when they don't say what settings they used with those specs.
And lol at the 4 GB 650.

Given they are saying a 4GB 650 but only a standard 760 in the recommended which is only 2GB it must be a mistake. Plus he was playing it perfectly on that laptop at nearly 4K res. Obviously we don't know it's specs but unless it was SLI 980M's it should run very well especially when it runs at 60fps already on PS4/XB1 unlike the recent bad ports which are 30fps on consoles.

Don't worry about VRAM, guys, you'll be fine.

I listened to the publisher on The Evil Within, where they strongly recommended 4GB of VRAM and pretty much said that playing on a 2GB card was your own risk, so I was afraid my 680 wasn't up to the task and got it on PS4.

Guess what, it would both look and run better on my 2GB 680.

Don't believe their lies.

Plain old vsync is great if you can hit 60 FPS with no drops at all. It starts to be a problem when you drop below 60. With regular vsync, any drops below 60 (on a 60Hz monitor) will instantly put you to 30 FPS. There is no gradual stepdown. Triple buffering allows you to run without tearing at 45 FPS, 52 FPS, whatever, at the cost of some minor input latency.

Please note that some games automatically enable triple buffering once you turn on vsync even if they don't display the option. Serious Sam 3 does this.

A perfect solution to the tearing and input latency problem is G-SYNC. Man, I want a G-SYNC monitor. Someday!

Great explanation breh. Thanks! Is it already known if the game will include an option for triple buffering?

Just one thing to add to this: there are two different things which are generally called "triple buffering". The first is more accurately defined as adding a buffer to the renderqueue this always introduces additional latency, and is what most DirectX games do when you enable "triple buffering". The other, actual triple buffering, adds a third buffer so that there is always one available to render into, but always continues to render and always displays the most recent frame. This is what happens with desktop composition and borderless fullscreen.

So Borderless Fullscreen mode is basically an automatic"Triple Buffering Enabler" if I understand correctly. So basically, the idea is:

If a game supports an in-game option for V-Sync Triple Buffering: Apply it! And you could still go for Full Screen mode.
If a game does not support Triple Buffering (and you can't maintain a steady 60 FPS): Go Borderless Fullscreen Mode!
