Even psychologically, these are Japanese characters with Japanese voices picked by Japanese voice direction. It just fits perfectly together. For better or worse, we will always assume that the original voice is better.

To me, Miyano IS Ignis and that won't change.
 
Prompto and Gladiolous sound the best. Noctis's is interesting, not bad at all. Ignis's accent seems completely out of place to me and weird but alright.
 
As soon as this game comes to PC I'll mod Noctis to Sasuke. The similarities are just too good and not only the appearance I mean.

Noctis' eyes turn red when he's battling.

Sasuke activates his Sharingan which is mostly red when he's battling (most time)

I agree to an extent, tbh. There are a lot of things which I hate in JP dubs generally speaking, but which I guess make sense for its context/casting/audience. I can't say it's bad it's just something I'm not accustomed.

If I can avoid having to resort to subtitles + JP dubs then I'll take it, regardless of how crappy the EN one is.

Prompto and Gladioulus both sound okay. Everyone else...yeah. Didn't really care for Ignis's pompous english accent. Is the Gladioulus guy voiced by Travis Willingham?
 
Oh my god, these voices. :lol

The only one that has a fitting voice is Prompto. The others either sound forced or out of character. I hope the game comes out with the option to play with the japanese voices.
 
New God of War game features Noctis his mission is to crush all past Final Fantasy protagonists, secret boss will be Sora and in Kingdom Hearts 4, we will play as Noctis with Crystal Keyblades.
 
Sounds perfectly fine to me. I don't know what I am supposed to find so very offensive about any of it. They sound like the broadly drawn, caricatured party members I fully expect from any game in the series.
 
It's about as good as you could expect, I could get used to it.

My two hopes:
1. They lip sync the English voices to the animations. It just feels better when they actually look like they're talking my language.

2. Leave the Japanese voices + lip syncing as an option in the game. Just because more options = better.

They did lip syncing for the XIII trilogy. I can't imagine them not doing it for XV.

Lots of people seem to believe we'll get a dual audio option, but nothing confirmed yet.
 
Square is up there with Atlus when it comes to dubs...they generally pick solid VAs (FFXII had great talent...but an awwwffffuuuulll script).
Noctis is a little deeper than I expected but that's fine....I wonder what Soap Actor they got for him ala Cloud lol.

I still can't get over the retarded IRL looking car in a universe with as weird of flying aircraft as FFXV. This all just smells bad to me. FF Type-0 HD still holds my interest at least.

What is a "dude bro" voice? Does that just mean gravelly?
 
I'll wait and see how it sounds in the demo before judging, but I do wish SE would aim for more FFXII and less FFVII/XIII budget anime quality dubbing.
 
I think they couldn't make it in time for the TGAs but they still wanted to release an English trailer this year so they dropped it out of nowhere lol

A new trailer should be happening in a week at Jump Festa, am I right? So much info, monthly updates, this is heaven *0*
 
So I love trying to figure out voice actors and I've been working my way through the cast to try and put voices to names here's what I got so far:

Noctis: Matt McKenzie (or maybe Doug Erholtz)
Gladiolus: David Lodge (I'm almost positive on this one)
Prompto: James Arnold Taylor (not sure right now, need to do more digging)
Ignis: ???
