Do you need the nunchuk to play Wii games or just the Wii Remote Plus?
If the game needs a nunchuck, you need the nunchuck.
So you need it for, say, Metroid Prime 3 but not for NSMB Wii.

Depends on the game. A nunchuk is usually required though.
You can play punch out with the sideways wii remote layout. So no nunchuck required.Ok thanks. Would a game like Punchout require one?

Will we ever get past clipping in cut scenes? 20 years later it;s still an issue. It's impossible for me to take the drama of these scenes seriously when my character has a sword hilt passing through her facehead.
https://club.nintendo.com/link-shop-account.doOk, i've got a stupid question for you people. So i'm just thinking that once Nintendo drops another promo for Wii U games (well i hope one will drop eventually) where you are required to register your console and a game (like with Mario Kart) how do you do it without a pin card for your console, because i got none for it. I'm in the EU, console linked to the nnid, no promo before. I hope someone will understand my rambling![]()
I think it may be a case by case scenario. Infamous second son uses different save regions, I believe. Not sure about Driveclub. Are PS4 game saves region free?
For example, I have a US PSN account and I borrow a Driveclub PAL version from a friend. I I play the game, make some progress and create a game save under my US PSN account. No problems.
But what if I return the PAL version to my friend and buy a digital (or physical) US version of the same game. I want to play it under the same US PSN account I used to play the PAL version. Will the US version let me load the PAL game save and continue the progress I made in the PAL version?
I hope someone responds to this:
Isn't it fucking idiotic that this product

does not come with the cable necessary for it to function?
I mean, seriously, what the hell?!
My Vita's USB cable broke, and no where near me still sells them. Of course, I can order it online, but I don't want to pay $15 for a cable or wait weeks for it to ship.
That's pretty awful actually.
What PSVita model do you have? Original [1000 series] or Slim [2000 series]?
This might be a good alternative for an original

1000 white
Thanks for the link! That's actually a great price. I might go this route if I cant find a usb at a mom and pop video game store tomorrow. I'm dying without my vita ;(
If instead all you want is a usb replacement cable for an original, this is probably the cheapest to be had online

Monoprice cables are also good quality for the price. Offers free domestic standard shipping as well
lol if you hurry the DEC10 promo code still works and you can save a whole 13 more cents on the cable![]()
Yes, definitely.Has there been any game other than Mass Effect 2 and 3 to access previous saves to define the storyline/missions/dialogue with which you're presented?
What's the deal with the emulation community being seemingly slow?
It seems like the 3DS, 360 and PS3 are nowhere near even the beginning stages of emulation compared to previous generations.
It's as important as it's ever been to preserve some of these games now as the ever faster approaching digital future means that when servers are eventually shut down these games are GONE.
Just to add to that I think Dreamcast Shenmue 2 allowed that as well. I'm sure there are plenty more.Yes, definitely.
Ones that come to mind (however there are probably many more) are The Witcher 1--> The Witcher 2, Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 1--> Season 2, and Dragon Age: Origins ---> Dragon Age 2. Also, there's Mass Effect 1 of course lol.
Can someone tell me, what is this from?
Okay, so I theoretically have my Sennheiser HD 598s and an aux cord that acts as a mic. What do I need/need to do to set these up to my PS3?

Ron Perlman: "War. War never changes."
Snake: "War has changed."
HAS IT OR HASN'T IT!?
I don't have the most updated/optimized PC, but on top of that, Amazon in selling the PS360 version. I guess I'll have to check out the performance before I really decide. I can usually tolerate framedrops, but if it's too frequent then I could probably wait.I really like the first game, Mirror of Fate is good as well, it's pretty much Lords of Shadow on a 2D plane with more exploration.
However, the framerate in the console versions is awful, it can barely keep it at 30 with constant dips to 12-15 FPS.
So if your PC is at all capable of gaming, I'd recommend the PC version over any of the two console versions. For reference my Core2Duo E8500 /Radeon HD5870 combo can run the first game at what's pretty much a locked 60 at 1080p. It's kind of crazy how well optimized the PC port is.
Oh hey neat. Thanks a ton! That's Dick from Archeblade according to google's image search.
There aren't many good exclusive Mac games but these days it should be easy to find something to play. There are currently 884 games from GOG and 1386 games from Steam.I just bought a Mac. Whats the best thread for Mac gaming questions? I did search but had trouble finding one. Maybe Mac-gaming is an oxymoron.
Is it true that Shigeru Miyamoto has a twitter account but it's a super secret account that only his close friends have it?? It'll be awesome he can have a personal twitter or something so he can share selfies on his office while working idk.
nvmIn last week's Bombcast, I think it was Jeff that mentioned that at last E3, both Sony and Microsoft were fighting over who got a game at their press conference. It came down to the last hour and the ones that didn't get it felt slighted.
Anyone know what game they were talking about?
You can turn on the Wii U, select menu items, switch the menu with the wara wara plaza to show on tv with the pro controller. But I think it will also automatically turn on your wii u game pad as well when the system is turned on. You can go into settings and turn the game pad screen off but the pad will still be "on".If I get a Wii U Pro controller am I able to navigate the OS UI with it? Or do I have to use the gamepad? I ask this because with the Wii you still had to use the Wiimote for anything no in game. I'd like to just put the gamepad away in a drawer as I have no real intest in screen or games that require it.
