With everything said, that wife still deserves to know. That's the person who's cheating spouse is the true issue. Only thing he has done out of bounds so far is say he could destroy her career / get her fired. That was obviously ridiculous but he didn't actually go through it. May have been hyped up by GAF's scorched earth without the full story.

She was probably wrong, but the fact that you were going on dates just a couple months before tells me the relationships wasn't nearly strong enough to warrant the mess that followed. A few months of an up and down relationship ending=say peace and move on, not contemplating getting her fired and getting yourself involved in some other stranger's problems. Sounds way over the top.

yeah but in the back of her head she knows this relationship sucks. The other dude is an adult with kids and a failing relationship, something she relates to..hence their adult convos being nothing like yours. To her you're just a little kid filling in the gap.
