I haven't read this whole thread but are we all in agreement that grenades are over powered?
No. Grenades In all but halo 3 have been powerful.

O_O
I forgot to record my only good snapshot of the beta so far. Player was charging up for a ground pound and lined it up directly to my face. NOPE! lol
Is there a reason for a bunch of people camping and crouching? I've been in several different games now where at least one person is crouched in place 99% of the game, even during firefights.
I assume they're just playing the game wrong but wanna know if I'm missing anything.
Had to get off Zabant.
I'm not imagining things, right? Something about aiming in Halo 5 seems off. The aim acceleration, or the sensitivity between axes. I've only played a few games, but the aiming feels more like Halo 3 than Halo 2/A.
Way, way less aim assist.
Just as we found a match also, and we won!
Crouch shouldn't be toggled. Tired of seeing my own teammates crouching around a corner like this is cod.
To those that say the AR is OP, I disagree strongly. The AR finally has a place in the game instead of just being a gun that no one wants. The BR and DMR are still king. Nothing to see here.
Killing someone as they're charging up for a ground pound is always a blast, haha.

I was shooting someone with the pistol earlier and before I landed the head shot another player walked past him and pulled the recital of my gun to aim at the other player causing me to miss the shot.

Really do have to say I'm eating some crow on some of the "gimmicks" in the game. It's really satisfying getting kills with the ground pound move and killing someone trying to use it.
I'm also shocked at how much I'm liking the stabilizers. I had actually planned to just turn them off immediately but glad I decided to give them a go. Feature works really well and doesn't feel awkward at all.
Halo 2 has some of the strongest aim assist in any FPS I've ever played, so it's going to feel weird if you're coming straight from that to H5.
that's actually a tactic at pro level, stick together and keep weaving in and out of each other
Yeah, Halo 2 anniversary feels easy compared to this. (I really do enjoy H2:A though)
Just had this happen. So frustrating.Fuck anyone who starts the match and goes AFK for its entirety.

OH man, this is exactly what happens to me and is the reason why I'm not playing some much as I want.
Lag is unbearable. The game keeps connecting to distant data centers (probably one on the US), giving me huge disadvantages against those playing with very low pings.
343i needs to take a step back and think of their international customers. Data center selection is a must. TMCC and now the H5:B clearly shows that their systems is flawed.
If thid change doesn't come, I can't see myself buying H5. I really like the new game play mechanics, but I simply can't buy a game where I'll be in an unfair playing field for most of my matches.
One of my few snapshots in the game.

Toggle crouch is on by default, so lots of people clench and get stuck crouching. Also, radar is pretty killer so unfortunately playing really defensively makes a lot of sense.
Team just lost 46-50. Had a guy go 0-14 with 0 assists, and yes, he was actually moving around.

I know them feels...
This is exactly how I feel. I love the br, but now I always pick up one precision weapon and keep my ar. I really love the balance in this game... besides the smg. it needs more spread at a distance. I shouldn't be able to kill a guy at sword from red or blue 2. ar feels fine at a distance tho.
one last thing... thrust is awesome. I didn't think i would like it but i love it especially with jumps.
What am I doing wrong? I'm not able to get into a match at all. It's just sitting at the "Seting up slayer. Searching for players" screen and nothing happens. It's been like this since Monday, I've yet to be able to get into a match.
What's your NAT type? I was having some issues but I went through and adjusted my router to get me to an open NAT and I don't have any issues finding matches anymore.
Crouching does remove you from the radar.
Ugh, just when I said I was done. 19-0, perrrfection. If they fix the cheese trick with the default scheme (keep holding LT, never descoped) and they reduce the strength of the automatics a bit, then the game can be grand. Honestly, I think I can attribute my rage mostly to not knowing to where and whom I am connected.
So it seems like there is a bug in the X1 OS?
I did some googling and saw others having the same NAT problem as me. The solution was to change the start-up type from "instant on" to "energy saving"
I did that and rebooted the console, now my NAT type is open. But I want to use the instant on deal...
