So take this with a grain of salt but I'm seeing on twitter that this movie has now been split into two parts.

First part titled, Enter the Knight is coming this October 22\3

Second is Dawn of Justice coming on the March they already announced.

LIke I said take it with a grain of salt but holy shit if true. Could be true considering there was a 10 month long shoot for the movie which is ridiculous.

The only releases on October 23 are Jem and The Last witch hunter. Not sure the size of those movies.

Edit: I wrote Oct 22 it was the 23, my fault. 23 is a Friday.

Calling bullshit

Probably not true, but I could buy it. Filming wrapped almost a year ago and October is 10 months from know, which is plenty of time to get things put together for a part one. Plus since this movie is more or less the reveal of the greater DCCU maybe they dont want one movie to feel condensed/rushed so they're instead just making it 2 parts so everything is fleshed out a bit more? Or maybe
WB wants to get a little piece of the 2015 pie since Disney is going to make a haul this year

Enter the Knight sounds like a porn

Man of Steel: Enter the Knight sounds like a bigger one

Man of Steel alone sounds like one

What if the movie is very good and it needs it?

Dark Knight Rises wouldn't have been improved by splitting it in two. We also have no idea, really, how long Terrio's script is, or what's even going on in the story.

I don't think they consider how the Dark Knight Rises rolled out a mistake, either. Or at least, the things that caused that film to perform below their expectations weren't directly related to scheduling/marketing.

They've casted the whole Justice League for it, Superman needs a big arc as well as Batman, WW needs to be introduced, They seemingly have 3 villains. This script is no joke.

Again, you don't actually KNOW how big the script is, or how it's paced. It's possible the script is a tight-as-hell 130 pages and still manages to do everything you said in a very entertaining fashion,

There is no way they would just drop this out of the blue.

Nah, surely they'd have announced it already if this were true?

What if it was always an option but they wanted to wait until filming had wrapped to see how it played as a two part film? They wrapped production in November, they could have a really rough cut done by late December and now they're given it the go ahead.

While I can think of much stranger things than splitting BvS into two parts, it seems more than a bit implausible for (a) Part 1 to come five months before the announced release date, and (b) for there to be only a five-month gap between parts.

Wasn't that the approximate gap between Matrix: Reloaded and Matrix: Revolutions?

That's another thing. I can't think of any split movies that released within mere months of each other. I've always seen year long gaps. Maybe it has happened, I don't know, but I haven't heard of it so I assume even if it has happened it's really uncommon.

I'm not buying it. Would be amazing though and make more sense.

Part 1: Batman vs Superman fight + WW at the end
Part 2: Trinity vs Brainiac or Luthor

Well I'd take it to mean it's currently a mess and this is their attempt to fix it. That's if it's true which is doubtful.

If it was truly that big of a mess, why split it up and showcase the mess twice? Remember, there is a lot of money riding on this first film being good. So many other movies are going to depend on it.

I added some dates:

I could seriously dig that.

Enter the Knight?!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha that sounds just stupid enough to be real.

As far as trying to tie themselves in with the Nolan trilogy I could totally see them putting 'Knight' in the title.
