I don't mind them adding changes for casuals--I'd actually like for the scarecrow to call you over and make his importance very clear to the player on the first cycle--but I hope they have a hard mode where the old save system is in tact. And let us choose it when we first boot up the game, not after beating it once.
Lol okay. I played the game and feel the save system added to it since if you messed up something in a cycle, that was it, no second chance, you had to play the song of time and try again. It tested your ability to manage your time, plan out your route, and get as much done in a cycle as possible.
With perma-saves whenever you want, you could just retry all you like with no consequence, removing any pressure you may have had or close calls with the timer. It's so satisfying to get a ton of stuff done in a cycle, head to a dungeon late in the cycle, and defeat the boss with just a few hours remaining, but only because of the pressure the timer and save system impose on you.
