In the UK, lots of mobile phones from carriers do not come with a charger. That's still annoying but then I have 4 USB-AC chargers now, so don't really need more.so you quoted the guy instead of PMing him?

it's a dumb decision. I can't think of any other electronic device that doesn't come with a charger that doesn't use AA/AAA batteries.
Of course if Nintendo actually used a standard USB design, this would be far easier to take because they're ubiquitous but instead this would require cable sharing or outright re-purchase.
Annoying, but hey, it'll clearly be on the box and gives consumers the option of using their existing cable, but it would be nice for Nintendo to use standard USB cables on their devices in future.
