Well they do deserve some blame. I mean, remember Target with its Rosalina pre-orders that had no limit and they didn't do anything to resolve those that put in an order of like 20 (at least not that I know of)

Worth a shot. My experience in dealing with Gamestop on the phone has usually resulted in jack squat. Just a whole lot of "sorry for the inconvenience".

Toon Link is supposed to arrive today, and Sonic tomorrow, from Amazon US. They've delayed my Mega Man order indefinitely... I hope it still goes through. Based on what other AmiiboGAFers have said, if I haven't heard anything by 2/20, I'll try to nab one in-store at Best Buy.

Yeah, but I changed my post to mention Skull Barrier, which Mega Man also has in Smash. It's definitely that. ;)

Upon further deliberation, it seems the light blur alt does indeed resemble Air Shooter, it's just that the artwork looks a darker blue than it should. I looked in my MM25 Official Complete Works book, and it looked like this:

Edit: Then again, it really could be Gemini Laser, Skull Barrier, Ice Slasher, pretty much at least one light blue in almost every game.

That screenshot is from Mega Man's initial E3 reveal, right? When Sakurai played as him against a Treehouse rep's Mario? If so, those are just Mega Man's default colors. Almost sure the light blue scheme is the Skull Barrier/Gemini Laser one.

Then again, his joints in that color scheme are yellow, same as in the official Air Shooter art... so it may be a case of it being supposed to be Air Shooter, but they got the coloration a bit wrong in the game!
 
I don't know if I should preorder the Super Mario Collection. We don't even know, how many amiibo will end up in that collection. Waluigi and Wario? Probably. Gumba and Koopa Troopa? Maybe.

Yeah, ever since I heard a retailer say Nintendo promised them 50 units and then changed it to 3 ... I am inclined to believe Nintendo overpromised on units and then changed their mind.
Yet people give them a free pass and go after the retailers. It gives me a headache.

Yeah, it's really not on the retailers and I really don't think it's on Nintendo either but the port strike itself.

Wasnt Rosalina confirmed as well? I keep hearing that they will be "abundant" but who knows at this point.I Personally feel that for the most part, most of them will indeed be common.

You should pre order them by asking yourself this question first .do you think there will be an instance in which a character from the Super Mario series will be as rare as one from the Smash Bros series? (EX like another Holy Trinity situation?)

I mainly just cited the pic for the sprite, because I couldn't find just that. So much confusion with these outfits, haha!

Let's just say it's all of 'em, why not!

Well it's neogaf rules to start a new threat at 20k posts. Don't know the origin though.

The port strike has been going since before November. Other companies get things through, and I doubt just Bowser happened to get through the ports.

On saturday, my target got like 12 rosalinas, 4 sheiks, and still have Bowser on the shelf. Their percentages are still off where some characters flood the shelves and others dont last the first day.

I believe it was done to prevent server issues , giants threads do take up a lot of data and it seems pretty reasonable as well as it works well with regenerating a discussion

No she was not confirmed. We just had speculation. Could turn out to be false speculation. Who knows. It's most likely happening though.

Doesn't look like much else has gone on today, haven't felt like ordering a Toon Link at that markup. Hope the Wave 4's go up soon.
 
Two of my three parcels from Japan (that I ordered last week) are at the Post Office, so I'll pick them up tomorrow. The third must still be chillin' in customs. So tomorrow, I should get two of these three:

Rosetta & Chiko (which is for sale/trade)
Ike
Meta Knight

Curious to see who shows up.

I paid mine off when I picked up Bowser. Everything but Toon Link and Mega Man (because I had them ordered at TRU online).

Haven't heard from them about any delays. Hell, the only thing I've picked up so far is Bowser.

We're waiting for the exact same Amiibos except Ike (which is out since mid-january)...

As far as I know, Sonic, Megaman, Shulk, Dedede and Metaknight aren't out in Europe. The official release date is 20th of february. The place I preordered most of them just updated my account and say they'll probably release them on 19th.

Yeah but it's still not confirmed yet. It's still speculation that came from the fact that they were showing the amiibo party part of the game and they noticed both her and Donkey Kong had different play piece models. Is it going to happen? Most likely but there's still a possibility it won't so until then, it's speculation.

My local gamestop called me today to let me know i can come in store to pre-order the Mario Party wave, they called me since I have a shulk pre-order through them.

I asked them some things. For what it's worth, i'll share my findings which aren't really much that isn't already known, but it is some further confirmation if anyone cares:

- can pre-order the mario party wave in-store, I already have toad pre-ordered on amazon though and i'm not going to bother pre-ordering any of the others as I'm just not that interested in those alternate poses, though I may cave if I see them in person :)
- confirmed no street date for shulk and they will call me as soon as they get it, which could be earlier than the 13th. he cited the 8th as a possible day but that's not a guarantee
- asked about the 3ds trade-in offer and if it had been extended to the 15th and he was fully aware of it and said yes, so I can get my MM 3DS XL on the 13th or 14th (i chose one day shipping), do the transfer at home, bring in the old system and get the full trade in value of $100 -- as long as it includes a charger, which it will since I bought a brand new "New 3DS" branded charger today at Target :P

So yeah all-in-all a super knowledgeable guy, wish all gamestop employees were so up on their game. he knew all about amiibo, new 3ds, the pre-order situations, everything.

I don't think the preorders are open yet in almost all shops except a couple that probably list them but haven't even been able to secure an order (Nintendo UK Online shop and Amazon UK are the only big ones that opened the preorders as far as I know)
 
My Toon Link just shipped from Amazon today.

Got emails that Mega Man from Amazon and Ike from Gamestop are both delayed. No word on Shulk from Gamestop.

Speaking of the new 3ds, has the regions out of Japan gotten the amiibo update for Smash and the system yet? Or did the system already come with the update and all that's missing is the Smash update for these regions?
