What the fuck happened in here
It's a discussion board, deal with it. People like to analyze things and talk about what could be improved, what could've been done better. This is why I don't like simple scales of yes or no. I actually read a review and decide if it sounds like it would be worth the money. More often than not I decide for myself, but I'd rather not waste time on a game that might have certain things I know I don't like. It's not about being a score whore, you're being too cut and dry and defensive over your game.
Not defensive, just think the hypocrisy of console warriors is funny. They want to rag on people for "trying to take a game down", when in reality a lot of us "concern trolls" have legitimate concerns, the defense force is just doing anything they can to ignore the flaws. I've stated time and time again I'm excited for the game, I'm buying it, but I'm still not positive this is going to be a great game, I expect a good solid game, but I also wouldn't be shocked if we got an utterly average/mediocre game with excellent production values.
I also happen to love driveclub, but it's far from perfect, and the hyperbole from the fans about that particular game is ridiculous. I've seen many come into that thread and make legimtiate criticisms and they get absolutely chased away as trolls.
Just laying down the groundwork for the review thread. What the fuck happened in here
It's still warring opinions because it's both sides are trying to discredit the other person's opinion by discrediting the person. Just like you pointed out, they're calling you a "concern troll", and you calling them a "console warrior." She how that works? Yes, it's annoying when you know you're just giving your honest opinion on the matter, but at the same time, how would a stranger know your intent? A lot of the time, they don't, so they just lump you into a bracket that best supports their point of view....and vice versa.
By all means, discuss away. Just don't go try shoving your opinion down people's throats. Thank you.
I think your problem is, you are minimizing the criticism that Driveclub or TheOrder gets.. look through the threads and you will see. Because so many concerns have been 'concern trolls' in those threads that people can't tell the difference between REAL concerns VS. 'concern trolls".
No one is trying to IGNORE the problems.. people want to talk about real problems but we get sidetracked by 'concern trolls' with crazy talks like the 1.5 hour game length, and etc. So for you to criticize the 'defense' force but not acknowledge the problems of the threads... is ridiculous.
No I'm not. I've already said that stuff exists and that's equally as embarrassing. However just because a handful of trolls will do something like this (they exist on all sides btw), you can't write out negative opinions as such. If you want to shoot down my opinions that's fine, I'll do what I can to back them up. I have legitimate concerns about this game still. I also think there's a reason this game has earned it's "gameplay" running joke in the way RAD handled a lot of the media. You have a right to disagree, but I see a lot of where that's coming from. Take the e3 demo for instance, which I came away with a big smile which again is why I said I'm getting this regardless of reviews/impressions just like driveclub. You start in a fire fight, which was fun you get a feel for the gunplay and how amazing the visuals pull you in to the fight. However after a few kills you're in a on rails section in which you can die in one shot, fine UC had plenty of this. Then it goes to a cut scene of you going into a room where you awkwardly walk around. Then there's a cutscene, albeit interactive, of you blowing up the tanker thing or w/e (sorry been a while since I've watched the videos/played it). Then it blows up and it shows you going out in a cutscene. You're engaged in 30 seconds to a minute of fighting, and then there's another interactive cutscene of you looking through the spyglass. The gameplay was so broken up in that part, I get how that would give the impression that you play in quick bursts then cutscenes.
I can't believe people are spoiling themselves on the ending. What a shame.
The Order = Obamai dont get the obama jokes

I saw it mentioned in the other black bars order thread and I peaked really quick at the spoiler thread and when I saw the ending being discussed I quickly got out before I saw anything. STAY OUT OF THE SPOILER THREAD. Although seems like people are tagging their spoilers.. im glad I didnt see anything but damn I dont know why I went in there lol.Really? Damn that's dumb. Wonder why... Where are people looking at this :O
The Order = Obama
People who like the game = Liberals
People who hate the game = Conservatives
The divide is real.
Well, I just heard that the ending was aOh boy, I really want to check it out to see whether or not it's trueQTE fight and somehow pretty weak![]()
Someone called in Driveclub Part 2. .
When did I shove my opinion down anybodys throat in this thread or any other? Seriously because I'll pull up my last discussion about the game where numerous people called me out as a troll trying to bring the game down. I debunked that with my e3 impressions of the game, and furthermore posted why I think the idea of reviewers more and more are shooting games down is absurd.

Lol the defense force in this thread is too much. I get some of what you say, but sometimes people actually believe what they write, not everybody is a console warrior.
Right, but we know it's false anyway from multiple people here. Not even sure why anyone is still talking about it.
I've criticised the game aplenty, and I haven't even played it.
With that being said, there's a difference between criticism, both well-founded or stupid (lack of next gen gameplay) and the FUD we've been seeing in regards to the length of the game.
I 100% agree that the marketing up until PSX for this game was very flawed. Thankfully the impressions so far have made it sound like you're in control for much more extended periods of time than the early footage would suggest, especially as the game goes on. Everything they showed before PSX were tutorial sections in a cinematic game, which almost invariably have significantly more scripting and cut scene interruptions than standard moment to moment play.
I love posting there, but man, the Giant Bomb community thread is REALLY down on the game. Someone called in Driveclub Part 2. I won't give an opinion (positive or negative) until I actually get the game in my hands. I think too many people nowadays make up their minds even before things (movies, games, etc.) come out. However, if you're really, really bothered about what people are saying about the game, just ignore them. It's an opinion. Just remember, even if this get's good reviews, detractors will still (and always will) be out there posting negative things. On the flip side, if this gets bad reviews, there will still (and always will) be ardent fans. That's just video game fandom. If you enjoy the game, that's all that should really matter.
As you wishPlease don't post spoiler shit in here( about the fucking ending, no less). For fuck's sake.
How you getting it on Monday?Gotta love the order threads.. anyway can't wait to pick this up on Monday!
How you getting it on Monday?

A handful of trolls unfortunately derail entire threads. If we are meant to ignore them, you to can ignore the idiots who want you gone for posting constructive criticism.
Well, when you said things like this:
People did respond to you because they were responding to false information and were clarifying it with you and you took it as a personal attack on your opinion:
Thats sweet. I wish there was a place like that around here. The only place outside of EB, Walmart and Target, are retro game places that don't get new games.Local game store is getting their shipment in on Monday, it's a mom and pop shop so they break street dates.
We need to stay strong. So close now. I have managed to avoid almost all spoilers except for the odd non tagged spoiler ITT.Yeah man I know how you feel. I too just clicked the spoiler thread because of this tugging sensation in my fingers towards the thread...didn't see anything thankfully! Besides maybe in the Black Bar thread :-/ There was one thing I saw in the spoiler thread but I didn't feel spoiled. I felt more hyped.
This thread has gone to shit.
Not even Obama could save it.This thread has gone to shit.

This thread has gone to shit.
Sorry, but I doubt the mods are banning people for "genuine opinions." They might have a history of said "genuine opinions."
Like every other The Order thread :|This thread has gone to shit.
I ignore it a lot of the time, but it's unfortunate, that sort of mentality is allowed on a discussion board, since I've seen people bullied out of threads and even banned for what seemed like a genuine opinion to me, even in cases that I disagreed with them.
I didn't say it was in this thread, I'm saying the amount of work being done to make sure any sort of negative opinion is either explained away or flat out wrong is humorous to me that's all. I was responding to the 1.5 hour thing which I agree is absurd. HOWEVER the person who I originally quoted was saying the game would still probably take 8 or more hours even if you were rushing it if I remember right. I was trying to clarify that the guy who claimed the game was absurdly short, was not saying the overall length of the game was 1.5-2.5 hours, but instead that over half of the time is spent watching cutscenes, which if you do out the math comes out to around 6-8 hours long.
I think 6-8 is doable, but who really thinks otherwise? 6-8 would be anywhere from 4 to 5 times what the guy said, which is pretty embarrassing. I don't know why anyone would say something like that unless they were a liar or an asshole.
and again here:I think he was implying the game is about 6 or more hours, but less than half of that is spent plaYing the game.

I just remember one in particular where people were getting dropped left and right in the DC thread, and one of the mods came in and posted that basically none of the negativity would continue. Even regulars of the thread said we don't want to come off as bullies or just banning people for opinions.
Like every other The Order thread :|
Destiny was multi-console, so probably not.Has Destiny threads ever been this bad? Jeez
boomCops have used it for years.
