Eh, he's not anti-intellectual at all while he's fucking around so it's all relatively harmless and fun. Not for everyone though I guess.
That's key imo, and why i like him.
Yes, there's a lot of stuff he doesn't know but he always seems enthusiastic about learning new stuff or asks questions when he doesn't know things.

Throwing my voice into the ring as well. I love Drew, I think he is legitimately a cool dude. But Jason fits so much better on the podcast, and he brings some enthusiasm for some games that the other duders typically are ambivalent towards.
Not saying I never want Drew on, because where else where we get our military sim, F1, being an athletic blonde demigod news?
But yeah, standard should be Jason.

Jason has a near Jeff level of knowledge but the guy actually has enthusiasm for a wide range of games. He is a good dude in my book.

Let's be clear....Dan is probably one of the least intelligent people to which I've been exposed. He is super entertaining, though. He's also a good of example of a person who can be successful, despite not being particularly intelligent. He just has a lot of determination and willpower and bends the world to his success. In some ways it is admirable and in some ways it is infuriating. It's cool to be along for the ride, though.
I look forward to starting this Bombcast on my run today and seeing what mess he's gotten himself into this week.
He is the Homer Simpson to the world's Frank Grimes.

It seems like Drew barely talks anyway so there's no reason both he and Jason couldn't both be on. The times Drew actually has something gaming related to discuss are few and far between.
I think beyond them preferring the four man format, I think they need to have at least one video guy editing at all times.

He's the perfect example of someone being Intelligent but has no common sense.

He's the perfect addition to Giant Bomb and without him the site would be pretty barren. It's baffling to me how these threads constantly turn into conversations about who should and shouldn't be on the podcast, as if we have any power or right to say so.
I love Jason too, I think he's great. But I think Drew, adds to the conversation as much as anyone, even if it's not in pure volume on a week by week basis. As well, Jason is gradually in more and more content on the site, which I think is great.

Honestly, I think we're all just pining for a Vinny comeback. He was impossible to replace.

Because you don't agree with it and that's fine. I bought my Ps4 for quality exclusives,the type I expect from Sony harking back to the ps1. The ps4 is really poor this gen and a lot of people feel that way, a real lot of people. It's not hard to see why peeps like Jeff and Brad share that opinion too.

I definitely agree. Drew is awesome but he doesn't seem to play a lot of games and when he does he barely talks about them. He'll say something super short about it without even explaining mechanics or how it works.

I bought my Ps4 for quality exclusives,the type I expect from Sony harking back to the ps1.
I have a PC so this is why I got a ps4 as well.
I would guess is that we're in the minority on this point. Theres like 22 million sales of the thing now, If we're just guessing here, 18 million of those are because its a more powerful box than the other boxes available.
The ps4 is far and away the #1 console this gen and if it's in "trouble", then nintendo and microsoft might as well just stop trying

Seriously, the PS4 has sold a fourth of the PS3's lifetime sales in a year and a half. I think it will be fine.
They said there are plenty of good games to play. But the big tentpole releases published by Sony (and to an extend MS) are disappointing compared to the last two generations, in quantity and/or quality. So it's not as exaggerated as some of you understood it.
It is a rather good and positive FF conversation for their standards, listen to it. Jason is someone who keeps up with current JRPGs.

Someone recently posted the old office video they recorded when MS dropped DRM the in the GB thread and Jeff pretty much had the exact same response then as well.
Pretty funny.
Sony should probably sort its 1th party out though. A game getting delayed isnt a bad thing but when EVERY game gets delayed its a sign some things need to be done differently.

Sony First Party isnt making any AAA games that Jeff wants to play and everything gets delayed.

Who else besides persona does teens save the world well. There are games that are good and have that trope, but who else makes that trope work for them?Hearing the Bomb guys talk about JRPGs always makes me laugh. Brad saying that Persona is the only game that can pull off the Teens Save the World trope clearly just shows he hasn't played too many JRPGs outside of Final Fantasy. That's not a criticism of him, of course. You can't be expected to be fluent in every genre out there, but still funny. Yes the trope is very worn, and tired, at this point, but many series outside of the SMT stuff can still pull it off.
Also Jeff trying to explain Fabula Nova Crystalis was the best. It's even stupider than he gave it credit for. Nothing about these games' universe is shared at all. It just refers to SE using similar ideas and themes in all 3. God that thing was stupid. It's so damn esoteric that it's no surprise that the idea never actually came to fruition.
Listening to Jeff describe the assiness of Hardline was truly sublime.
It was especially great after having watched that Quick Look that made the campaign just look like complete dogshit.

Haven't really listened to it yet, but i don't see how much dumber it can get. It's not like we need a disclaimer that the people we listen to don't have to be taken seriously in any capacity. People agitated about Dan, could take it in their own hands,actually walk to him, and confront him about the horrors of the world with details about north-korean death camps, but then you could do it with a more general crowd than just this one guy you listen to.
