Eminem has no classics, sorry. I'm a big fan of him and even try to defend his recent imputs, but he just doesn't have a classic album.
I can understand the debate wheter Kanye's two first albums are classics or not, they are not critically acclaimed and there are some misses here and there. But Lupe? Come on, F&L and The Cool are classics by all standards imaginable.

Nothing is perfect, I just can't listen to MMLP and SSLP back to back like the other ones discussed here.

MMLP/Eminem Show were highly regarded. Not sure about SSLP.
You don't have the monopoly of the definition of a classic, neither do I. I just don't consider none of his album classics, even though I LOVE MMLP. And just for the record The Eminem Show is better than SSLP.

Outkast released Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, ATLiens and Aquemini all within 4 years. All classics IMO. Kendrick has dropped 3 in a row if you include Section.80 (which I do).
Just finally got into TPAB. Unfuckingbelievable so far. Still going to give it a few more listens and let the whole album sink in. The end of Mortal Man gave me chills.

Easily. Was going to list it but the Massacre is generally seen as a disappointment everywhere I go.
In My Lifetime released in between.

Yea southernplaya, ATLiens and Aquemini are still the gold standard here.
Reasonable Doubt + Hard Knock Life are pretty up there as back to back releases.

Yeah I wouldn't really call his follow up a classic really, lol.
But he went #1 Billboard on his debut and his follow up in the same year. First solo artist to do that IIRC.
Classic or not, I liked section 80 more than GKMC
agreed all day. feels more cohesive as an album to me, surprisingly enough.
I hold Rock Bottom dearly, but these 3 tracks alone make The Eminem Show better for me:

I'm not arguing SSLP vs Eminem Show. I'm just saying SSLP has a lot of amazing tracks.
Kept chasing club hits or singles. Still like the Massacre personally.

Finally got this on CD from HMV for $10 (thanks Canada!) and now listening to it on repeat several times.
I'm glad that this will be one of those albums people will still talk about 50 years from now, so many things going on it's chaotic and yet Kendrick keeps it grounded and tight somehow. It is insane.
I hope we can experience another album like this in the near future.
I also feel bad for Kendrick cause he'll have a hard time topping this one.
