Eminem

Heck 3 imo with Eminem Show

Eminem has no classics, sorry. I'm a big fan of him and even try to defend his recent imputs, but he just doesn't have a classic album.

I can understand the debate wheter Kanye's two first albums are classics or not, they are not critically acclaimed and there are some misses here and there. But Lupe? Come on, F&L and The Cool are classics by all standards imaginable.

No doubt that Eminem is one of the all time greats.. but I don't consider any of his albums as being classics.

It depends on what your definition of classic means, but his albums has way too much filler.

Outkast released Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, ATLiens and Aquemini all within 4 years. All classics IMO. Kendrick has dropped 3 in a row if you include Section.80 (which I do).

Just finally got into TPAB. Unfuckingbelievable so far. Still going to give it a few more listens and let the whole album sink in. The end of Mortal Man gave me chills.

King Kendrick :bow

I agree that Kendrick is 3-in, Section 80 is amazing and really impacted the way I viewed the genre (only cared about bangers and good beats).

Cultural impact, but agreed with the bolded.

MMLP/Eminem Show were highly regarded. Not sure about SSLP.
Considering this, would you say Get Rich or Die Trying is a classic?

Yea southernplaya, ATLiens and Aquemini are still the gold standard here.

Reasonable Doubt + Hard Knock Life are pretty up there as back to back releases.

SSLP:

Guilty Conscience
If I Had
'97 Bonnie and Clyde
Role Model
Rock Bottom
Just Don't Give a Fuck
Bad Meets Evil
Still Don't Give a Fuck

come on guys

Easily. Was going to list it but the Massacre is generally seen as a disappointment everywhere I go.

The Massacre is a wreck and disappointed me greatly. Get Rich or Die Trying was the first album I've ever bought and that shit blew me away.

It's unbelievable how the mighty have fallen, he had the game on lock and just kept sabotaging himself.

I hold Rock Bottom dearly, but these 3 tracks alone make The Eminem Show better for me:

Cleaning Out My Closet
Sing for The Moment
Till I Collapse

Finally got this on CD from HMV for $10 (thanks Canada!) and now listening to it on repeat several times.

I'm glad that this will be one of those albums people will still talk about 50 years from now, so many things going on it's chaotic and yet Kendrick keeps it grounded and tight somehow. It is insane.

I hope we can experience another album like this in the near future.

I also feel bad for Kendrick cause he'll have a hard time topping this one.
