So no fog doors anymore, huh? Good to know...

Don't use any blood vials until you get the hang of that enemy?

That's not the problem, the problem is the game auto refilling my stock of them after I die. It's probably really helpful once I have blood vials falling out of the wazoo later in the game, but at the beginning when you're probably going to die with 15-20 vials/bullets in your possession and only have 15-20 in storage, it's a little bothersome.

The game has been truly great so far, but the new systems make what were minor annoyances in the Souls games big problems in this one. I was exploring the sewers in the first area when I noticed a giant pig walking down a tunnel. I wanted to get a good look at it, so I waited on the ladder beside the tunnel and then climb once it got too close. The pig started charging so I started climbing, but the pig's head clipped through the wall behind the ladder and killed me. I past games this would have been a minor annoyance, but in this game it means all of the blood echoes I had at the time are now gone forever because there's no way I can kill that thing.

I also think they should have had a different enemy guarding the bridge instead of those two big dogs. The way they were pacing was a big clue to stay away, but they looked so similar to the dog in the beginning that I thought nothing of it, only to then have it bite me in the ass forcing me to loose all of my blood echoes.

I guess it doesn't really matter since it's not like I can level up yet anyways, but it still sucks.

Oh, and the gun sucks. I have no idea why I would ever use the damn thing when my whip deals more damage and has similar range.

WTF UPS still hasn't arrived with my collector's edition. Tracking says it should arrive by 8:00PM today, which is 7 minutes from now. But it's been "Out For Delivery" since 5:00AM this morning.

Started Bloodborned earlier today going Military Veteran with the Cane. Could not kill anything :( After an hour I switched to Violent Past and Hunter Axe and holy shit was it a night a day difference. I could take on multiple enemies at a time and had no issue. Guess, I'll be going STR instead this playthrough, was able to 1 shot the first boss so I guess this is working for me

Those dog things on the bridge after you go through the big guy. Am I just supposed to skip that and take the hidden path? I always get far and die from an enemy.

A couple molotovs will nearly take those wolves out. that being said, as you said the hidden path bypasses them altogether.

hey guys, under the Blood Echo logo there's an eye, and I have 4 of these

what are these?, and how can I use them?, do they disappear when I die?

So I restarted to try an arcane build, and by the time I cleared out the sewers I had 39 vials and 40 bullets in storage with 20 of each on my character. Can't tell if I just got lucky or if the discovery stat is just that good.

I'm 3 bosses in and I feel pretty confident that the game is a masterpiece. I can't get over how fun and interesting it is. Lots of interesting story mysteries too.

Surprise post-death spoiler (happens 3 bosses in.)
I got killed by an enemy and woke up in a place called the unseen city. Huge difficulty spike. I'm clearly not supposed to be here, but it's so creepy and exciting. This is where the Cthulu stuff seems to kick in. That area hides the Darkbeast Paarl fight. Any thoughts?
Yep, this is what I was just posting about. Totally unsettling and awesome. Loved the music. Oddly enough, I found the lamppost, teleported out of there, but now can't return to that lamp post. I guess I have to get killed again by that guy to go back there?

First Dark Souls game. So far I'm not feeling it. It's hard for no reason. I just wiped out 10 guys no problem, then I get mopped by a dude with a torch because one shot didn't connect. Why does every trip back repopulate every enemy? I probably just suck at this. I'm going to keep playing with a hopeful expectation of a eureka moment where this just clicks.

I want to play more but I didn't get much sleep last night. Game is amazing though. I've played all the Souls games and got my ass kicked a few times. Felt good. I think I have a good handle on everything now. It was actually nice getting lost for an hour. That never happened with Dark Souls II, haha.

Sort of off-topic but have any of you uploaded any videos to Facebook recently? I uploaded two of the boss fights but only the second video is showing up on Facebook. The first one took forever to upload but it did say it uploaded alright. I would think it's processing but it's been almost two hours now. Did Facebook eat my video?

Still stuck on the first section. Anyone have tips?
If you're stuck on the bridge wolves,
go left instead of right in the fountain courtyard. There's a hidden passage that unlocks a few shortcuts and provides a safer way to the boss. Also, molotov cocktails fuck up the wolves if you want to face them head-on.

How can you tell what kind of magic is being used? I'm assuming electricity is bolt magic, so is all other magic arkane? For instance, something purple with skulls that doesn't poison.

Is blood always guns?

Just got to the second boss
Father
and he absolutely destroyed me after he
transformed

Any tips?

Use molotovs when he's around 1/4 health. Also, find the music box, play it to briefly stun him and use that time to dump in damage. Finally. at the start of the fight he is really easy to counter shot.

Beat the first boss on my 1st try. Feel pretty good about that. Wondered around some after before calling it a night. I really want to play more, but I need a break before I go to bed lol. Intense stuff.

The game has a difficulty curve, no doubt. It takes time for it to "click". When it does, you will have the time of your life.

They exist!

Yes, but it isn't refilling any if you die with 20 in your possession.

Going through Vaati lore videos, god damn. I hope Bloodborne has some good ass lore like the souls game (I never played any before).

. . from level 30 to 31(or just high up levels) how many blood echoes is needed to channel?

Is there a way to turn off the game auto refilling your blood vials/bullets to 20 every time you die? Because I want to keep them in storage, not lose everything I've accumulated so far when I know I'm going to be fighting something that will probably kill me a few times until I get the hang of it. And going back to the hub and storing the excess vials/bullets is getting tiresome. (And I've only had to do it twice!)

Just don't use them. If you're full all the new vials you find will automatically go to storage

Oh man beat the Cleric Beast on my 2nd try. That was very intense having to fight the boss and the camera. I had no blood vials left and thought I was gonna die. I whacked with all my might XD

I love this game soooo much!! It really lives up to the hype!

You're not losing anything. If you die with 20, you still have those 20. If you die with 7, you get 13 from storage and still have those 7. If you have 19 and pick up 2, 1 goes into storage. It's just automating that for you.

Fought the cleric many times and getting my ass kicked. Quitting for now. Fuck From for making the first boss that hard.

Tips
Try to hug its legs, preferably on the left side. He tends to swing with his right alot so dodging to the left should get you in the clear. Watch out for when he lifts his left hand, he'll try to grab you when he does. If you have a pistol, aim for his head. Hitting him twice in the head will stagger. He's also weak to fire so molotovs work real well here.

I played for 2 hours and most of the time could barely get past the first big group of enemies. When I did I would get killed on the bridge. I feel like I've barely completed the tutorial. My timing feels all off. I can't dodge or counter shit.

Oh. OH. OH SHIT. I thought for some reason the Vials/Bullets were like the Blood Echoes, and you lost them every time you died. Dude. OH. That makes so much more sense now.

Okay ive been playing the game for around 2 and a half hours and still havent got to the cleric beast is that normal

Depends on how much you explore and how much you die. I'm at a little over 1 hour and haven't seen him yet. Although I feel like I've made progress opening up shortcuts.

ill try this again because this moves too fast:

So I've defeated the first three bosses
(the third being the poison monster), anyone know where i should go next? Is it the gate where I need to buy the emblem from the shop?

Also, how do I open the door at the top of the workshop? The place you get to after taking the elevator in the cathedral ward?

Anyone else have like a bunch of molotovs in your storage but they wont repopulate your inventory? I have like 29 in storage but 0 on me and I can't figure out how to transfer them into my inventory
