I give up. I find my cousin more sexually attractive than my GF and she dumps me?

Fucking GAF, never change.

Like begging your cousin to FB friend you wasn't bad enough, you had to tell her she was sexier than your girl. That's hilarious.

What a fucking weird, apathetic pair of viewpoints.

This doesn't come off as harmless at all.

You sound like those prank channel folks.

"Hey, as long as we yell out it was a prank at the end of the video, everything should be OK"

Um, okay. I personally think it's a mean joke. I don't like it, but I'm just saying some couples make mean jokes to each other all the time and don't take it personally. The poster asked how else it could have been taken, and I'm saying some people could have taken it as a stupid harmless joke, because some people do actually do that. I've heard girlfriends tease their boyfriend's timing in bed and boyfriends tease about their girlfriend's small breasts. That's personally too volatile of a relationship for me, but like I'm saying, different strokes for different folks.

" And also, you are sexually more attractive than her, LOL"

If your cousin is asking you to give her a good reason to add you on FB, there must be more to this story than you're giving off. Why would she even hesitate? Unless the kind of horsing-around relationship you explained earlier wasn't something she reciprocated and you just never realized it.

So, for those of us just joining you guys

What was the original one?

I'm curious also.

The question is, would she have broke up with him if it was just a random girl? So if yes, does it matter? I mean it was a harmless tease, so I don't get the fuss.

I don't know any cousins.

He said his cousin is more sexually attractive than his girlfriend.

He said his COUSIN is more sexually attractive than his girlfriend.

The difference here is that the joke you made was at the expense of your girlfriend. Why not just go "and because you're sexy" or hot or ANYTHING except throwing your girlfriend under the bus. Why would your mind even go there?

I guess she doesn't like being demeaned by the deadbeat that moved from his parents house to her house. She's crazy that way.

Very good point.

The fact that he felt the need to explain to his cousin why she should friend him tells me everything.

When you have to resort to explaining why you should be friends on facebook to family members, it generally means that at some point in the past, you did something that would make them not want to be your friend.

Which is likely the previous jokes.

I would wager a guess that they probably weren't well received in the past either, but she was likely too insecure to deal with the issue at the time and felt the need to play along with the OP in order to deal with her feelings of uncomfortably.

I think the final twist of the thread will be the reveal that the cousin is a "cousin" in name only; really a close family friend, maybe even a god-sister, which are often referred to as "cousins" at least in my family.

Every single time there is a thread like this they always leave out the key part of the story.

There is no mystery here. OP,your ex isn't crazy, you were just being incredibly creepy and got caught. The end.

Here's the joke. It's stupid, you will all prob say I deserve the breakup but i'll be honest. It's not even a joke really but this is what I said.

She asked me why should she friend me on FB. I listed reasons like I think she is smart, ect

and at the end I said

" And also, you are sexually more attractive than her, LOL"

Look, if I deserved the breakup over that comment. That obviously was stupid, inappropriate go ahead and tear me apart. I want to know if it was justified for her to breakup over that comment.

To be 100% clear nothing ever happened between me and my cousin in any sexual mamer

Oh, OP...

There is no mystery here. OP,your ex isn't crazy, you were just being incredibly creepy and got caught. The end.

Well, she was also crazy if we're to believe that she wouldn't let him keep a lock on his phone so she could go through it, or yell at him in stores whenever another woman looked at him

Now I'm not inclined to believe any of that, but even if it's true, in the war of the crazies, OP wins by a longshot

Rereading the OP, I'm starting to get this creeping feeling about this conversation as well (between the GF and cousin). She didn't just read your FB post, she had a convo with this person; they came to an understanding. Unless you meant to type something else?

Have you spoken with your cousin since this incident? Did she back you up saying it was just a joke? Or did she tell your gf that you'd been pulling this shit for years and that she should bail?
More info needed OP. Spill it.

I knew coming into this I would be flamed. deserving too.

Here's my point.

An (drunken) inappropriate comment to another female is enough to break up a relationship? Yes or no?

From what I'm reading it sounds like you sexually harassed your cousin when you were younger to the point where she didn't wish to even have you as a FB friend. And you recently tried to end this separation by sending her a list of reasons you need to see her, including the reason she is more sexually attractive than your current partner.

honestly the odds are your cousin just would not be into it anyways, even if she thought you were cute. run the calculations next time

Women, we so crazy, not wanting to date guys who not only think their cousins are more sexually attractive than us, but also tell them so.

OP, first of all, making sexual jokes with your cousin is weird, dude. Cut that crap all along from now on.

While the joke was on the mean side, it surely isn't a reason to break up with someone. You got a few problems here.

1. you made her the center/the fundament of your life. Never ever do that again. NEVER EVER. Loving someone doesn't mean you have to focus your whole life about that SO. Learn to love yourself and eventually you will understand your huge mistake here.

2. you made yourself a prisoner of her low self-esteem. She has trust issues? Her problem. She doesn't want you PIN lock your phone? Her problem. Seriously, don't deal with people's insecurities. She doesn't wanna respect your privacy? Show her the door.

3. don't change for anyone. As soon as you notice your are changing yourself just to keep a relationship running and keeping the SO happy, something is wrong. Don't do that. If somebody can't deal with your characteristics as a person and/or your privacy, move on.

So here is the thing, while you think she was the perfect woman, I can tell you 1000% that she was not your perfect match. You were in a toxic relationship, so instead of sobbing you should be celebrating it. Yeah, you may still love here and the sex was probably great but a few months down the line, you may remember (or not) this post and you will eventually understand that this relationship was all wrong. Your opening post was full of red flags so yeah, celebrate your freedom and never ever make yourself somebody's bitch again.

Just don't listen to all these people commenting on your joke. While creepy, nobody in a healthy relationship would break up over this.

OP: Hey guess who got a great gf now???

Cousin: Who is this?

OP: Your cousin. Remember you said I couldn't get one 15 years ago haha

Cousin: Oh...

OP: Friend me?

Cousin: Why?

OP: You're smart, beautiful, talented, funny, perfect, etc.

OP: And also, you are sexually more attractive than my gf, LOL

Cousin: WTF?

OP: jk

The day my gf even so much as gives me a dirty look after I squeeze my cousins ass and tell her she's hot, I'm fucking done !! Preemptive strike.

Actually, it was her place, so she showed him the door.

If OP thinks that women are crazy because they don't like being called not as hot as their SO's cousin, then I must be a woman.

Well, the rest of GAF might be afraid to give the truth OP, but not me. I think its clear that you need to start dating your cousin. For all we know her lack of response to your joke was because it hit to close to home for her, opening a door she thought had been closed long ago. Don’t toy with her emotions any longer, OP.

But seriously, I think that if it had been any one of your recent missteps, this could have been overcome. Like if you had just made the joke, or only stayed up till 3 playing video games and ignoring her, or way back at the being had only hooked up then avoided her. It’s the combination of all these things that speak to a pattern of behavior that she doesn’t want in her life. Can’t say I blame her.

The good news is you can take this a learning experience, and next time you meet that someone special, don't do those above things. Some soul searching may also be in order as well, to try to discover why you choose to do these things to someone who apparently did not deserve it.

On the bright side, now you don't have a girlfriend and you're free to pursue your cute cousin! You've been putting in work all this time and it's about to pay off.

The cousin was clearly fishing for compliments from our drunken cohort. She just dangled that friend request over Jea's head until she got what she wanted. And in her pursuit of compliments, she leaves a trail of destruction, that is Jea's relationship.

Stop hitting on your cousin. It's making everyone uncomfortable.

GAF really on a cousin-boning kick lately. Guess I should probably quit GAF before the incest bug bites me too...

You should consider dating your cousin.
There is nothing wrong with it. Einstein did it and we know he was a smart man.
Go for it op.

Lol

She probably told him he'd never get a gf because who would date a guy that has been actively trying to bone his cousin for past 15 years ?

Something is off about this thread. OP you said:

well, I go to bed later that night and my girlfriend gets my phone while im passed out and starts chatting with my cousin. She was pissed and wanted to know why I was talking to her ect.

So you should know exactly what your GF and cousin were chatting about and why she's so pissed, yet you seem confused...what was their conversation about?
