should we expect a Kingdom Hearts collection on PS4?

Never played a kingdom hearts game but love Disney so would love to play them, only have a ps4 atm so no other platforms to play them on.

Selling less than the ps4 yes no one will fight you on that, but the system is far from a failure, it's selling more than the 360 was at this point in its life cycle and is selling enough to that a publisher wouldn't just ignore it.
 
The KH collection should be also coming to the Xbox One, don't be silly people. Why would they ignore the whole XB1 userbase for prequels of a game which is relasing for said console?
Is Square Enix that stupid?

Look at recent japanese games on ps4 and xbone and then compare the sales between them. Instal base is just part of the equation.
 
I believe they mentioned they wanted to do one for the Xbox One. They said that they wanted it to be as easy as possible for Xbox loyalists to jump into KH. If it happens there, I can't imagine it not happening on the PS4 (and vice versa).

I haven't bought either collection for the PS3, as I'm expecting one on the PS4, but we'll see.
 
I can imagine the reason they don't port the complete KH HD Remix series would be because they lost the source code to KH1, so porting it my use some Sony proprietary stuff.

As much as I love Kingdom Hearts, I don't want to even look at Birth by Sleep again after platinuming it.

I honestly have no interest in playing the games again right now, so if they really do release a collection of 1.5 & 2.5 for PS4 / XB1, I'll likely pass.

I'll take a KH3D HD though.

Definitely. If they do maybe they could include cut-scenes explaining the other platform versions.

Something to consider though...The PS4 is enjoying a RPG renaissance in Japan.

Persona 5
Disgaea
Ys
Dissidia
Star Ocean

And I'm pretty sure I've missed some. If MS doesn't step up I think even less and less jrpg games will come to Xbox One. If Sony is smart they team up with Hironobu Sakaguchi and let him go to work on Legend of Dragoon.

I expect an XB1 collection at least in the US where the gap isn't ridiculous. I mean it'd be idiotic not to and expect your already announced KH3 to sell well with no prior history. Besides as anecdotal as it is, I know quite a few people who'd jump into the current gen for that simply because the XB1 is cheaper most places than a PS4 and KH is all they want.

If you like action RPG's, you're in for a treat. I hope the trend of porting over the HD collections to PS4 continues so I don't need to bother buying a new PS3 to replace my broken one.

As a business would it make sense as far the install base? I'm not an accountant but the consider that right?
 
They probably will be released for current gen consoles.

I think it's more of a question of timing than anything else.
They probably will release it again a couple of months before KH III releases to build up hype for the game.

ehh i doubt it. They wanted to release Type-0 HD to build up the FF fanbase on PS4/One in prep for FFXV and that is not coming till next year.
 
Why on PS4? New KH coming on both platform. Would be dumb to only release on one.

Birth By Sleep HD Remix
Kingdom Hearts 1.8

And
Kingdom Hearts 3 demo Episode: Twilight
 
I think it has to happen. It's the reason I skipped the HD collections on PS3. The way I see it, KH3 is coming to XB1 which means there's going to be a whole lot of gamers that would benefit from having a series collection come out on that system so it'll have to come to PS4 as well.
 
Of course you should, although Kagari already gave an answer on that one. The real question is will it be on Xbox One. FFX isn't and neither remaster is on the 360.

I wouldn't be surprised if a KH remaster remaster become multiplat, but if it were a PS4 exclusive that wouldn't shock me either. The fanbase isn't on the X1. Hell, I have a feeling if the Wii U could handle KHIII, it would sell better on that console than the X1
 
A 60 dollar HD collection with every Kingdom hearts game ever made and you have much purchase. 60 dollars would be justified because you get ridiculous amount of content.

While the initial reasoning behind this was thought to be the initial exclusivity deal with Sony, it seems resources play just as much of a part.

But there’s also schedule constraints, as we really don’t want the development of Kingdom Hearts III going later, so we have that to think about. Maybe, In the North America since that's where most Xbox One are sold. I doubt the rest of the world would care.

Even if a Kingdom Hearts HD collections was released on Xbox One, if FF Type-0 HD sales are any indication of where people are gonna buy Square Enix games, they are not gonna exactly sell well on it. Seemed silly to announce Kingdom Hearts III for a MS console in the first place since none of the games have ever made it on any of their platforms.

I mean I don't see Star Ocean 5 being released on Xbox One, when in the previous generation it was exclusive to 360 till the international version.
 
I'm still kinda surprised KH3 is coming to Xbone to be perfectly honest. Don't matter to me in the slightest, but the series relies so heavily on every single game that if you miss just one, you are out of the loop.

So missing 7 and jumping into the 8th is...uhhhh.......good luck.
 
Bought KH1.5 HD, held off on KH2.5 HD cause of the FFX/X-2 PS4 announcement. Cause of that I'm 99% sure it'll come one of these days.


Though hope we see a KH 3D HD release as well.

Rumblings? I thought 80% UK and 99% Japan were confirmed? I know the gaf number from best buy was 75% but we should get a full split on Thursday at least.

Also looking back at ff13 I believe the split was about 66% ps3 in just us/UK when the 360 was dominating.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this only came to ps4, I'm just not sure the audience is there on xb1 for it and who knows if there are any license agreements or anything from the originals or the ps3 ports that never made it to 360.
 
I get a feeling they'll bring the KH collection to the PS4 with the addition of a 3D HD of some sort. I highly doubt they'd make it a standalone with a KH3 demo, however, it is possible with Type-0 HD and XV demo released. And if they do release it on the PS4, no doubt they'll do a big complete collector's edition. So I'm leaning more towards "Yes, we'll have PS4 version w 3D HD"

I doubt they'll ignore the XB1 usebase. However, I don't think the KH remixes have been released on any xbox platform yet. Idk if amazon doing this is too soon but it looks possible.
