I'm interestes in SG, but is it coming to ps4? Also will there will a bundle to buy all the dlcs or a season pass or something? Just wondering cause I heard back last year it was coming to the Vita too, so I wanted to wait...

Aiming for a June release for PS4, and maybe Vita.

PS4/Vita will be cross-buy, include all the characters, and have some new modes and features, as well.

YAY! I'm glad that Lab Zero is still working on this. After the IndieGogo characters I wonder if there will be a sequel?

why did i imagine him more limber from character art

Because he was more limber from the original character art, a decision was made to tweak the design a bit in the design phase I guess.

They've hinted at having a new project in the works but I doubt it's Skullgirls related and I don't expect we'll be hearing anything about it until after the PS4/Vita release.

One more question:
Do you have a set price in mind or is that TBA? Thanks for responding to players :)

We've mostly decided on it, but it's not final yet.

We're planning to have a pre-order campaign with a (really nice) PS4 theme as a pre-order incentive - guessing we won't actually announce the price until then.

Not that I needed a reason to pre-order, but that's pretty cool. I can't wait to hear about the new features so I can put my hope for my ideal team to rest.

E: Even if it takes you a few weeks of five minute chunks, you should definitely do a post-mortem of bringing SG to life.

The amount of pro wrestling inside jokes Beowulf has makes me so happy.

The VA for Beo is absolutely perfect for his character, I get a laugh everytime he howls.

This actually reminds me that I should do a big post-mortem write-up on Gamasutra or something, and get a follow-up discussion going over here.

...Except I have no idea when I'd find the time to write something appropriate.

That would be something I would be supremely interested in reading.

That robofortune video looks great! Her new magnet super is so much fun.

This will get me to play Skullgirls again, I didn't care for most of the characters but kind of liked how the game felt.

if there ever is one there better be some time travel alternate timeline/reality stuff going on.

Really wanna see an adult peacock, Umbrella, Painwheel and Skullgirl Fillia and maybe some undead valentine.

He was one of the least interesting characters to me when Alex showed him as one of the potential characters, but this trailer actually made me a bit excited for him. I probably won't play for me, but I'm intrigued now.

I don't know how to answer that question, because I always thought it was Peacock.

Such good taste. My man

Wow, robo fortune is way more different than I was expecting! I was expecting a clone, but she looks a lot different.

She was originally going to only reuse Ms. Fortune frames, like how Fukua only reused Filia frames.

Fukua was actually an early test of the concept, and turned out well enough that she became our AFD joke and the community voted to keep her in the game.

Anyway, some of our patch testing ended up cheaper than expected, which freed up enough money to do a complete redraw of the character and give her all-new moves.

And we were able to get a head start on clean-up because 61% of her frames (movement, hit-stuns, etc.) were reused, so we could send contractors the original Ms. F frame and the RF model sheet while Beowulf was in pre-production, which cut her production time way down.

It's been a while since I last played SG. I can't wait to try Da Wulf.

Almost as embarrassing as the voting wars thread (once it all started).

My old salt wounds...they are reacting.
Gotta keep the fanvote wars under wraps for the sake of unity. Shit was like our civil war lol.
Shame that Panzerfaust didn't win.
It's okay, brother. One day Annie and Panzerfaust will make it. Then we can make a Big O team with Smithwulf, Dorithannie and Big Panzer. It'll be glorious.

This is something I really want to read about.

I'm sure with Beowulf coming out and Robo Fortune not too long away, Lab Zero must feel that they have a huge weight off their shoulders as they can focus on just tweaking the game, as well as their next project.

I've been wanting to write it, but it will definitely be the single largest thing I've ever written.

After working on this game for four years, it's pretty surreal. And I wasn't ever even supposed to be involved with it, outside of community management.

With the exception of the ports, we're very close to being done.

And we're starting up on the next thing pretty much immediately.

Is Skullgirls Encore going to be up on the JP SEN store for the PS Vita versions?

I'd love it on my Vita but it's store locked atm.

Awesome, I'll definitely pick this up till Yatagarasu comes to PS Vita.

How does the Vita version compares to the PS3? Just a resolution difference?

Still working out some kinks in performance and memory, but that's the most of it.

Backgrounds are currently 2D, but we'll see if we can get them back to 3D after some further optimization, now that we have the additional memory they just unlocked.

It's gonna be so awesome now that the game is close to completion. I hope they give it an EVO spot when it does.

Also, will this ever get ported outside the PS family?

It was crazy. All the factions that rose, and the crazy wildcards like Aeon. Like seriously, all her fans were super quite but she made it twice to top 4.

Never took much notice of this game. ...until now. Hyped to hear there is a vita release. I'll likely grab that version. Hope it gets a retail run.
